Ultimately, neither are serious about it and instead use it as an excuse to drop in on one another even if just for the sole reason of purposely being inconvenient. The two of them work together in running illicit contracts, making up for the kinds of jobs in which Lex is not suited for. She is more outgoing and friendly than he is and the pair can be viewed as two sides of the same coin.
