Philosophy & Mannerisms She believes in the powers of nature and the aether that drives it through its cycle. She feels that kindness should be shown to all, but betrayal of that kindness should be dealt with harshly. She is soft spoken and eloquent, graceful. Preferences Likes ● BOOKS. Seriously, she loves her small library. Her entire personal collection consists of fantasy and fiction as she hes been enamored with the genre since she was a small child. She loves non-fiction as well, though she prefers to keep those where they belong - available to the public for all to read. ● ASTROLOGY. An odd hobby for a learned scholar, for sure, but it's just one of her many passions. She finds solace and guidance in the stars and planetary movements. ● THE SEA. She may not be born of Limsa Lominsa, but her entire childhood was spent near the roiling seas. The scent of salt air and call of gulls are like a siren song, ever drawing her back to Llymlaen's embrace. Dislikes ● IGNORANCE. Or rather, willful ignorance. Everyone has the capacity for learning and understanding. Those who choose to remain ignorant when offered knowledge grate on her nerves. ● MOCKERY. Of herself, of her arts, it doesn't matter. She has a hard time not getting riled up over it. ● CELERY. It just tastes gross, okay? Hobbies & Skills ● SINGING. As well as all manner of musical arts. First, the shanties she learned by lurking around the docks as a child and later more refined songs learned from minstrels and bards drifting through Limsa. ● SKETCHING. She's no master at it, but she likes to adorn her research notes and tome with hand drawn illustrations to accompany her notes.

Sixth Astral Era Childhood She grew up in Limsa Lominsa under the care of her adoptive roegadyn mother, Blanwyda. Keziah's birth mother was an Ishgardian refugee seeking asylum from the Holy See and one of the Houses that sought to silence her for the scandal of carrying their bastard's progeny in her belly. Branded a traitor as a cover up and with a mark of death on her life, she fled and soon after gave birth to her only daugher, whom she named [REDACTED]. Eselle Lothaire passed away from illness shortly after arriving on Vylbrand, orphaning her daughter and taking her secrets with her to her grave. Keziah's childhood was happy despite not having many friends her age, most of the Hyur and Roegadyn children marking the young Elezen for bullying because of her differing appearance. She preferred to spend her time amongst the scholars and tacticians of the Arcanist's guild which instilled within her a passion for tomes and lore and the arcane arts. She dedicated her childhood to learning and later to summoning. Seventh Umbral Era Adulthood Following the devastating impact of the Calamity, Keziah found herself alone as the aging Blanwyda had been killed in Bahamut's fiery barrage on Limsa Lominsa. She found herself desperate to branch out and see more of the world, seeking out the other major city states to learn what she could, including other modes of combat. She spent equal time in Gridania and Ul'dah before venturing into Coerthas and Ishgard despite the uneasiness she felt in the cold stone city. Her time was far briefer in the stone fortress among her own race though she stuck close by in the budding Idyllshire and it's veritable wellspring of aetheric activity and Sharlayan knowledge just waiting to be uncovered. In Recent Times As wars have broken out and ended in far distant Othard and the much closer Gyr Abania, Keziah's attentions have been drawn to these now accessible regions. Falling in love with the foreign culture and beauty of Othard, she purchased a small home in the Shirogane district in which she conducts much of her research and relaxation. She took up tome and scroll restoration as a way to support herself, planning to translate as many tomes as possible to and from Hingashi to common Eorzean to help spread knowledge and understanding across the world. That's not to say she stays cloistered in her home with her nose in a book! She still ventures to all accessible regions of the world, "to keep the mind fresh and open," she claims. While traveling, she works as a freelance healer or sellsword to support herself, though she only takes small and simple jobs that don't conflict with her personal morals (and doesn't outreach her meager abilities). Recently, she's come under the employment of a Doman nobleman ousted from his home who seeks skilled fighters and others with talents like hers to help win back his family home.

RP Hooks While the below is by no means comprehensive, it's a kind of spring board for walk-up RP. Longer plots that are meant to run for more than a few quick RP's, please feel free to send me a tell so we can work out a good reason for our characters to get to know one another. I'm always looking for RP, unless I'm actively spamming PvE content. ■ She spends a large amount of time in the taverns around the world, typically The Quicksand or The Drowning Wench and the others to lesser extent. While there, she's usually standing/sitting off to the side with her tome and just listening and observing the room. ■ Often, while sitting idly in public, she will draw her deck of astrologian's cards and study them. She 'might' perform a reading if asked. ■ Her ruby carbuncle is often at her side. It is a usually well-mannered creature, though it has been known to cause mischief especially in the presence of other carbuncles. It loves to be doted upon and often acts like an odd mix of cat and dog, rendering it's reactions hard to predict at times. It has been known to nip at strangers it feels are untrustworthy. ■ When out in the field, her chocobo as always at her side. He is far less trusting of strangers, particularly men, and will likely fluff and cause a fuss if anyone draws too near his mistress. ■ Being a descendant of two well known Ishgardian families, one noble and one less so, she does strike an uncanny resemblance to a few current Ishgardian residents. She chalks this up to coincidence and a possible long past convergence of their lineages.
