Given name: K'aworu Rhea; Willingly changed surname to "Demiir" after meeting his sister and wanting to be part of "her" family.

Pronunciation: [ka-woh-ru]　- Sounds similar to Japanese "Kaoru".

Age: 17, physically. However, by 1577 (ARR) he is 22, as a result of the time warp.

Religion/philosophy: Follower of the Twelve with emphasis on Nymeia. Even with the recent (Dalamud, etc.) events, his belief in her is that she has woven everyone's fate and that whatever happens, is meant to happen. Not that he hasn't prayed for their safety.

Abilities

• Conjurer (White Mage) - Since the beginning of his ARR-oriented travels, he has learned a great deal regarding his conjury. His healing has improved by significant lengths, but he still has quite a way to go. He seems a little trigger happy with using Protect, however.

• Archer - His primary form of hunting. He is okay at it, but could use significant improvement (likely from his poor eyesight).

• Communication with Elementals - In his younger years, he'd begun hearing voices. Whispers in the woods, as if the plants were communicating to him directly. He still does not know what to do with this ability. He listens, but often times does not let others onto this ability, for fear of being outcasted. He often uses this to ask the elementals/spirits for their permission before he hunts for food, or picks/gathers and plantlife.

• Resourceful - Living in the forests for his life, he's become quite good at hunting for food, gathering/hunting for specific plants. He knows Gridania like the back of his hand (1.0). [In 2.0, not so much. And this makes him cry inside.]

• Acrobatic - Not in a dancing sense at all, but is extremely flexible simply from learning to adapt in the wild. Alongside this, he is an excellent climber.

Appearance

Height: 5'1"

Weight: 100lbs (Estimated)

Body: On the thinner side. Seems to have very slight muscle tone from life in the woods, but a closer inspection of him might suggest slight malnourishment. Strangely, even after being found and supposedly eating correctly, he still seems to maintain an almost permanently unhealthy look.

Hair: A very light, silvery blonde. If let down, it would be long, shaggy, and have a slight wave/curl. It is also not cut symmetrically. His hair on (his) right side is longer than the left. He usually braids the longer part. Length of braid is down to his rear-end. (IG appearance differs. As stated below, the artwork of him is most accurate. Please don't forget his braid!)

Eyes: Heterochromatic. Right eye is a golden/hazel, while his left is a bright blue.

Skin: Sunkissed. Probably fair, normally, but time living in the sunlight has given him a bit of a tan. Seems to have dark, reddish bags beneath his eyes.

Scars/Markings: Has various, smaller scars on his body. Likely from just living in the wilderness. Nothing special. The only real noticeable one is on his left cheek.

• ARR: Significant scarring across his neck. Also has the "legacy mark" on his back.

Clothes: Nowadays he seems to be wearing appropriately fitting clothing...for the most part. He, for some reason, has taken on a scavenger-like demeanor and has been looting clothing that has been otherwise abandoned in some way.

Voice: A lighter, kind of feminine touch to his voice. [ Megumi Ogata ]

Important Note: His age and appearance in my artwork is most accurate. He is young and, for all points and purposes, girly. However, IG, the character models make him look like 10 years older and super buff. This is definitely not the case. Please keep this in mind!

• Because I can't seem to draw him exactly how I envision him yet, I would like to note that his facial structure/appearance is very similar to that of Hope Estheim from FFXIII. Nothing else. Just his face.

Personality

Generally soft spoken- that is, if he even talks to you. He's lead a very sheltered life with limited contact to the outside world. He isn't necessarily stupid or uneducated, which would mean whomever his caretaker was, was obviously well informed. He's curious to boot, often wanders aimlessly, and does try to put his skills to good, helpful use. Once he's determined you're not a threat, he may become a bit more clingy towards you. He tends to have a lot of double-standards when it comes to this sort of thing. He doesn't really approve of you being in his personal bubble, but he sometimes is going to be all up in yours, around the corner, and up the street. Just flick him on the nose or something. Aside from this, he seems to be harboring secrets of his own.

He doesn't have the strongest personality and often times is afraid to speak up for himself. He caves somewhat easily under pressure and is so terrified of strangers that he tends to try to hide. Especially in cabinets or under the bed. More often than not, his ears are drooping and his tail is between his legs. Sort of a melancholic fellow who seems to actually have a very, very low opinion of himself.

The more people have met him, the more confused they seem to get. At times, he speaks a little frantic and, for lack of a better word, loopy. However, when it comes to certain topics (as well as generally just one-on-one conversations with more trusted individuals), he seems well versed, charismatic, and very intelligent. In large groups of strangers, he tends to completely shut down and (if she is present) remain glued to his sister's hip. This leaves a lot of individuals with varying and confused opinions on him. Some aren't sure if he's smart, stupid, or perhaps just a little off his rocker.

Behaviours:

• Tends to completely shut down (mentally) around large groups of strangers.
• Tends to just stare off into space/thought. (This can sometimes be attributed to echo/elemental related communications)
• Can be childish, at times, in both positive and negative ways.
• His behavior becomes rather curious when you mess with his ears.
• He has a strange habit of hiding in cabinets (or similar structures), and sleeping under beds instead of on them.

