P E R S O N A L I T Y

Outwardly, Alia looks like she cares only about the three Fs. Fighting, food and fu--well, you know. Nothing seems to bring her happiness more than a belly full of good food, blood being spilled, and a good roll in the hay. However, to the scrutinizing observer, her belly laughter or mischievous grin doesn't always quite reach her eyes. There's a lot more underneath the facade, though the Elezen would have everyone believe otherwise.

She's quick-witted, brash, with a mouth on her that gets her into trouble more often than not. In fact, as observed by others, trouble seems to follow this Elezen wherever she goes. She can show incredible kindness towards animals, going out of her way to help one in need. However, with people, she has more difficulty. Alia gets awkward when someone requires comforting, never quite sure what to do. She is, however, extremely loyal to her friends and allies alike, and is learning to care enough again to have something to protect.

A P P E A R A N C E

Aliandrielle is extremely tall with a lithe frame, and wiry muscles that have been finely honed from years of use in fights. A deep scar runs along her left chin, though that is not the only mark on her body. Alia has a large amount of silvery scars on her body which mar the Elezen's statuesque frame, half of them obvious fighting scars and the other half bear too precise of lines to be from weaponry. Her presence can be unnerving or threatening, especially when she looks ready for a fight.

Noteworthy scars:

■ When she is not wearing gloves, an angry crimson scar can be seen slashed into her left palm.

■ Two thick silver scars in an X pattern are on her lower abdomen.

■ The mark of Rhalgr is branded into her chest wall, on her left side. The brand is small and is usually covered by clothing or her arm - therefore, it is very hard to be able to notice/see.

■ There are a number of surgical scars on her body - a few to note: two on her mid-back, right below the rib cage on each side; one under her left collarbone, at the level of her heart; three lining her scalp under her hair; two on her lower back at each side of her flank.

The Elezen is normally wearing a combination of light cloth clothing and leather with very little jewelry - seen only with silver hoop earrings. When she is training in the Kindred's sparring room, her clothing tends to be less; Alia prefers to train in bare feet with a black outfit that promotes optimal movement. She has been forced into a dress through evil plotting only once in her life, and hopes to keep it that way.

L I K E S / Q U I R K S ■ Fighting - Alia loves a good fight, whether it's a bar brawl or on a battlefield. She lives and breathes for this kind of conflict. ■ Food - She doesn't seem to care much what kind of food, and isn't picky, as long as it's edible. ■ Sweetberry Juice - Alia appears to have developed a taste for this drink above all others. ■ Animal Affinity - She adores all creatures and tends to be able to tame even the most vicious beast. Alia has a habit of rescuing injured animals and nursing them back to health in secret. ■ Singing - When she believes she is alone, she has been known to sing to herself or to the animals she is nurturing. Alia would be utterly embarrassed if anyone knew about this. ■ Camping - She loves to live under the stars and to get away from things every once in awhile. Alia finds some peace out in the middle of nowhere, and this is the only time she will cook for herself or anyone else. ■ Massages - If she can trust the person enough to invade her personal space, Alia adores being massaged. Her body is normally a mess of tension and knots and a pair of strong, skilled hands can make this beast melt into a purring, mewling, and content puddle. ■ Pain - It makes her feel alive. Whether she's giving pain or receiving, she enjoys it quite thoroughly. Quite often pain mixes with pleasure for Alia. ■ Easily Embarrassed - Sexual content never makes her squirm - in fact, she enjoys making others squirm with how provocative she can be. However, when it comes to matters of the heart, Alia is an easy target. When embarrassed, often, she shows tell-tale signs: the tips of her ears tend to redden and this can spread across her cheeks if she isn't able to stop the teasing.

D I S L I K E S / V I C E S ■ Alcoholic Drinks - Alia will not touch a drop of spirits at any time, for whatever reason. ■ Challenges - The Elezen finds it difficult to back down once she's been challenged and will usually strive to win the challenge at all costs. ■ Adrenaline Rush - Alia loves to reproduce the highs that adrenaline brings her and this can lead her to live on the side of danger. ■ Personal Space - She has a tendency to sit at certain distances of people, and avoids having to be touched or hugged overly much in public. Still, at times, certain people test this dislike and have lived to see a new sun. She is usually also hyper-aware of her surroundings and chooses her position in a room with care. ■ High Libido - Alia enjoys sex quite a bit and has been known to be fairly insatiable. Her sexual proclivities range fairly wide, and she enjoys being able to have subjects to use them on. ■ Control Freak - She prefers to be in control the majority of the time - regardless of the situation. Surprises are dreaded to her (usually) and she likes to know the outcome of the situation whenever possible. ■ Useless People - Alia cannot stand useless people or idle chatter. She gets restless and angered when there are things to be done but everyone is sitting with their hands up their asses. ■ The Wealthy/Entitled - She extremely dislikes the rich and those who feel entitled - so much so that she will produce conflict with a person of decadence when possible. ■ Elezen - It doesn't matter what clan or where they came from, she dislikes her own race sometimes to the point of pure hatred. She views most Elzy as useless or weathy/entitled (or a combination of thereof).

