PC Nergui Kahkolmod ( ♥ ♦ ● ) ( PC ) - First Friend and Teacher Kiht first met Nergui is a small dark alley in Ul'dah. He quickly became concerned for her welfare and set her up in an inn room at The Hourglass and would become her teacher, starting with learning Eorzean as well as reading and writing. Though he could be a bit gruff at times, she was very fond of him and enjoyed agitating him at times with jokes or difficult questions and topics. In the aftermath of a misunderstanding and hurt feelings, Kiht has chosen to avoid him for the time being. Serina Couteau ( ♦ ● ) ( PC ) - Rina and Friend of Nergui Meeting Rina through Nergui, Kiht was slightly shy of the woman. In a short time, she has come to enjoy Rina's company, especially since the woman is quite experienced in giving amazing ear rubs. Kiht may look up to her as a strong female figure in her life but understands their lives and strengths are different. Leilani Makina ( ♥ ● ) ( PC ) - Mama Lani Leilani came into Kiht's life quite like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. The Seeker woman's enthusiasm and kindness towards her was unexpected but gladly received, filling the void left by the abandonment of Kiht's blood family and then some. Kiht believes that Leilani and her partner Jonathan are the best parents she could ask for and wants to do her best to be the best daughter, becoming strong and spirited just like them. Jonathan Jolland ( ♥ ● ) ( PC ) - Papa Jo Meeting Jonathan at the Lovely Ghosts residence, she kept him company while he waited for his partner, Leilani, to arrive. Though he seemed the quiet and serious type, she was happy to just spend a few moments with him and she was surprised to find out that he had previously worked at Koko's bookstore as well. Kiht thinks Jonathan and Leilani are the ideal parents for her and that they will help to strengthen her heart and spirit for any trials she faces in the future. Birth and Life in the Tribe The youngest daughter to Dahra of the Akhi, Kiht was quite small and sickly at first but as she grew older, she developed almost as strong as any young Miqo'te. As she was the second and last daughter, she was only trained in minimal combat before being ushered into learning an alternative trade as her sister. Dahra was the tribal mortician and healer and would train her daughter to take her place in the event of her own death. Kiht enjoyed her training and eventual initiation into an adept mortician. Taking her vows as she turned sixteen, she believed there would be nothing more she need concern herself with beyond her work and friendship. As always, that is not how things were to be. At first receiving a few 'innocent' flirts and such from her sister's mate while still young, Kiht thought little of Sabhi'a's advances, thinking it only familial affection. A little while before taking her vows, he became more insistent and she would soon learn what it would mean to refuse a cruel man. Because of his relationship with her sister, she did not tell her mother or sister or anyone, suffering his advances and avoiding them as best she could. She would spend more and more time far away from the tribe to avoid him, practising her potion making or exploring. A few years after her vows, Sabhi'a found her alone in the woods and would try to force her to break one of her vows. Fortunately for Kiht, she managed to slip away by luck and the quick slash of a ritual dagger. As a result of her escape from him and the wound to his chest and pride, he would go to the matriarch and falsely claim Kiht had been practising void magic and had attacked him when he discovered her doing so. Due to her frequent and long visits to the woods and her refusal to reveal Sabhi'a's actions, judgement was not favourable to Kiht. Punishment was swift to be decided, she would be bound to a tree within the deepest and most dangerous part of the woods and left there, naked and defenceless. Only a day or so afterwards, her fate seemed to have other ideas as she was found by a lost bandit. Sabhi'a would make his appearance as well, eager to claim the prize for his wickedness, and in the conflict that ensued, Kiht would flee the deepwoods, and the Twelveswoods. Traveling alone On her own and with little on hand, Kiht would start her long trek south, unknowingly towards Ul'dah. It would be tough going but stealing a few things here and there from farms or settlements, she would be able to make the journey more comfortably. Soon after arriving in Ul'dah, she was found by Nergui Kahkolmod who would take her under his wing and help her adjust to her new life in Ul'dah. Recent events Settling into life in Eorzea slowly, Kiht is becoming quite skilled with magic. To her surprise and delight, she has been taken in by a friendly and generous Miqo'te couple who wish nothing but the best for her.
