Basic Information

Rhuya Lanbatal is a female Miqo'te Keeper of the Moon, a self-proclaimed Seeker of Truths and servant to her lady The Keeper. In essence she is a scholar that seeks out lore and legends pertaining to her guardian - Menphina, the Lover.

Features:	Several scars are visible on her face, most notibly across her nose and left eye. Her left cheek bears a butterfly tattoo (a symbol of her marriage). Her body hides many marks and other secrets that are perhaps signs of a past life.
Clothing Style:	Rhuya is generally seen in long flowing skirts made of the finest fabrics, though practicality may sometimes dictate otherwise. She prefers black and/or white clothing as opposed to bright colours.

Personality

Rhuya exudes a strong and confident lady-like demeanour.

Subject to years of torment and abuse, she has a dark and twisted side that few get to see and that she keeps hidden behind her lady-like persona. Maintaining this persona is paramount to her. At times she has a somewhat mixed-up moral-code though in general she follows a respectable path. Due to her background, Rhuya is fiercely defensive of those she loves.

Rhuya's Grandmother, who is spoken fondly of by Rhuya. Elhza is a woman she looks up to and is the only member of Rhuya's family she has any kind words for. Rhuya has chosen to name one of their daughters after her.

Kiht Lanbatal (formerly Nbolo) (Miqo'te / Keeper of the Moon ♀) ♥♥●
Rhuya's wife and love. They met in Ul'dah shortly after Rhuya first arrived in the city. Rhuya spotted the girl, and in her usual way, insisted Kiht help her search for some old books she was seeking. The pair soon formed a strong and initially unspoken bond. Since then, their relationship has blossomed and they eventually married at the Sanctuary of the Twelve, under The Keeper's watchful eye. Kiht is now pregnant and they're expecting twin daughters.

Febriel De'drine (Miqo'te / Seeker of the Sun ♀) ●
A friendly and good natured young Miqo'te, and lover of all things pink, who is usually seen in the company of Mimiko Miyuki. Febriel is a good friend of the Lanbatals, and while not a frequent visitor, her company is always welcomed.

Mimiko Miyuki (Miqo'te / Seeker of the Sun ♀) ●
An outgoing and excitable young Miqo'te, usually seen in the company of Febriel De'drine.

Aiko Sachi (Miqo'te / Seeker of the Sun ♀) ●
A long time friend of Rhuya's, whom she seldom sees now, but used to spend many a day chatting with, while watching her fish.

Friederike Visconti (Miqo'te / Seeker of the Sun ♀) ♥♥●
Rhuya's closest and dearest friend. The pair soon gained an unbreakable bond of love and friendship, and since leaving The Laughing Lady Friederike has moved in with Rhuya and Kiht. The three of them now share a special relationship and living arrangement.

Doctor Mew (Miqo'te / Seeker of the Sun ♀) ♥●
Rhuya finds a certain vulnerability in this young Miqo'te appealing and has allowed Mew to share several intimate moments with herself and her girls.

Skratti Bowens (Miqo'te / Keeper of the Moon ♀) ●
A somewhat intriguing girl who shares a common love of books. Rhuya considers Skratti a friend and enjoys their occasional discussions, but cannot help taunting the poor girl when the opportunity arises.

Rhuya considers this Hyur a cheat and an altogether untrustworthy woman.

Dark Beginnings

Rhuya was the second daughter of a lowly noble family that hit hard times and sold her into slavery to save the family estate. She was subject to years of torment and abuse by her owners and put to work in ways a lady should not be made to work. Through some miracle, and what she claims as guidance from The Keeper, she managed to escape and regain her freedom, thus gaining her love of poisons and her unwavering devotion to The Keeper.

The years following her captivity involved her surviving by any means she could, until she eventually found her way home, back to her family's estate. It was here amongst the bodies of her family and farmhands that she finally found a long sought peace. With vengeance sated she left her estate and headed for Gridania.

(Note: Rhuya seldom talks of her past and only someone extremely intimate with her will likely find out the truths of what was done to her during those dark years.)
