Haizea Houden ⥼W.I.P.⥽ Error creating thumbnail: File missing About
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Standing at 5 fulms and 6 ilms, Haize is on the taller side for a Miqo'te. He has a slender build for the most part, carrying most of his muscle in his lower half. He has wide hips, and thick legs, giving him a more feminine appearance. This femininity is only accentuated by his smooth complexion, dainty facial features and long hair. His eyes are a vivid ruby color, appearing crimson in some lights which are one of his most prominent features, a distinction he inherited from his father. His hair is an ivory shade of white, almost a very pale blonde, which rusts at the tips. He usually styles his hair in a high ponytail, which falls to his shoulders, with sharp bangs partially covering the left side of his face. When his hair is down, it's length reaches approximately to his mid-back. Haize isn't one to shy away from cosmetics. He is often seen with light make up to accentuate his features. Scars & Markings: Haize has the typical Miqo'te eye marks for his assigned sex, though has been known to cover these up with make-up when wanting to feel more feminine. Aside from that however, Haize is free of any other traditional Miqo'te markings one might expect. In addition to this, Haize has a small scar on his right cheek, about 2 ilms long. He was gifted this scar by a particularly aggressive bear, though is incredibly lucky no further damage was done. Voice: Haize's voice is always laced with sarcasm. He's known to curse a fair amount too. In a juxtaposition to his mannerisms, Haize's voice is actually very soft and gentle. His voice flows with peaks and troughs, and is never monotonous. He speaks with passion. Clothing: Haize is incredibly body positive, which is shown in his fashion sense. His favourite asset he likes to show off are his legs, and wears clothing which draws attention to them. Haize often wears revealing clothes most of the time, though knows when to dial it back and dress more conservative when in the presence of those he looks up to and respects. When he's not showing his ass to all of Eorzea, Haize likes to wear outfits that show his status. He is often seen with a brooch of his family's crest on his body. His favourite colours are white, black and gold, and can be seen wearing these colours most often. Haize can always be seen with an emerald, silk ribbon wrapped around the tip of his tail, with a silver bell tied around the fabric. This was given to him as a parting gift by his half sister when he left for Limsa Lominsa and has kept it on his person ever since. Error creating thumbnail: File missing Being raised in such a prestigious environment, it's no surprise that Haize can come off as a little.. elitist. This isn't completely out of malicious intent though, partially it's because he genuinely doesn't understand not having a wealthy upbringing. To describe him in a word, Haize is sheltered. He is also snobby, snarky and sarcastic. At least to strangers. Once some walls are broken down, it is revealed that the Miqo'te has quite the generous streak, and is caring for the few he holds dear. He has a voracious appetite for learning, and absolutely adores all forms of magic.
WORK IN PROGRESS Life for Haizea was mostly uneventful for his earlier years. He grew up in Old Sharlayan, on the Isle of Val under a family of high social standing. He developed a fascination with the local Chocobos, and quickly became attached to the feathery friends. After pleading his father to get his very own, Haize finally owned a Chocobo. One wasn't enough, though. Another came along shortly after, and before he knew it, he had an entire stable built for them! Unfortunately, a wild bear had somehow wandered into the territory, and nature took its course. Haize tried to defend his babies from the volatile creature, but was quickly whisked away by his family in order to avoid getting mauled. Though he made it out alive, sadly a few of his beloved Chocobos fell victim to the attack. Haize received two things that day; a small scar on his right cheek, and a life long fear of Bears. He attended the Studium at age 11 and studied there for five years wherein he learned the art of Arcane Magic. At age 15, a year before his graduation, was when the Calamity struck. Old Sharlayan was unharmed but still affected. This was a cataclysmic event. Bahamut raised Eorzea, and nothing was the same ever since. He attempted to remain focused on his studies, with a dream of becoming a member of the Circle of Knowing post graduation. Haize graduated at 16, and almost immediately begins a mentorship with Students of Baldesion, in hopes of getting closer to the Archons. He is sent to Limsa Lominsa, as a closer point of contact for the Circle of Knowing and the Students of Bladesion, and helps in communications between the two, especially during the hectic time post-calamity. Unfortunately, Haizea's responsibilities within the Circle of Knowing were minimal. He was just a young adult and didn't possess the skill set to be involved with more urgent topics. Essentially he played delivery boy to the Waking Sands, transferring shipments from Limsa to Thanalan and delivering them to Urianger or Minfilia. That was the extent of