T R A I T S

M E R I T S    Freakish Strength Alia's strength surpasses that of Elezen abilities. She may be comparable or even surpass some other races who are known for their brute force abilities.    Black & Blue Alia has a strong constitution and endurance when fighting. Whether rage or stupidity, she is able to take a beating, spit in her opponent's eye, and continue fighting well-past reasonable levels.    Fightin' Type Alia knows how to handle herself in almost any fighting situation. She is considered a master in martial arts, specializing in unarmed combat. Alia is knowledgeable in the pressure points of a body, and knows how to strike and where to get her desired effect. While she can kill a person with her bare hands, she hasn't done it - often.    Spin the Wheel As she gains more depth in spirituality, Alia is able to open more chakras and use them in combination with her martial skills. This can add to her attacks, and even aid in healing - though these skills are still rather new and not always reliable.    Meditation Frequently, Alia enters a meditative state in order to center herself and "even her out." This can help in pulling her back to a normal state and keep from a full-blown frenzy.    Bruiser Her appearance is sufficiently thug-like to inspire fear or at least disquiet in those who see Alia. While she's not unattractive, Alia does radiate a sort of quiet menace, to the point where people cross the street to avoid passing near her.    Acute Hearing Due to her genetic traits, Alia has exceptionally sharp hearing, increasing the difficulty on sneaking up to her or surprising her.    Light Sleeper The places Alia has come to rest her head have been far from safe, and her chosen profession never lent itself to any further sense of safety - because of this, Alia can awaken instantly at any sign of trouble or danger, and do so without any sleepiness or hesitation.    Glorious Grace Her lithe body is extremely agile and flexible. When she fights, it can look akin to a deadly dance, her movements elegant and yet dangerous. Occasionally, when she has her guard down, her normal movements can exude this grace; each step gliding effortlessly across a room.    Ethereal Voice While it is rare, the Elezen's singing voice could make the most hardened warrior cry. In her voice holds all of her emotions during song; pain and happiness alike. Such an angelic sound is beyond rare, as Alia would never let her hard exterior down long enough for this to come out around others.

F L A W S    Crude She's a damn bull running amok in a rose garden. No matter what the situation is, Alia prefers to tell it like it is - using lots of colorful words. She doesn't much care for the normal pleasantries, and can find them disingenuous or down-right offensive.    Overconfident Alia has an exaggerated and unshakable opinion of her own capabilities -- she never hesitates to trust her abilities, even in situations where she risks defeat.    Hot-Headed The Elezen has a temper on her not matched by many. It can lead to her punching things - whether inanimate or actual people. When she's on a war path, watch out! Her mood can be foul and her fists ache to throttle someone and it can be difficult to bring her out of it for some. Most of the time it's best to let her get it out of her system before approaching her again.    Gil-Driven She is driven by acquiring gil through mercenary services, and this can lead to her working for the highest bidder. Even still, this is provided the job falls within her odd sense of morality.    Nightmares Alia experiences horrendous nightmares every time she sleeps, and memories of them haunt her during her waking hours. Some of the nightmares can be so real that she mistakes them for reality.    Dark Secret There's something about Alia which she doesn't want people to know, and it would be very bad if they did (or at least she thinks it would be).    Berserker A beast is in Alia, and she is unable to fully direct it. Certain situations can cause Alia to enter a beserker-mode, and she is unable to fully pull herself out of seeing red when it occurs in full-force. During this, she is able to ignore wounds and continue fighting; however, Alia also must pay the consequences of her frenzied actions after it is over.    Energy Sieve While Alia has formal monk training, she has a difficult time with energy/chakras. Her focus is not as great compared to monks with the same amount of training as she has. When she summons her energy, the display can be an incredible sight to behold, but in truth the more energy is seen - the more of it is being wasted outside of the attack. Her energy can be like a wild fire with poor control and concentration.    Magic-Void Alia appears magically void, and this reflects in her ability (and lack thereof) for magic and communing with elementals.    Hatred She has a deep, burning hatred for Elezen of both clans. This may reflect in her responses (both verbal and non-verbal) around them.    Intolerance Alia appears uneasy around Lalafell and will try to remove herself from a situation of being alone with one, or cornered by one. This can lead to a panic attack if distance from Alia is not resolved.    Disfigurement Her body is covered in silver scars, some jagged, others smooth and precise. There is also a brand mark on her, marring her once perfect skin. It's clear, from the look of the scars, she's led a rough life - one that most likely included some form of torture.

