General Information Chand’a Lhani is a dealer at the Platinum Mirage, carpenter, and former busker, most commonly seen in the city of Ul’dah. He tends to keep to himself and does not often linger in conversation or crowds, but can sometimes be seen along the Sapphire Avenue Exchange selling intricately carved wooden trinkets of no practical value. If spotted in the Goblet he is almost certainly involved in obsessive lawn maintenance. ❝ We need to bury it. ❞ Appearance Eyes Hair Skin Build Voice Pale Orange. Mauve purple. Occasionally dyed black. Dark olive. Wiry. Raspy. Bearing Laterality Scars Markings Style Cool indifference. Ambidextrous. Blade and bullet. Freckled. Functional, eclectic. Hair & Eyes Mid-length hair, neatly kept. Feathers or beads are often found braided in. Pale orange eyes that seem quick to shift away when met. Simple makeup when working in the Mirage, rarely otherwise. Physique & Markings A wiry build, slender but strong. Freckled. Extensive blade scarring over his belly and sides. Bullet scars over his collarbone and along inner right thigh. Blade scar over his brow. Hygiene & Attire Usually seen in practical, well-cared for clothes. He seems primarily concerned with comfort, but clearly has a practiced eye for fashion between the artful drape of fabric here and the glimmer of tasteful jewelry there. His personal hygiene borders on excessive, often retreating to bathe more than once a day. The Keeper is strongly averse to the idea of being seen out of sorts or sullied, yet when the job requires a mess he seems outwardly unbothered by whatever filthy veneer he comes out the other side with. Which is, of course, what he wishes one to see and not the internal profanity-laden meltdown that continues without end until he finds a bath to throw himself into. His home is similarly meticulously cared for - the yard, especially. To venture into the grass without first removing one's shoes is surely to court death. Personality General An aloof miqo'te who seems to always have somewhere to be, engaging in a more leisurely pace only when accompanied by a particular Seeker and mammet. He is brusquely direct in conversation and action, uninterested in wasting time with social niceties unless he's either on the clock or harboring ulterior motives. To those who have managed to chip through some of his iciness, he is generally helpful and reliable for so long as he deems the relationship mutually respectful and compatible with his often exacting specifications. His neighbors, as it so happens, do not meet these specifications and he can be found making loud complaints near the property lines whenever the second bottle of wine starts looking like a third will be in order shortly. His sense of humor, which does exist despite all evidence to the contrary, is buried neatly behind the last man who dared tread on his lavender blossoms. Voice His voice is low and raspy, sometimes coming out in no more than a mumble. Drunkenness only seems to intensify this mumbling, though not often seen in public. Philosophy & Mannerisms Engages most people from a distance, navigating social relationships very gingerly. His tail snaps endlessly to and fro, a barometer of his often sour moods. Novice: A thaumaturgist tried to tutor him once. It was a bad time for everyone. Weapon Training Mastery: Long bows, crossbows, pistols, rifles. Expert: Recurve bows, daggers, hand to hand combat. Average: Staffs, lances, short swords. Novice: Axes, maces. Combat Relevant Skills High: Reflexes. Above Average: Speed. Average: Strength. Low: Little to no aetheric ability. Non-Combat Abilities ● Scouting: Quick and silent through both city streets and the wilds, Chand'a has occasionally lent his services to various causes for coin. Combat Abilities ● Marksmanship: Mastery of ranged weapons often has him behind the front lines firing from within the shadows of a suitable vantage point. ● Acrobatics: Necessitated by the often close-quarters of conflicts in the streets and alleys of Ul'dah, Chand'a displays remarkable ability using his surroundings to his advantage. It is not unusual to see him parkouring his way to victory or retreat. OOC Note I prefer freeform combat, but also rely on dice in situations where both characters seem more evenly matched and it's requested. I've no problem with Chand'a getting his ass kicked (and often) so long as there's no blatant god-moding that wasn't agreed upon beforehand.

History Sixth Astral Era Childhood When he arrived in Ul'dah at the age of sixteen he earned his coin through menial work and sideline entertainment at the bloodsands. Seventh Umbral Era Adulthood Several years after the Calamity he turned up in Ul'dah again working as a busker in a common dancing troupe. After a disappearance two years ago, he returned over a year later with less of a smile and no further apparent inclinations to perform. He earned most of his money through trinkets and furniture which he crafted, though also maintained fairly steady courier work. In Recent Times Moving Forward Chand'a has been seen in the company of a Seeker and a tiny mammet for over a year now. Both seem to live with him at his home in the Goblet, forming a strange but affectionate family. He runs a dual carpentry and mammetry business out of his Goblet property, but still deals at the Platinum Mirage. He doesn't seem to pursue courier work these days, and he hasn't returned to performance. The rough edges of his personality have also blunted here and there, leaving his steps easier. His tail, however, remains extraordinarily twitchy.

File:Gremio.png ♥ Shoo Mammet A mammet named Shoo originally created by E'bhin Tia to help Chand'a with gardening work and, more importantly, replace the shishi-odoshi to keep pests away. Chand'a, since acquiring the mammet, has done nothing but spoil the tiny automaton. His home is filled with dozens of additions for the mammet's comfort - stairs, ladders, an elevator, and a mammet-sized apartment next to the Keeper's bed. The mammet's wardrobe has also become a fearsome thing to behold over the last year, dwarfing perhaps even the Keeper's own. Chand'a and E'bhin include Shoo in nearly all their activities, doting on him like the clockwork son he has become to the pair. Shoo himself is well-mannered and thoughtful, but with a mischievous streak he's no doubt 'inherited' from his Keeper father. Intensely protective of the mammet, Chand'a will not hesitate to confront anyone who approaches the automaton - or even stares just a bit too long at him.
