Tem was born the second child of a smithy and shopkeeper in a small village on the outskirts of Thanalan. WIP
Tem stands on the tall side for a Hyur Midlander, with skin of a smooth and rich tawny topaz on a svelte dancer's physique. Her mid-back length hair -- often arranged in elaborate braids and coils or pulled to the side -- is as the snow reflecting the sky; utterly white and striking against her warm complexion, in compliment of clear, crystal blue bedroom eyes. The grace with which she carries herself in public belies the strength and stamina of her craft, and she presents herself with a vulnerable, demure, and overtly feminine allure.
Scars & Markings: As generally expected of an entertainer, Tem's complexion is healthy and well taken care of, dewy and radiant, lacking in any visible marring save for a deliberate branding of a dove in flight adjacent the wiry, curling lines of a fox, along the curve of her left breast.
Voice: "Dark Honey" has been an apt descriptor for Paloma's voice; rich and throaty -- a soft, velvet purr edging on sultry with articulate, astute words. Tem, on the other hand, speaks with a general, silvery musicality.
Clothing: Out and about in public, Tem -- or rather, Paloma -- is typically seen in her white entertainer's fineries of near eastern make, adorned of golden filagree, tassels, bangles, bracelets, earrings, seed bells and brilliant gemstones; anything that might draw attention to her movements like silk over steel. Feathers and bougainvillea are typical mainstays of the dancer's ensemble as well as a good pair of clacking heels.
When not playing the part of her alias, Tem avoids making a spectacle of herself, choosing more practical, down to earth fashions, perhaps sometimes even so far as to don hoods and cloaks if the company is right.

Tem is a pragmatic woman, an opportunistic creature whose business and street senses were honed making a living as self-promoting entertainer in the bustling metropolis of Ul'dah. Cunning and shrewd, she is no stranger to using charm, being manipulative comes with the territory though for all intents and purposes, she has no desire to be malicious to those who don't deserve it. A vivacious free spirit, she is independent and adventurous and fast to make acquaintances, but slow to trust and make true friends. While for a long time after leaving her home, looking out for number one was her top priority, she is now fiercely loyal to the handful of individuals she calls friends and dotes on them.
As Paloma, this bedroom-eyed young woman is unacquainted with the concept of personal space, and unabashedly applies flirtatious tone and gesture to almost every facet of her everyday life. She is also something of a lush and prone to playful, if a bit lewd, commentary when under the influence.

Oyuu is from the Dataq clan, which is known for never staying in one place longer for a couple bells. He acted as a navigator and negotiator for his clan. He was involved in deciding the best routes and destinations for his tribes. His mother died during his birth, and his father was presumed dead after an unfortunate clash with a hostile Xaela clan when Oyuu was just six cycles old. He was then raised by his clan's Elders. From an early age, he was taught how to use the constellations to navigate and it was proven that he had an affinity for magic.
Oyuu's tribe had stopped in a small village to trade a few supplies, and this is where Oyuu heard whispers about mages who healed using the aether from the stars, and these whispers quickly invaded his head and never left. As he travelled with his clan, he searched for more information about these Astrologians. Soon, he found out there were some based in Ishgard and Sharlayan. He had been kept awake many a night thinking about these magicks, the ability to predict the future, to heal those around him with the stars that had guided him all his life. He found it too good to be true, and even considered the possibility of learning the discipline to be impossible. The doubts did not deter him however, and once he was ready, he left his tribe and made his way to Eorzea.
When Ishgard finally opened it’s doors, Oyuu arrived soon after. He found lessons from those at the Athenaeum Astrologicum that were eager to have someone to show and discuss the Sharlayan magical art with. He moved on quickly however, due to Ishgard’s not-so-friendly attitude towards foreigners and hoped to find another teacher somewhere on his travels.
This was when he came across his first mentor, K'hatos. A powerful thaumaturge knowledgeable of the strange and absurd and most definitely forbidden. Oyuu took to his teaching quickly, and also joined him on missions alongside the miqo’te’s Skypirate crew. The Xaela spent the next several Moons settling into Eorzea, adjusting to his new and rather stationary lifestyle compared to his time in his tribe.
However, his new life was turned upside down after an incident involving J'takra Tia and both were banished to be within K’hatos’ company ever again. The two new lovers took it upon themselves to explore Eorzea beyond Thanalan, working briefly for the Jackal and Hide company, and dabbling in thievery.
An opportunity came to Oyuu and J'takra when K’hatos’ son, Sahael Nevara had inherited his estate and was told to do something with it. Sahael had been instructed to approach the couple and ask for their to help to re-establish the Order of Ouroboros. A perfect opportunity to get back onto their magical training and have a new home, Oyuu and J'takra took Sahael up on his offer and have since helped him run the organisation. Oyuu was quick to settle into a leadership role, finding the Order’s mages and allies work to pay for their resources and add to their growing collection of magical relics and knowledge.
Whilst he still thirsts to become a smarter and better mage, Oyuu has become less selfish now he actually has a group of people and a cause to care about, instead of focusing on himself. He’s trying to learn not to throw himself into situations recklessly, although it has proven difficult with the temptations of the likes of void magic. With more responsibilities and new interests to be found using the Order, Oyuu has grown very busy.

The youngest of two siblings, a decade younger than her elder sister Elaise, in fact, of the two, she was the more frail of health and lacked the physical strength of her sister. While normally this would have lead her to walk in the footsteps of their shopkeeper father, Tem wanted nothing to do with the family business, and this resulted in strained relationship between her and her parents. Instead, she was more interested with the life and culture of Ul'dah, including street performance and dancing, which she introduced to her village with unquestionable success.
While Elaise toiled at the forge, Tem became the village’s sweetheart; a town treasure of all their own. But the backwater audience soon grew to not be enough for the young woman, and upon coming of age, Tem left to make a name for herself in Ul'dah.
But the people of Ul'dah were not so easily impressed, nor were the streets quite as kind.
