Scars & Markings: The only markings Neki possesses are tiny white stripes that can be seen on both her cheekbones and forehead, which is not too out of place for a Miqo'te. In pairs of three the markings sit on the girl's cheekbones, curving towards each eye and begin to gradually become smaller down her cheeks. On her forehead also rest similar marking, twin lines that point downwards toward each brow, also becoming thinner and smaller when further away from both eyebrows. Other than facial stripes, Neki's bottom half of her nose is considerably darker, its unknown why she has such a trait other than it was passed down from her mother, who most likely had a darkened nose as well. Speech: She speaks in a soft-spoken tone, quiet and gentle to the point it can be hard to understand what she is trying to say. Neki also talks with a stammer: using interjections, prolongations of sound, and repetition of words whenever a sound escapes her mouth; which happens even more often if she is extremely nervous. The way she speaks is always in a formal manner shown by how she addresses others as either 'Mister' or 'Miss' upon her first meeting with any stranger. Various phrases of Old English is used in her speech as well, not fully but merely common words people have used that she had picked up from her interactions with others. Many people from her home clan called Sano, “sinful” and “unruly” because of her actions of mating outside the Clan and by how she acted. Unknown Father ( ♥ ?) ( Birth Father ) - The Mystery He is a total enigma because no one knows who he is, but her mother. Some speculate this unknown Seeker either bedded Sano in a night of passion or had a secret relationship. Any male Seeker Neki passes by could be her biological father, although she is currently not searching for him. Waka’li Miakoda ( ♥ ) ( Grandfather ) - Title Given By Character Goes Here He was the caretaker of the twins much like any man in the Miakoda clan. The twins were placed on his lap after he pitied his grandchildren on how they were almost left for dead. He was a quiet man that kept to himself, but tried his best to care for Neki and her brother despite all the distaste the Clan showed them. Neki did respect her grandfather, but as of now doesn’t know if he is still alive or not.. Kimi Miakoda ( ♥ ) ( Family Friend ) - Title Given By Character Goes Here Her archery trainer and birth mother’s best friend. Kimi and Neki blossomed a bond over archery. Kimi was her only mother-like figure she looked up to in the clan. However, Kimi became increasingly concerned for both Neki and her brother’s wellbeing. She hatched a plan to leave them near a village run by outsiders in hopes they would better care for her friend’s children. Although she saved the twins, Neki views what she did as an act of abandonment to be rid of her. Kimi’s current status is unknown. Felicity Tatham ( ♥ ) ( Adoptive Mother ) - Title Given By Character Goes Here Neki’s adoptive mother, and a true one at that. Imaginative and optimistic, she tried her best to be the pillar of strength when everything hits rock bottom. Felicity was once a farm girl from Western La Noscea and is now a chococo handler at Bentbranch Meadows. Neki and Felicity bonded over their similar love for those feathered birds. Esti’a Nurai ( ♥ ✖ ) ( Adoptive Father ) - Title Given By Character Goes Here The only father known to Neki, who is a adoptive one. He was a Serpent Second Lieutenant that died at the Battle of Carteneau, trying to protect his homeland. He was a“salt-of-the-earth” kind of person and know for his stoicism. Neki greatly idealized him to the point she followed in his shadow. Yang ( ♥ ) ( Chocobo ) - Title Given By Character Goes Here He is a temperamental and overprotective bird, and has the right be. Yang travels with Neki on her adventures being both her protector and mode of transportation. He is a battle scarred bird who views any stranger as a potential threat to his owner. Yang was a gift from Felicity to help Neki ease her pain from the loss of her father and to be a friend at a time when she rarely talked to others. It is rare to see Neki without her beloved, forever loyal, chocobo. Melody ( ♥ ) ( Anima ) - The Cheerful Butterfly Born out of pure aether is how Melody came to life. Once only Neki could see this bubbly ball of light, but now all can see Melody with her new puppet-like body. This little Anima is a warm light to Neki’s life from her optimistic views and innocence. After hearing rumours of a sentient weapon being created that will be the ultimate companion, Neki set out to find out more. Since then, the duo had become “fast friends” and venture together wherever Neki might go (with Yang of course!).
