Appearance
Hair: Starkly white, with the faintest hint of blue, and voluminous. Her daughter Roysia calls her "Fluffymama" because of it, and Lily's just adopted the natural habit of "fluffing" her hair just from that. Normally, she wears her hair straight and put into place with a headband, but lately she's been letting it fall loosely down her back, letting it be "naturally styled", as she aptly puts it, by the wind and occasional finger-combing.
Eyes: Lilac with slightly darker violet limbals to enhance the otherwise pale color. The outer rings lighten or darken according to her mood at the time. Most of the time her eyes are very vibrant!
Skin/Complexion: For an Auri woman, her light olive face is very clear and almost completely bereft of scales. Were it not for the vine-like markings on her cheeks and the slender, draconic-like patch traveling down her nose bridge, one could easily mistake her for a very short Hyur were it not for the tail or long, almost streamlined aural horns.
Build: She's short for most races but tall for her own, standing it at roughly 5'2". Curvy, a bit overweight due to her penchant for snacking on tarts and sweets. It's easy to see that she could be a mother. Lily does try to keep in shape, however, which is why she jogs or runs everywhere that she can, but she can only take so much before giving in and curling up in bed or in the bath for the day.
Misc: As a doctor, the woman is often seen carrying around the Alkalurops staff, as well as a heavy side-pouch that clinks quite a bit. There are more than likely plenty of poultices and other home remedies and concoctions to serve in a pinch, but who knows what else she has in there?
Personality
Lily is a nagging worrywart of a personality, who seems to be more enthralled in books than in actual conversation sometimes. Still, she isn't without conversational skills altogether--it just takes a bit to get them out of her. Once she gets to talking, however, she's very cheerful and polite, and warm to those she's familiar to. In fact, Lily is at least polite with everyone, including people she doesn't seem to get along with at all! It's her way of at least extending a "Hey, I'm trying not to outright kill you" aura.
Lily's helpful personality extends even to the battlefield. She has a tendency to heal everyone, regardless of friend or foe, after a large-scale battle. No one should suffer to leave a family behind, no matter whose side they're on. This has definitely given her strife from the Maelstrom, but with her standing as one of the main aetherologic researchers, they'd be hard-pressed to court martial her and lose her findings.
The Fireborn Adventurer's Guild
After the events of the Battle of Carteneau and the subsequent five-year amnesia that came with her injuries, she was reunited with then-lover Garen Ashe as the current warring with the beast tribes was in full swing. After careful caretaking and rebuilding of trust, the two found themselves completely in love again--with a little surprise on the way, after the defeat of Ultima at the hands of the Warrior(s) of Light and the Grand Companies.
Fireborn was officially started around the time of Praetorium, but they weren't fully established until Lily dropped the pregnancy bomb. It took plenty of hard work, but eventually, the small guild (at that time, made up of perhaps five members total including the two of them) settled in the Ul'dahn residential district of the Goblet, with a house of their own and plenty of space for legal work and prospective contracts and new company mates.
Nowadays, Fireborn has flourished and grown to encompass many diverse members from all walks of life. If you have their back in battle, it's safe to say they have yours, as well. As a motto of the company goes, "The strongest bonds are often forged in the fires of battle."
Family, friends, and Acquaintances
♥ Garen Ashe: Lily's long-time lover and now husband, as well as the Commander of the Fireborn free company. People often wonder how two people as culturally diverse as these two came to fall in love, have a child, and eventually be married--if you ask them, you'll probably get two different stories! Lily admires Garen's strength but also that, behind all that gruff Highlander exterior, there lies a heart of gold and a sweet tenderness that makes her heart melt. She'll never say that with Garen in earshot, though!
Z'attana Mitnu: Quite possibly one of Lily's best friends inside of Fireborn. The Miqo'te is fiery and brash, and definitely "blows shit up first and ask questions never", but it's that spark that Lily enjoys. She feels Atty brings vibrancy to the guild house, even if she's afraid the Seeker will blow it up eventually.
Altonio Salaphonte: A fellow guildmate, and one Lily regards as a little brother. She frets after him constantly because of his frequent disappearing acts, knowing that he's prone to get in some sort of trouble, even though it's common knowledge he can take care of himself. Secretly, her and Garen have a betting pool going about if he and a certain other guildmate are going to get together, and when.
Giles Wolfsbane: An eccentric Lalafell whom she was proud to call a friend. He unfortunately lost his life at the battle of Vishap on the Steps of Faith, and every day, Lily beats herself up about it; to the relief of most, it's been less and less as of late. She still misses the little guy, and refuses to take a single step into his room for fear of the memories.
Milliardo Blackwing: A fine Maelstrom officer and Warrior, one that Lily called one of her best friends pre-Calamity. She strives to be as good a Lieutenant as he was, and is the dominant cause of why she judges her skills so harshly and holds herself up to extremely high expectations. Currently been on the Maelstrom's MIA list since the Battle of Carteneau.
Curtis Anseldam: A flirtatious Hyuran Bard, one of her best friends alongside Milliardo and Garen. She believes that he was one of the major factors of her and Garen becoming closer. He was commanded to escape with her during the Battle of Carteneau, but the Garlean airship they were on blew up, and they were separated in the blast. Currently MIA since then.
Roysia Ashe: A young Auri claiming to be her daughter--which is odd, considering her Roysia is only a summer old. But she fits the genetic pattern--taller than a normal Au Ra, bears Garen's hair and her eyes, and information about the two that hardly anyone knows. The girl is a mystery, and one Lily is nervous to unravel.
Thiji Higuri: A Lalafell whom Lily came to know through unknown means, but the two seem to be very close friends. His tenacity with his mythril/mythrite empire is contagious, and Lily is often wondering how he has time for anything else. It is also rumored that he is Lily's Arcanist mentor, and the one who taught her how to focus her abilities into healing, rather than hurting, and molded her into a near-career Scholar.
Behind the Scenes (OOC/IC Information)
- Liliana's cooking is notoriously terrible. The Maelstrom got wind of it and uses it as torture for their tougher to break captives.
- A survivor of the Battle of Carteneau, Lily has mildly infrequent bouts of PTSD. The worst thing of hers developed from the fight is thalassophobia, a fear of being on or in the open ocean. She has a slight case of traumatophobia, as well, which is the fear of war or battle--the latter can be easily pushed past, however.
- Lily passes her time with a myriad of different activities--her favorites being reading or caring for literature, and minor stints of leatherworking and carpentry. She can't make anything fanciful of the crafts, but it's something to keep her mind and reflexes sharp.
- She has a notorious sweet tooth, and can often be seen snacking on small things. However, you get between her and an apple tart, or a tray of sweet cakes, and there's gonna be a fight.
