When he was about the age of seven, a mysterious Katana wielding man came into his village and talked to the young Miqo'te. After convincing him of his truthful and honest intentions, he sent the boy to bed, proceeding to murder every-other member of the tribe. Upon awakening, A'kexi was devastated to see what had happened to his family, his loved ones. The swordsman took him into his arms, promising that he would watch over him, unaware that the man that held him was the one who killed his family. The swordsman would give him his new name: Ongaku Koibito, and train him in his specialty of sword-fighting, Iaijutsu, the art of drawing the blade from the sheathe, attacking a few times with a devastating assault, then sheathing the blade once more. He showed a natural aptitude towards the ways of the blade, and at one point in time figured a way to expel certain magicks from the blade, though this is extremely taxing on him. As the years passed by, Ongaku slowly realized the truth of what happened that night when his clan was murdered. Taking action into his own hands, he killed his teacher using the same techniques that he had taught him, taking the swordsman expertly crafted blade and never to think back on him ever again. However, all those years studying under him and taken its toll. His teacher would often encourage him to drink, turning his like of drink from 'enjoyable' to addiction. Also, he no longer knew what it meant to have a home, as he and his teacher would constantly be on the move, going from place to place in the flick of a wrist. With these problems constraining his options at permanent work, he turned to an option that his teacher would speak of frequently. He found himself taking contracts; assassinations and bounty-hunting being the most common. He made a name for himself in the black market as "the codeless pirate". Pregnant aristocrats, peasant children, widowed miners, if anyone brought him the right coin, any target would be dead eventually. Slowly but surely, he climbed his way up into the realm of the notorious, placing fear into the hearts of the targets and contractors alike. Due to this, he would receive the best contracts available, always getting somewhat of a bonus as no one really knew what his standards of payment was. However, this also caused some needs for concern. The other assassins and hunters would become enraged with him as he was hogging all the good contracts and taking in the smaller ones before they could accept them. He would kill anyone who came after him, of course, but it was extremely inconvenient for his contacts to have to worry about a killer coming after them out of spite. Once he saved up enough, he would hire the best personal ship one could buy, heading towards a new coast and a fresh market for getting scores. He would repeat this action on a regular basis, only moving whenever he could no longer take contracts from the local market. Along with changing his clothes every time he reaches a new land, he would also change the sheath of his blade to better hide himself among the crowds. His present whereabouts are currently unknown, though there have been many rumors of people seeing him in Ul’dah and Limsa. While few to no people actually know what he looks like, the description of a half dead, drunken samurai is a hard one to misplace. Description A six foot two Miqo'te Male with long, black hair that was tied at the end to keep from swaying so much. His former teacher regularly dyed parts of his hair purple, a habit he keeps to this day. He has dark, deep bags under his eyes from his severe insomnia, constantly looking as though he is on the verge of passing out. His skin is a pale white, caused from his tendencies to not wander around outside for long periods of time. He has a scar on his right eye and left cheek from past exchanges of steel, and his eyes are a dark amber. Clothing: Usually a leather-lined chest-piece with cloth pants, gloves, and leather shoes. Due to his severe insomnia and heavy drinking, he always has an air of dullness surrounding him. Some have described it as being as though he was talking while dead, rarely showing signs of enthusiasm or any deep-rooted emotion. However, this changes when drinking. As he drinks he slowly becomes more and more 'alive', getting more talkative and sociable; the highest point of this change in appearance being the tipping point between tipsy and drunk.