PLAYER CHARACTERS   Vyncent Fields ( ♠ ✔ ) - Mop-Head Alia: "Twelve-damned bastard, son of a--" Beaux: "KWEH!" Alia: "Yeah, well. Treatin' me like some prostitute he could buy. He's lucky I didn't give him a matchin' black eye right there." Vyncent was the first in The Kindred she had met, who brought her in and interviewed her. There were a few altercations between the two which started as a bet that he made. He had wagered she could not hit him, and would give her three tries. If she won, he'd give her ten-thousand gil. It ended with Vyncent sporting a black-eye. He tried to make another wager with her when she came to collect, and Alia didn't seem to appreciate the premise, perhaps taking it the wrong way. Now, she seems to tread carefully around him, since she's trying to remain in The Kindred's good graces to obtain a more permanent employment. Still, from the looks of it, he offended and pissed her off pretty good, and she'd like to flatten his ass on the floor.   Ranic Iriq ( ♥ ♦ ✔ ) - Lovely Monster/Fuckin' Idiot Alia: "I guess Miss Cirina was on to somethin' with this feelin' right thing..." Beaux: "Kweh." Alia: "Guess he's right too. Damned if I want to admit it - he might gloat. But, this is happiness, huh? Feels, nice. Right." Beaux: "Kweh!" Alia: "Like he said...something to protect..." The first time she met Ranic, Alia had disappeared into the Kindred's sparring room, trying to blow off steam. She was trying to stay angry but Ranic, even from the start, was able to disarm her. No matter how much she tried, she couldn't stay angry. This has lead to the the beginnings of her trusting him, and a friendship along with something more that is burgeoning between the two. The pair are much alike in many ways - both covered in scars with a loner attitude. Yet, somehow when together, Alia feels strength. She feels stronger with him than she does alone. She might say he's a pain in her ass, but in truth, she wouldn't have it any other way.   Claisent Vaucotier ( ♦ ✔ ) - Purdy Boy/Lord Fanciest of Pants Alia: "Bakers. Pfft. He ain't foolin' anyone." Beaux: "Kweh?" Alia: "Probably some rich brat pretendin' to be lower class to fit in. I wouldn't put it past 'im." Beaux: "....kweh..." Hatred at first sight - or at least it was for Alia. Instantly, she had despised Claisent, all because of his race. Still, his aristocratic behaviors had not helped him any in her eyes. This led to a rather brutal sparring in the estate, leaving her with broken ribs and him with a black eye and a deeply cut lip. The fight helped him, however, seeming to remove the stick up his ass (at least partially), in her opinion. He is, however, becoming an Elezen which Alia seems to be able to tolerate being around.   Krattel Voss ( ● ✔ ) - Fellow Gourmand Alia: "Didn't think anyone else could pack it away like I could!" Beaux: "Kweh!" Alia: "Har, har. Well, I get hungry s'all...work up an appetite..." Beaux: "Kweh." Krattel's ability to eat seems only dwarfed by Alia, though it has given the gal a respect from the Elezen. She seemed to enjoy conversing with Krattel, looking forward to future sparring and eating.   Arnvidar Swiftheart ( ♥ ♦ ♠ ✔ ) - Blue/Arn Alia: "There's no way I would let him--no. I want to keep his heart the way it should be." Beaux: "...kweh? Alia: "Another dark spot on my soul means nothing." Beaux: "...kweh..." Alia: "I'd do anything to let him keep his perfect world..." Blue, as she calls him, is her closest friend. A fellow monk and Fist of Rhalgr, a supportive hand, and a nagging conscience - he provides all of these things for her. While she may think him a bleeding heart or too altruistic for his own good, she also wants to protect the purity of his heart. She'd walk through hell in his place if she had to, believing that's where she belongs instead of him.   Astaroth Nephilim ( ♠ ✔ ) - Lacy Dodo Alia: "I shoulda flattened his smug face in." Beaux: "Kweh!" Alia: "Well, who does 'e think 'e is?! Feckin' too good fer e'eryone else, all smug and superior." Beaux: "...kweh..." Alia: "Yeah, well, he can go feck 'imself." His decadence sets off Alia something fierce. The Elezen male is polite, even when she has him by his lace collar, dangling in the air and threatening to punch him. This infuriates her to no end. He seems to know just how to get under her skin and stay there, evoking the fury deep within Alia.   Cirina Malqir ( ♦ ✔ ) - Miss Cirina Alia: "She's a nice lass. Got lots of good intent." Beaux: "Kweh." Alia: "Aye, I suppose I respect 'er. She looks out fer 'im, y'know? Glad she does." Beaux: "Kweh." The tiny purple-haired Au Ra has gained Alia's respect, and this is the only person Alia will show any decent amount of politeness towards. The Elezen finds her lack of ability to process slang rather endearing, though it can prove to be slightly frustrating to explain these colloquialisms to her. While she might not always understand Cirina's ways, she'd strive to aid her if the tiny Au Ra was ever in trouble.
