Ordinarily, she keeps her long black hair tied back out of the way in a messy bun or a loose side braid, but prefers to let it fall freely anytime she is alone. Physique & Markings What she lacks in stature, she makes up for in agility and her keen eye for marksmanship. Vhena was taught archery from a young age and has thus developed more muscle in her arms and shoulders primarily as she has matured. Given her past service as a Bard of the Twin Adder, she does have some few battle scars, however she prefers to keep them covered and few have gotten a good look at them. Hygiene & Attire Vhena maintains a well-kept appearance as much as she can, but isnt afraid to get dirty if the occasion calls for it. Warm baths are her preferred way to unwind after a long day, and she will stay in and soak for as long as she possibly can. She prefers rich darker colors as of late, and can usually be seen wearing a loose long sleeve blouse and more form-fitting bottoms. Personality Psychological Profile Vhena has a natural tendency to be very loving and nurturing like her own mother was, however trauma in her life has made her more reserved and slower to form lasting bonds with the people she comes in contact with. As a bard, her love of stories and entertaining the common folk is a large part of her life- but after fighting in two wars and nearly loosing her entire family, Vhena cares for two things over all else: her remaining family, and the power to protect them. She is absolutely terrified of the though of loosing anyone else and it can push her into an almost feral state if that fear is given substance. Voice Charlee Brooks Philosophy & Mannerisms Having grown up witnessing the injustices in Ishgard, she has little faith in the "proper" authorities to do what they are sworn to. Vhena believes that Halone does not directly intervene in the matters of men like most are led to believe, but instead empowers her chosen to act in her stead. The combination of these two beliefs often leads her to take justice into her own hands as a voice of the people- consequences be damned. Vhena has never been able to fully shake her formal upbringing, and it often shows in how she carries herself during her daily activities. She is wont to ignore everything else around her when presented with a good story; whether it be spoken or written. Though she hides it as best as she can, bright flashes of light and sudden loud noises still cause her to flinch away or stiffen harshly. Disclaimer: This section is a wip and will be edited frequently. Sixth Astral Era Childhood Firstborn to the head of a lesser Ishgardian house, Vhena stood to inherit her family’s livestock business and was taught her responsibilities from a very young age. Unlike her younger brother, Vhena’s childhood was filled with musty books and cramped desks as private tutor after private tutor drilled the basics of business, mathematics, and beastkin into her head until there was hardly room for much else. She had always been a well behaved and obedient child, but as Vhena grew, so did her father’s lofty expectations for her and by the time she reached her seventeenth summer, the only things she could take true joy from were her weekly archery lessons and the quiet afternoons spent outside tending the sheep with Nael. But Vhena could not continue under such pressure forever, and her ability to stand tall for the sake of duty would soon falter. It was the Autumn of her seventeenth year, just before she came of age, when her world came crashing down around her.
