Unnaturally white of skin, she drifts amongst the trees like a spirit. That is what they called her for years: a Spirit of the Shroud. But now, Rirde has come to Gridania. The robe given to her by the Conjurer's Guild fits awkwardly on her long, lanky frame. It would be ankle length on most Hyur, but barely comes to her knees, the sleevs only halfway to her wrists. Rirde's straight white hair spills messily over her shoulders as she wanders the city, equally white eyes surveying everything with curiosity and not a small bit of trepidation. She is aware that she stood out starkly, here as in the Shroud. But Rirde makes a special point to smile at each person she passes. Sometimes she gets a smile in return. Often people stare. She doesn't like the stares. Rirde plants one booted foot in front of the other. Another step. Another. She makes a point to touch the tallest trees, as if to ground herself. This is what she wanted, and she will see it through. A gentle soul, Rirde has always been drawn to the beings around her, Viera or not. She would often find missing and/or injured people deep in the forest, heal them, and drop them within site of civilization before disappearing into the trees. This eventually led her to going into civilization itself, seeking teachers of Shroud-Eorzean healing arts. It was all well and good to have herbs and a little magic, she reasoned, but she wanted to do more. To help more.
