As members of the Kha tribe, her people were welcoming to outsiders showing deep interest in their lives and traditions. At the age of twelve, her family sent her to live with a Raen merchant family that her father had strong ties with. She was raised beside Melody Rokuyari, the natural daughter of the merchant and his wife, forming an almost sisterly bond with the girl. At the age of 18, she ventured away from the family to study mysticism and card reading when the merchant recognised a natural ability to manipulate aether and forsee events in the future. She travelled around the world with a former member of the Astrologian guild who had broken away after a disagreement over the use of astro magic. However her tutor ultimately ended up leading her down a dark path of witchcraft, causing the two to separate when Kyrie couldn’t align herself to dark beliefs of her mentor. Conflicted about the uses of magic and the dark and light side of the two, she spends most of her time offering fortunes, charms and card readings whilst trying to find a balance inside of herself that mixes the magic of astrology with darker, deep black magic while not causing serious harm to others. Currently Kyrie is currently a resident of Ul'dah, moving back to be closer to the trader family she was a ward of, in particular Melody. She spends most of her time in the city offering star readings and minor charms to the residents, with any spare time spent in the Arrzaneth Ossuary, or her private rooms buried in books trying to understand the history, use and impact of black magic. She often shuts herself away for days, locked in a quest to better understand herself and the darkness inside of her, fearful she will turn to madness like her former mentor. Error creating thumbnail: File missing Kyrie has dark blueish-grey skin which almost seems to glow in the moonlight, blue-black horns and hair and strikingly blue, glowing eyes. She's very lean and sharp-looking, with a pointed chin and thin cheeks, leaving her looking ethereal and unusual rather than conventionally pretty. Her body is lean and angular but with a strength rather than frailty. She cultivates an air of mystery in the way she carries herself and the way she dresses, both through preference and to appeal to customers wishing to hire a witch for a charm or reading. Kyrie is a bit of a loner, but forms deep strong bonds with those she comes to trust. She’s intensely bonded to Melody and would offer her life up for her friends without much thought. On the outside, Kyrie can seem fierce, sharp-tempered and closed-off. Her reputation as a witch has left people wary and untrusting of her, so she’s built up a wall to protect herself. However beneath this she’s highly loyal, quick-witted and passionate. She’s deeply absorbed in mysticism – using the Astro cards and the night sky to read her own fortunes daily, and unconsciously using charms and spells to get through daily life. She buries herself in books trying to resolve the rising darkness inside of her and reconcile the duality of magic – often spending full nights poring over pages forgetting to take care of her daily needs and often relying on Melody to remind her to leave the library every now and then. She often goes to the lalafell with questions and debate topics. Jannequinard ( ♠ ) ( NPC ) - Master of Judgement Kyrie has a strong dislike for the man, over what she views as the mistreatment of her former mentor. She believes the cold, unfriendly members of the Astrologian Guild contributed towards her mentor's descent into madness. Momodi ( ♦ ) ( NPC ) - Friend Kyrie has the beginnings of a friendship with the owner of the Quicksand. She often works from the bar, and Momodi supplies her with free drinks, food and rooms. The girls grew up together and formed a sisterly bond that has never been tested or torn even during Kyrie's dabbles in the dark arts. The news of her death sent Kyrie into a dark place, and led to her becoming more susceptible to her mentor's dark teachings.
