Typical Attire: Almost always wearing armor outside of his home when not at a social engagement or some place where armor would not be appropriate. When not wearing armor, Lan prefers formal attire even when lounging around at home. Armor: Far too expensive for a typical Convictor seeking glory and elevation to nobility through heroic deeds, Lan's armor bears many of the features that are typical for one that routinely faces dragons in the frigid north. A blend more traditional heavy plate and Dragoon-style mail, Lan's armor is surprisingly flexible without sacrificing defense or durability. It can be adapted for cold or hot climates with minimal effort or adjustment necessary. Weapons: Though he has a strong preference for the greatsword, Lan is very comfortable with a lance. He has a wide array of greatswords at his disposal, each designed with a specific purpose in mind. The weapon he carries most often is a standard weapon bearing no runes or aetheric properties at all. Cool and somewhat withdrawn, Lan is proficient in the art of keeping people at arm's length. A gentleman until it's time to no longer be a gentleman, he leans on the side of being polite and respectful within the boundaries of his own rather serious nature. He has very little patience for nonsense or over-the-top silliness and will go out of his way to avoid people that behave in such a way. He never forgave himself for the pox he brought down on his family name, living out the remainder of his years with distant cousins. Igrine Triluveux ( ♥ ✖ ) ( NPC ) - Mother Igrine became very ill in the weeks following the fall of her house. She watched her husband's gambling addiction tear down everything they'd built together brick by brick and was powerless to stop the inevitable destruction. It is officially believed that Igrine died of a lung illness, but Lan always suspected that she'd simply given up. Family and Friends (continued) Aulviene Triluveux ( ♥ ♥ ● ) ( NPC ) - Ex-Wife An arranged marriage that held a considerable amount of potential. Neither partner seemed terribly eager for children and were content to spend the first few years growing together before adding any children to the mix. When it became clear that his family was headed for ruin, Lan divorced Aulviene to prevent her from being caught up in the backlash. He still cares for her a great deal, but is pleased that she's moved on and re-married.
