She lived a relatively normal life there after being stripped of her fear of death as all Dotharl children are. She spent much of her time training with her chosen weapon, a heavy two handed blade. Eventually she was old enough to join the others in battle. In her first battle Drohkya got her first taste of death, a taste that will come to define her life. The young Drohkya continued following her warband from battle to battle, picking up a love for crafting masks along the way. </font></div><br> |

She developed a reputation for being a ferocious mask wearing warrior as she grew up. All was well until one disastrous raid that would change Drohkya's life forever. The raid was supposed to be a fairly easy one. One that would not even require the full might of their warband. Drohkya was sent with a handful of other warriors to raid a small passing clan. Unfortunately Drohkya's warleader underestimated the Chieftain of that clan. The chieftain was prepared and set an ambush of his own. Drohkya and the other warriors fought ferociously but they fell one by one to the chieftain's superior numbers. Drohkya herself killed many of them, sustaining wound after wound in the attempt. She knew her end was drawing near and saw an opportunity to take the chieftain with her. She leapt at him for a final strike but it was not to be. He struck a well placed blow to Drohkya's chest and she finally fell. Drohkya looked up at the sky, unable to move anymore. Despite her many wounds, she was not in pain. Rather than pain, she was filled with joy. She closed her eyes as the battle continued to rage around her, eager to accept death. |

It seemed she was picked up by a passing tribe that stopped to scavenge the aftermath after they found that one of the bodies was still breathing. The healer explained to her that she had been asleep for several days. They went on to explain other parts of Drohkya's current condition but she was distracted with an observation of her own. She was thinking clearly. More clearly than ever before in her life. It was as though all background thoughts and noises were gone. Drohkya had plenty of time to mull it over, as it would be several more days before she was able to comfortably walk again. She thought about returning to her warband once she was better but decided against it after meeting Shudarga, the man that would later become her husband. She stayed with them for nearly a year, taking the role of one of their hunters during her time there. Eventually she decided that it was time to leave. She knew that she could not take Shudarga back to her warband. He was weak and frail. He would not be suited for life among the Dotharl. Instead she chose to leave the steppes entirely. After some time of searching, Drohkya and Shudarga managed to find Eorzean sailors who would take them to Eorzea in exchange for their horse. |

They had several stops to make before reaching their final destination and took the time to teach them the language spoken there as well. After some time sailing from port to port they reached Limsa Lominsa, their final destination and they parted ways. Drohkya decided to take the advice of the first mate and try and get work as a sellsword. Eventually she managed to find a form of permanent employment with a mage by the name of Mirashka in Thanalan. Drohkya learned a lot about magic and how to combat mages during this time and made many contacts who would prove to be useful in the future. |
