NPC Mathias Montagne ( ● ♠ ? ) ( NPC ) - My First Love Lexi and Mathias grew up together as friends, making promises to stay by each other's side and travel the world, and inevitably fell in love. It did not end well as Mathias' father insisted Mathias stay at home and take over the family business with Mathias agreeing, much to Lexi's disappointment. She refused to give up her dream of travelling the world and the two argued several times resulting in her leaving to follow her own path. Anna Rouge ( ● ♥ ✖ ) ( NPC ) - Mother Somehow managing to sneak into Ishgard, whilst pregnant and even finding employment, Anna seems quite an enigmatic woman. Lexi knows and remembers little of her, besides a vague memory of her face and voice. It is a safe bet that Anna is who Lexi has inherited her charm from. Lucien Montagne ( ● ♠ ♠ ) ( NPC ) - Villain Lucien had always ruled his home with an iron rule, barely tolerating his son's friendship with Lexi. As Mathias and Lexi grew older and entered a romantic relationship, he would do what he could to change his son's mind and force Lexi from their lives. Unfortunately, his underhanded and hateful ways made easy work of the couple and he was successful in causing Lexi to flee the city. Each day their friendship grows stronger and Lexi looks forward to exploring the Far East with her friend as her guide. Arc Moon ( ♦ ● ) ( PC ) - Mister Wolf Having not known Arc for long, Lexi still trusts him to keep a watchful eye over her. She is always eager to support him even without his offer to help resolve her issues in Ishgard. Lorrendor Hauland ( ♦ ● ? ) ( PC ) - Dear Lorrendor Though Lexi had often seen the Elezen frequenting the Quicksand often, the two never spoke until an idle conversation occurred one evening completely by chance. Lexi quickly took a liking to the stimulating conversation he offered and is pleased that he holds her in the same regard. She enjoys seeing him blush, especially as she is completely sincere when doing so. Oldman Ryo ( ♦ ● ) ( PC ) - Gentle Ryo When they initially met, Lexi was quite wary of Ryo's intentions, especially as he seemed quite inebriated at the time. After speaking to the Highlander for a little while, it was clear he had many stories to share and she is eager to hear them all. Sleepy Cat ( ♦ ● ) ( PC ) - Kind Sleepy While Sleepy may have not intended to become friends with Lexi, it seemed inevitable as they bonded over hair care. The second time they met, Sleepy brought Lexi gifts of hair lotions and lip balm, a pleasant surprise for the latter! Lexi's history may contain mention of unsettling themes so please be careful about continuing. Origin Lexi was born Elle Rouge as her mother never gave her a traditional Seeker name, choosing instead to have her and her daughter live under names disassociated from other Seekers. It is uncertain how Elle's mother came to be in Ishgard, Elle was never given a chance to ask, but she arrived soon after becoming pregnant. She worked as a servant in a noble family's manor and died when Elle was only three years old. Elle was then raised by another servant of the manor and she became friends with the young master of the house, Mathias. The two were inseparable at times, much to the chagrin of Mathias' father. Being a fan of firearms, Mathias was keen to share his interest with his best friend, teaching her to protect herself and eventually gifting her with a custom-made pistol. Elle and Mathias soon fell in love and made various promises to stay with each other forever, as young couples are wont to do. The two planned to leave Ishgard and travel the world, seeking out a life of adventure and freedom together. It was not meant to be. Soon after Elle's eighteenth birthday, Mathias' father was finally able to persuade his son to stay in Ishgard and become more involved with the family business. Elle and Mathias argued often about the choice and Elle felt it was better that they separated so that both could follow their chosen paths. Mathias was not so convinced and Elle ended up leaving Ishgard secretly, or so she had thought. Adopting the name Lexi, she made the choice to become a courtesan to support her travel as she did not have many skills to make a living from. Having brought her trusty pistol from Ishgard with her, she did have some protection from the dangers of man and beast on her travels. Some time later, she found that she was not quite free from her life in Ishgard. Mathias had contacted her, seemingly well aware of her new life and still insistent that she return to him. As she would continue to disagree, he would continue to keep a close eye on her, taking joy in tormenting her with letters to inform her of how much he knew. Despite this, Lexi would remain determined to enjoy her new life. Though her work came with risks, she was willing to accept them. She enjoyed mingling with people from different walks of life, from attending parties to just sharing drinks, and she will continue to do so even while being haunted. Recent Events Currently, Lexi spends most of her time in Ul'dah and is often found in the Quicksand. She is planning to travel to Kugane and beyond soon.
