The tech expert and resident goblin Farshox spotted a fireball in the night sky, quickly she grabbed her far-seers and aimed them at the fireball. The fireball was some kind of airship and she quickly gathered up her companions, the leader and former bard Ginzan Makio, the towering grey-skinned muscle Tholek, and the former shinobi turned thief "Althaea", to go explore the crashing airship for salvage. A few suns of travel led the team to the wreck and the began searching it for salvage and survivors. Deep within the wreckage of the only now apparently large craft Farshox discovered a capsule that was being blasted by levin energy from a nearby broken power conduit. She caught of glimpse of what was in the capsule, a baby miqo'te! The goblin, though panicked, rushed to the aide of the baby by diverting the energy long enough for her to make a rescue. Farshox noticed that upon holding the child she was getting zapped making it exceedingly difficult to hold her and even harder for Makio to tend to her injuries. Farshox made a quick and dirty way of grounding the girl which finally allowed him to use his magic to heal her. With the baby now safe, they took to salvaging before returning to Idyllshire. Farshox carried the girl all the way home and would then adopt her. It wasn't until she began regularly talking that her mother gave her the name Sparktox since she always seemed to speak so quickly. Her middle name, Karaoke, came from her love of singing with her uncle. As she grew up she learned everything she could from her family and the people of the growing city. Her and her mother would continue to improve the devices that helped keep the levin energy within her in control, these eventually evolved into Kara's various gloves she is often seen wearing. When she reached fifteen summers in age she gained a wanderlust. She brought it up to her mother how said that it might be time for her to go see the world. It pained her to suggest her daughter leave but she knew that her and the other members of Fantastic Finds had taught her more than enough skills to survive on her own. On her nameday her family each gave her gifts for her journey: From her mother a Mammet named Scry to help her and a red-feathered chocobo Beau to be her travel companion. From Makio a violin and a flashy outfit so she could perform while she traveled to earn money. From Althaea a pair of wakizashi, a work knife, and a set of throwing daggers. And finally from Tholek a pair of homemade walking boots and a large sack of gil. And with these Kara set off to explore the world! Eventually after two years of adventures and traveling arriving in Ul'dah after a letter from her Uncle Makio suggested seeking employment with a group of adventures he'd heard of in the area. Kara would join the ranks of Curious Commodities as their Artificer and tech expert.
