Basic Info
There's something a little shady about Jad - he's definitely got that not-quite-law-abiding-rascal appearance down pretty well. He stands at roughly 5' 6", but he tends to keep his head down and hunch his shoulders a bit, which makes him seem smaller than he really is.
He has messy golden-blond hair that could probably use a trim; the plush fur (golden-blond, just like his hair) on his tail and ears is considerably neater. The color of his eyes is close to that of polished jade.
One could describe him as "restless." He fidgets a lot and can't seem to sit or stand still for long periods of time, and he appears to have a habit of glancing around him as if he's expecting someone to leap out from thin air and confront him. His ears are quite animated - the slightest noise or physical provocation makes them twitch!
His weapons of choice are a longsword that looks vaguely Ishgardian in style and an ordinary round metal shield. The weapon usually resides in a plain leather scabbard at his belt.
A smallblack kitten can usually be found near him. If she is not perched on his shoulders, she is most likely scurrying around at his side.
History
Jadoth (or J'doth, if his never-mentioned and mostly unknown birth name is being used) hails from Little Ala Mhigo. He had a rather odd position in childhood - he was something between an adoptive son and a servant of a Highlander family who had to flee Ala Mhigo when the Garleans invaded.
After the events of the Calamity, Jad wound up with a group of refugees headed to Ul'dah. He didn't really have any means of supporting himself and had to resort to thievery, begging, and running errands for loose change.
Although he is trying to leave his life of petty crime behind him, old habits die hard. He wants to be a hero, but he doesn't know where to begin.
Personality
Curious, energetic, and a bit of a scaredy-cat. He's got big dreams, high hopes, and no idea how he'll ever achieve any of them.