his communication with the Scions, much to his dismay. In order to pass the time, and make some Gil on the side. Haize volunteered at the Arcanist Guild, and helped tutor growing Arcanists with the help of Thubyrgeim. It is in Limsa Lominsa that a certain Raen catches his attention. She went by the name of Pyrrha and the two became friends, quickly turning to lovers. Pyrrha was undertaking conjury lessons at the time, as her Medic role in the Maelstrom called for her to know basic chirurgeon skills. Haize took a few of these lessons along side Pyrrha, to bolster his range of magic & satiate his need for learning. Months spent with Pyrrha turn to years, and all too soon, Haize's internship within the Circle of Knowing has expired, the Warriors of Light return from where they were cast, a new era begins and a realm reborn. Life for Haize certainly wasn't where he expected it to be, but he was by no means unsatisfied with the route he had taken. He was content in helping out at the Arcanist Guild, and he and Pyrrha had the best of times together. Soon they meet a tall Miqo'te named E'Nohx Tyaka. A fresh face who tended to a particular bar in Limsa. Haize and E'Nohx did not get on well at first, but Pyrrha acted as a glue to their relationship, keeping them together, to both their bemusement. Haize's content life began to crumble. Out of the blue everything seemed to be going awry. Nox's presence caused friction between Haize and Pyrrha's relationship, and suddenly he heard news that the Isle of Val, his home, had completely vanished, with only a handful of survivors. Distraught, Haize desperately sought after a way to cope with this turmoil. It was then he remembered someone he met many moons ago. A girl named Khashii, who Pyrrha informed him of. She had experience with darkness, and from an outside perspecitve seemed to use it well by channeling her anguish. In secrecy, he tracked her down, now on the verge of recovery - and inquired about her power. Obviously, she was not impressed by his foolishness. She warned him of the dangers of tampering with dark arts, and firmly told him he would not find any answers by going down that path. He did not listen to her heeding, deciding to investigate further into the source of Khashii's power. After weeks of spending time in libraries, reading extracts and extracts of what little information he had about her, he found a lead to the Western Highlands. He uncovered Khashii's mother's work which had been left hidden by the Moks tribes to never see the light of day again. He used it's knowledge and attempted to quell his emotions through the use of thaumaturgy. Khashii soon found out about this, furious and blind with rage. Haize saw the girl as nothing more than a test dummy to see what new spells he could conjur using the forbidden arts. This caused Khashii to relapse into the darkness once more. Haize's naivety and recklessness acted as a catalyst for the powerful magic, badly damaging Haize with its usage. Defeated and on deaths door, Khashii destroyed all her mothers previous works, making sure no one could ever use it for their selfish ways again, and left Haize for dead. Though Pyrrha tended to his wounds, conjury could not heal broken pride. For so long he felt confidence in his magic. It was all his own, he thrived in it. The very idea for magic to have bested him was difficult to comprehend. His reckless attitude put a heavier strain on his relationship with Pyrrha, and the two decided it would be for the best if they no longer dated. Haizea was more miserable as he'd ever been. Suddenly everything he had turned on him. When he was at an all time low, a small beacon of hope shined through. He received a letter, from his family of all people. They were safe. They were unharmed. It was all Haize needed to get back in his feet and grab life by the horns once more. He made sure to keep in touch with his family, lest he lost them for real in the future. He also decided to give thaumaturgy another go. A round two, but this time at a steadier pace, with the lessons he learnt from his past mistakes guiding him. Haizea apologised to Pyrrha for the way he acted, and though their romance was no more, they remained very close. He also apologised to Nox for his prickly attitude, and the two learned to get on. Arguments were still had, but they were in higher spirits. As Haizea made steady progress with his study of thaumaturgy, his life began to amend itself. Everything was going to be okay. After a few months, Haize received another letter, this time in regards to a mysterious island which had been discovered close by to Doma. The description led him to believe this Forbidden Land, named Eureka, had the possibility of actually being his home, the Isle of Val. He begged Nox and Pyrrha to accompany him to Doma, wherein he could learn more about Eureka and hopefully rectify a missing part of his life. The two comply, and set sail for Hingashi. Most of Haizea's days were spent on the Isle of Val, now known as Eureka, and just how it came to be that the entire landmass was transported halfway across the world. During what little time he spent in Kugane, he met a Viera named Tiramisu Loplaine. A retainer to a wealthy family who vacated Ivalice on an airship named the Hilda Gardé. ---
