General Information Nao Nakagawa is the sole daughter of Tadakatsu Nakagawa, head of the Nakagawa Clan. From an early age she learnt the usual things a lady should: Tea making, Flower arranging. However, she found most at home with Naginata in hand. Personality Psychological Profile Nao’s general disposition is one of friendliness, much preferring to make friends than enemies. Much like Nao’s name is written as ‘Honest’, she inherently expects all people to act as such and often ends up falling for believable lies. Voice Nao’s voice could only be described as ‘mature’. Non-Combat Abilities ● Purify Water: Using her natural water affinity, Nao can purify unclean water making it suitable for drinking. Nao can also use this ability to turn alcohol into water. ● Soft Shower: By creating a hydroball and throwing it upwards, Nao can create a small localised rain shower for a short duration. Combat Abilities ● Mizukiri: Nao’s own signature technique and the reason for her title. Nao’s blade becomes sheathed in a small torrent of high pressured water infusing her strikes with the element. Nao has moderate control over the water and can fire it forward extending the range of her attacks. ● Tonbokiri: An ability used by her father; Translated roughly as Dragonfly Cutter, this ability is an air aspected enhancement. Nao focuses air aether around the edge of her weapon forming a cutting wind increasing the cutting power of the blade drastically. ● Honōnoken: The hardest to sustain out of all of Nao’s elemental enchantments. Her weapon bursts to life with vibrant flames causing the weapon to hit with a fire element. Though due to the fact Nao has no control over what is or isn’t flammable she rarely uses it. History . Disclaimer: . Sixth Astral Era Childhood Nao was born into the Nakagawa clan of Hingashi. Nao’s childhood consisted of learning the ways of a lady though due to her family’s notoriety for producing samurai, it was only natural that she became an Onna-bushi. Most of her time was dedicated to practicing with the naginata, a weapon used by her mother.. Seventh Umbral Era Adulthood Most of Nao’s recent years are widely unknown about. She gave no reason why she left Hingashi, though one could only assume it is to see the world some before she is rooted in place. Nao travelled far and wide towards Eorzea using her skills to hire herself out as a sellsword along the way.. In Recent Times Moving Forward Most recently Nao has found herself under the employ of a former Dragoon who seems avidly interested in the young Onna-Bushi’s way of fighting. For Nao this is seen as just another job, though she secretly wishes she could serve a noble of her own nationality.
