Her skin is the color of toasted caramel, her horns and scales, like most xaela, a deep, regal blue. Most of her skin is clear, having led a largely wound-free life, though she does have rough skin on her hands, feet, and joints, the result of years of difficult living. Her tail is unusually thick, but slightly short, and lacking in spikes. Her hair is long and a dark, rich black, but usually remains tied up in a braid. Her eyes are blue, both with a bright blue limbal. Clothes: Tessa is most often found in her uniform from her previous employment: a charcoal grey coat and lined black undershirt, pants to match, black leather gloves and boots, and a charcoal grey tricorne with gold trimming. This suits her both in appearance and to keep her warm against the inhospitable climates of Coerthas. When in warmer climates or not working, she'll occasionally wear other garments, usually dyed bright, garish yellows and reds in an act of rebellion to the noble class normally associated with rich dyes. Voice: Tessa has a distinctive accent that, at first hearing, may lead one to believe she is of Vylbrand. However, this is just a combination of the "lowborn" accent she picked up growing up in the Brume, and the various lingoes used by her associates (past and present) in the trade and shipping industry. She is known to curse often and make some rather crude metaphors when particularly impassioned about something. Jovial, Carefree, Humorous, Naive, Passionate, Secretive Likes Travel. Tessa likes to move around and see the world. While not a true nomad, preferring to still have a proper home to go back to, she likes to take ships from place to place and experience new sights, cultures, and people. That is her primary reason for entering the trade industry. Booze. Tessa's not shy about her love for hard drinking, and will try almost any spirit at least once. Her tours of new regions almost always end with a night at the tavern. Of course, she may drink a little TOO much sometimes, as is the nature of her upbringing. Flight. To Tessa, going across the sea on a regular naval ship just doesn't have the same majesty as gliding through the sky on an airship, especially an individual one, such as a Manacutter. Au Ra. Tessa has a strong sense of pride in her race, especially those living in Eorzea, due to the struggles they've faced in getting there: the prejudice in Ishgard due to their similarities to dragons, and mass movement of refugees coming from Doma. Machinery. While far from a master metalworker, Tessa has a fascination with mechanical devices over simple blade and armor, whether that be something as simple as a gun, or as complicated as an airship or an autoturret. She spends some of her free time at the Skysteel Manufactory picking up new techniques. Limsa Lominsa. More than any other foreign city-state, she loves spending time in Limsa the most: it's the coolest, with the breeze coming in off the sea, and she gets along the best with its drunken sailor and pirate inhabitants. Dislikes Highborns. Tessa despises the rich and the noble, finding their wanton disregard for human suffering just as bad, or worse than, the murderous intent of dragons, primals, and voidsent. Dragons. Having lost a lot of friends and family to Dravanian assaults on the Brume, Tessa is no more fond of the scaled immortals themselves. Elezen. The race Tessa most associates with highborns, and which most often acts high and mighty. Oddly enough, she actually likes lalafell, despite their position in the Ul'dahn government. Hot climates. Even in light clothing, Tessa is too accustomed to the cold of Ishgard to adapt to the heat of places like Thanalan. She can tolerate La Noscea, as long as she's near the ocean breeze. Bugs. Icky.
