' H I S T O R Y Jochi was brought into this world on the edges of the harsh and wild Azim Steppe and into the tribe "Kha". Jochi's mother passed away shortly after child birth and to add to the father's grief, his only son was born smaller than most children and sickly, his life expectancy was considerably low, however, contact with outsiders brought medicine that stablized him for quite some time and he was able to grow up fairly healthy. Despite his stable health, sickness still plagued him and prevented or altered his growth as he aged, firstly he did not fully grow to the expected stature of male Auri and remained just slightly taller than female Auri and on top of that he was far more effeminate in appearance, however, that hindered him none. On his fifteen birthday his illness struck back again and made him deathly il and the medicine from traders were simply not enough to stablize him once again. Faced with the impending loss of his son, Jochi's father broke off from the tribe and headed toward Doma in seek of help and help he did find. With the help of well taught healers in Doma, Jochi's sickness was brought to heel, but for the fear that it would return, they remained in Doma. Jochi's father found it difficult to find work he enjoyed, he was a warrior at heart and that ultimately led to his enlistment in the Garlean army, meanwhile Jochi focused on strengthening himself physically and mentally as he hated the thought of being nothing more than a burden on his Father. And, in the steps of his father he pursued Garlean citizenship and joined the army only a year after his father. Whilst in training Jochi showed exceptional skill for more specialized warfare rather than front line combat, thus he was taken under the wing of Florianus Eir Egnatius and underwent a different training regimen. His skill set would soon come to encompass, Espionage, Assassination, multiple melee capablites and many more minor skills. Jochi's basic training lasted for nearly two years before his mentor took his training to the field and allowed Jochi to test and strengthen his skills. He worked directly with his mentor for the next three years and improved upon himself greatly, with his ultimate goal of obtaining Garlean citizenship driving him ever forward.Shortly after his 25th Name day Jochi began working on his own under the supervision of his superior and he traveled from place to place within Garlean territory, his duties ranged from eliminating threats within the empire and doing away with criminal syndicates and rebellious zealots. His success shined nicely on his mentors record and eventually contributed to his accession in rank and with him he brought Jochi. Florianus aided Jochi in becoming an Intelligence Official, which ultimately led to his dream of Garlean citizenship by earning the title "Eir" and becoming "Jochi Eir Kha" while Florianus became "Florianus Goe Egnatius" and remained his superior. For the next few years he continued to work from place to place until he landed back in Doma at the tender age of 28. He returned just as the succession crisis was beginning to take place and the Domans were clearly up to no good. Suddenly there was a short lived rebellion and as the new Emperor took his crown, Doma would be burned to the ground, under the orders of his superior, Jochi took part of the razing. The destruction of Doma brought forth an opportunity and Jochi was approached by Florianus and given new orders. Jochi was now given the poor sob story of a refugee fleeing from Garlean oppression and was subsequently smuggled into Eorzea, eventually landing in Limsa Lominsa where he came in contact with a section of the Garlean spy network which immediately brought him into the ranks of the Maelstrom. They slowly but surely pushed him through the ranks with "Manufactured" achievements, but it was not only the Spy network that worked it's magic, Jochi applied his own skills and made friends whom would eventually aid him in his rise. Despite how slow his rise was, it was still rather quick and it roused some suspicion, under the command of Florianus, Jochi was to remain inactive and to strengthen the trust of those around him until it was safe for him to operate without much risk to his Identity. |
