Cassiopeia Snowblood "She was born to be free, let her run wild in her own way and you will never lose her" About
Cassiopeia favours her Keeper mother in looks, taking only the golden blonde of her Seeker father. She has long, golden hair which is often messy and rumpled and lightly tanned skin. She has a snub nose that is peppered with freckles, generous lips and gentle lavender eyes. She has the typical face stripes seen on Keeper of the Moon, however they are slightly paler than usual. She favours towards plump, being softly curved and strong rather than lean. She's short, but powerful with broad shoulders and an hourglass figure. Cass tends to favour unusual fashions, choosing quirky fun outfits for casual wear and armour that offers her ease of movement while in battle. Unlike most marauders, who don heavy armour for protection, Cass usually favours clothes that offer ease of movement, allowing her to dodge blows rather than mitigate them. She often wears clothes in soft pastels and whites, a throwback from her days in the harsh deserts of Thanalan. She rarely wears jewellery or make-up, preferring to keep things simple and clean save for the occasional whimsical accessory.
Cass is incredibly happy-go-lucky, keeping a positive attitude and sense of fun regardless of the situation. She delights in spending time with her friends and family, finding pleasure in being surrounded by those she loves. She has a naturally playful nature and enjoys playing games and joking around. Her bright and breezy personality means making friends comes easy to her, and she likes to spend time in social situations. As a friend, she's fiercely loyal, but can be a little stubborn and impatient, often making decisions with her heart rather than her head. She tends to put the needs of her loved ones ahead of following laws and being morally good, often showing a blatant disregard for authority. She has a strong need for freedom, and resists seeking steady employment or staying in one place to long for a fear she will become tied down and inflexible. The only tie she seems capable of bearing is her eternal bond with Xa'nyx, who offers a stable counterpart to her impetuous and often reckless behaviour. In Battle Cass' cheerful demeanour often seems at odds with her performance on the battlefield. She blends quick footwork and strength to be a focused and skilled fighter. Cass wields an axe with natural ease and grace, often working in conjunction with her wife to deliver a swift, almost acrobatic fighting style. Despite being a paid mercenary, she will often turn down work she finds distasteful, only accepting jobs she deems as morally acceptable, often letting her emotions rule her decisions. She finds joy in battle and often enjoys sparring sessions with friends and her wife, honing her skills and enjoying the playful competitiveness.
Cass was born as A'Suzu Pash. Her father was the Nunh of the Antelope clan of Western Thanalan, a powerful and strong man with a quick temper and lack of regard for morality and rules. Her mother was an unfortunate Keeper of the Moon who caught the Nunh's eye on a supplies run to Ul'dah. Pash Nunh preyed on the young Keeper and lured her back to the clan homelands, and gave her the option of death or the honour of becoming his wife. Choosing the latter, she soon bore the Nunh twin girls. One of whom was A'Suzu. Being born to the tyrannical rule of their father, the twins grew up fast, quickly learning about the harsh realities of the world they lived in. After the disappearance of their mother, the twins found the fire within them to oppose their father. Taking up arms and bowing to his rigorous training regime in an effort to turn them into his little soldiers, they pushed themselves harder than they'd every pushed. It took years of suffering his hand, and his temper, but eventually they felt ready. Ready to defend themselves, and traverse the harsh landscape of Thanalan, the twins fled their tribe, shrugging off the shackles that the Antelope clan had dragged them down with for years and taking up mantles of their own. While each still held onto their clan names for sentimentality, and to embrace their shared hardships, the twins took on new names, for a new start. Cassiopeia, always a fan of stargazing, chose for herself the name of her favoured constellation and took a surname for a nickname she had been given during training. Cassiopeia Snowblood was reborn. The pair began to wander Eorzea, revelling in the freedom offered to them now they were free of the rigidity of clan life and the pressure of their cruel, over-ambitious father. With a loose aim of searching for their mother, the twins never settled anywhere for too long instead focusing their efforts on travelling, picking up freelance work and enjoying all of the pleasures that being free gives to them.