Alignment: True Neutral with the potential to go either way, really.

History

1555 (Birth):A simple life! A sheltered life. K'aworu was born an illegitimate child, his father leaving his mother before he was even born. He knows his name, but has never cared to venture outside of his home to make contact. K'aworu was born in, and lived with his reclusive mother, the forests surrounding Gridania. Because of her so-called situation, his mother deemed the world an unsafe, unyielding world that would simply destroy him (Granted, Dalamud probably didn't help disproving this). Because of this, his trust is incredibly hard to earn. Other people (even other Miq'ote) make him a bit paranoid and skittish, but he generally remains, outwardly, as calm as he can. Despite his lack of a social life, he seems to be fairly well educated- likely because of his mother and other texts for reading. Still, there is room for improvement, and he seems more than eager to learn.

Reluctantly, K'aworu found himself entering Gridania, slowly proceeding to the Fane, wanting to inquire about Conjury, as encouraged by...well, he won't say! Still, his inquiry and somewhat vague explanation still got him a mentorship in the Fane. Especially once he'd confessed about the Elementals that he could hear. Being part of this guild has given him a slightly higher tolerance of social situations and interaction with others, but it is still a work in progress. He is still a "new student," and remains in the lower ranks.

1572 (Dalamud): Simple story, really. A group of conjurer's- high grade and low- were sent to the battle site to aid the adventurers that would be taking this battle underway, K'aworu included. Though he gained a battle wound through his valiant efforts, K'aworu was one of those to be transported into the time rift. He'll probably need medical attention once he's out. Ironically enough.

1577 (ARR): Upon tumbling out of the time rift, K'aworu was fortunate enough to be found by Gerik Aston, who tended to him well enough until they could reach the Fane in Gridania. For now, he lays in recovery there with Gerik as his only visitor. It would seem that the wounds to his neck left heavy scarring and has left him temporarily mute. He is left to communicate using only writing, flailing, or perhaps throwing a rock at you.

After meeting a suave (and somewhat terrifying) poet, K'aworu came to learn that all of these years he had a sister! And that his mother was apparently one hell of a loony liar. While this has been quite the hard pill to swallow, K'aworu has kept silent about it at least. The closer he got to Aysun (and the more he came to hate his upbringing), he chose to abandon his surname in favor of taking on his sister's, in the hopes of strengthening their bond.

Spending practically day and night together, K'aworu's attachment (and lack of being able to function well on his own around others) became obvious when Aysun temporarily removed herself from communication with the rest of the planet. Thankfully, it was short-lived and she returned to him, though not likely before a bit of a mental breakdown in the woods.

Shortly after, Aysun seemed to have found work of some sort. He hasn't asked questions and instead has been giving her her space (out of fear of bothering her). In the meantime, he stumbled upon the untimely corpse of a Twin Adder member and looted the grimoire they possessed, thinking it was a book of general research, only to find that it was a weapon used in the arcanist arts.

Recent events had him meeting an individual by the name of Kylin Felstar. Despite numerous warnings from his sister and others, K'aworu couldn't help but admire and eventually develop feelings for the Hyur, claiming they were similar in soul. Eventually it came out that Kylin was using him for personal gain, and abusing K'aworu's feelings. Now he is safely cut off from the man, but has been left understandably broken hearted. In the meantime, he has been appointed (temporarily) the primary doctor/healer of Crystalline's clinic in Summerford during Shiro's absence. Though he travels often, he keeps his pearl close and is ready to teleport by aether quickly should a patient need his aid.

Aysun Demiir - Half sister! He seems to have an extreme attachment to her, possibly to an unhealthy degree.

• Aatrix Makar - First person met when joining the Fane. He helped K'aworu get situated and settled with a mentor. Though he is not outwardly affectionate about it, K'aworu looks up to Aatrix, whether the Elezen is aware of it or not.
• Gerik Aston - A new friend made when he felt out of the time rift. Gerik took care of his wounds and helped get him to the Fane so that he may recover. K'aworu seems to be comfortable around him.
• Manari Onai - Met in the Crystalline reunion. She seemed very friendly towards him and he doesn't know how to deal with this.
• Eva Ianeira - Also met in Crystalline through Aysun. She has a very endearing motherly quality to her. Though he has only just met her, he seems to trust her.
• Selene Artemis - The terrifying amazon woman. Who is terrifying. Whenever they meet she seems to be glaring at him. It is a glare in which he can feel his soul crumble into fear and terror.
• Fenix Darkblaze - Claims to hate him on the basis that he believes Fenix will take Aysun away from him, but despite these words, he always seems eager to share his feelings and problems with the Highlander.
• Kylin Felstar - His first love! It didn't go well. Not at aaaall.
• Dietrich Dracht - A new friend met in the Quicksand. He's extremely excited about his new book buddy and eagerly awaits their next meeting.
