Neutral Good General Information ❝ in her grandest form, she was covered in gold, iridescent jewels flowing. in her greatest form, she was barefoot in white cotton, the river-drenched skirts and grass stains her only adornment. ❞ ❝ the world can be a dark place, but a little light will shine on until the very end. ❞ Appearance Hair & Eyes Upa's hair is quite long in length, reaching just past her hips. Her deep brown locks are often adorned with various lengths of braids in several different styles - all specific to different parts of her life, signified by her tribe. These braids are decorated with beads, strips of ribbon, brightly coloured feathers, and other such trinkets. At the ends of her braids, she wears a small chain of beads that end with a tiny aether crystal, which she often draws power from when casting. Her eyes are wide and round, with colouring to mimic that of her mother's eyes. The right is a light blue, similar to a fair day's sky, and the left an almost pastel mint green. Physique & Markings Standing just below an even five fulm, Upa is quite a petite Miqo'te. Her form is mostly lean with ample hips, thighs, and breasts. The most muscular parts of her are her calves and legs -- thanks to her youthful days sprinting and dancing about the forests of her homeland -- while the rest of her is modest in structure. Her shoulders are smaller and hips larger, giving her figure a shape similar to a pear. Her ears are rather large for a Miqo'te, and thick-furred with tufts of longer hair at the tips, a signature characteristic of the Bhei'an tribe. Her tail is incredibly long, nearing three fulm in length, and covered in long, thick fur. Upa's facial markings are dark grey in hue, making a lovely contrast against her warm brown skin. Each cheek carries three marks, and her forehead holds five - one in the direct center with two on either side smaller than the first. A long, now-faded scar cuts across her features, beginning from the inside of her left brow and ending in the middle of her right cheek. Upon her cheekbones and around the corners of her eyes, faint hints of freckles decorate her skin and are accompanied by a single beauty mark beneath her right eye. Hygiene & Attire Upa maintains a normal hygenic routine, bathing once a day, if she is able. She takes delight in relaxing in a warm tub, and has even taken to creating her own soaps and shampoos and various bathing accessories in enhance the experience. She keeps her hair and tail well-groomed, often sitting down at the end of the day to comb through the empennage for any debris she might have collected. Her attire varies from day to day, though she is quite fond of a select few outfits from her surprisingly expansive wardrobe. Since moving to Ul'dah, she has donned a traditional dancer's outfit from her tibelands -- flowy skirts and decorative armbands with strings upon strings of beads and golden trinkets that clink when she walks. In more private and casual settings, she prefers light-fitting clothes, and comfort takes precedence over general appearance. Her favourite at-home outfit consists of a lovely red yukata and simple black shorts she purchased some moons ago. When she is out travelling, she takes to more practical attire, which varies depending upon her mood. She sports different sets of furs when visiting her tribelands, all of different meaning and design. Personality In her younger days, when she first ventured from the safety of her homelands, she was overly trusting, and naive to a fault. She was incredibly gullible and and her eagerness to learn more about the world and those who inhabited it had often left her in some sort of mischief or misunderstanding with he natives of Ul'dah. Since, she has learned to be more guarded, but she still finds herself able to warm to people quickly. Upa is an incredibly kind, soft-spoken woman, with much of her focus upon others, rather than herself. From a young age, she has been taught the importance of caring for her people, and despite dreading the inevitable fate of becoming her tribe's matriarch, the lessons the elders showed her have remained. From this, along with her own personal views of the world, she has often given many whom others might turn or even cower from a chance. She likes to believe that all people are truly good, and it is the circumstances they find themselves in that changes who they are. She treats everyone with the same kindness, softness, and love she would show anyone else, and in doing so has managed to grow close to many who have none. Upa's heart is an incredibly loyal one, and would easily lay down her own burdens to help carry those of another, if only to see them relieved. In doing this, however, she often forgets to care for herself, and is prone to short periods of moping and stress. She is studious and incredibly determined in her studies, having mastered the magick art of arcanum in her youth. Her yearning for knowledge did not cease there, and has lead her to where she is now. Upa spends hours upon hours at work at her desk in her quarters, intently pouring over tome after tome so that she might continue to expand the vast amount of knowledge she retains.
