P E R S O N A L I T Y

Chip is a mischievous kitten who's always eager to have fun. His playfulness makes him act like a little kid, even though he's well past his teenage years. When he was banished to the wilderness, he developed a habit of talking in third person to keep himself company.

Although he's a cute, innocent kitten, Chip keeps a dark secret caged inside. It is the only explanation for why he lives alone and not in the Tribe he was born into. He pretends to act squeamish at the sight of blood, when in fact he is actually afraid of it. This is due to the bloodlust he gets whenever he's around blood or sees it. The exact cause is unknown, but Chip is aware enough to know to avoid blood when he can.

Whenever Chip sees blood, something inside the cheerful kitten snaps. His pupils dilate and his eyes almost turn black. Claws sprout from his fingertips, his teeth lengthen into fangs, and a fierce bloodlust overtakes him. He will fight and kill endlessly until someone knocks him out. When Chip awakens and is back to his normal self, he is immediately remorseful and horrified at what he's done.

A P P E A R A N C E

Chip is a Miqo'te of short stature (5.25 fulms) and he's developed a scrawny build due to his constant diet of fish. Although he has no idea how old he is, he's got a youthful face and looks to be younger than 25. He's got fluffy purple fur and light grey eyes that almost look silver. When under the bloodlust, his eyes are completely black. Chip always wears shirts to cover his back, which is marred and twisted with whip scars. He is not exactly ashamed of them, but he does not like answering the question of how he got them. His clothes are very worn and torn in many areas, giving him the appearance of a shipwrecked victim and he's often dirty since he lives outdoors. He wanders around barefoot, but sometimes he can be seen in boots.

B I O G R A P H Y

Childhood

Born in Thanalan to a wandering Tribe of the Mole. He lived there until he was about seven-years-old, but never knew his family very well. His mother died shortly after his birth and his father was too busy fighting to pay attention to his only son. The other members of the Tribe raised O'kihp as best as they could, but he was always lonely. He was young at the time when the Battle of Carteneau/Fall of Dalamud occurred. It upset the balance of nature and the destruction rattled his Tribe mentally and physically. Fights periodically broke out as everyone prepared for the worst. Chip's Tribe was attacked by an enemy Tribe and he watched many of his family get brutally murdered. In the middle of it, he can't take it anymore and something inside him snaps. He goes berserk for the first time, and kills most of the enemy and some of his Tribe as well. It was his father who finally subdued his enraged son. Unable to bare the fact that his son would never be a successful warrior of the Tribe, he begs the Nunh to dispose of the monster he had sired. As was custom in their tribe, Chip is publicly flogged before getting thrown into a boat and banished from his only family forever.

Teenage

The boat takes O'kihp to the outskirts of La Noscea, where he is forced to survive in the wilderness. Slowly, the Miqo'te comes to terms with his new life. Alone and abandoned, Chip is taken in by a kindly fisherman and his wife. They treat his wounds and teach him how to fish. He longs to stay with them, but he was afraid he might lose himself again and kill them. Deciding that living alone was the best option for him, Chip returns to the wildnerness of La Noscea.

Present

With fishing rod and tackle in hand, he roams the shores in search of the tastiest fish and few stories to share. Passing merchants and caravans will often stop wherever Chip happens to be at, having heard he cooks free meals. Stories are shared, fish is eaten, and a new life is made for O'kihp Tia.
