' H I S T O R Y A child born in the wild edges of the Azim Steppe and to the tribe "Kha" would lose it's mother just as quickly as it took it's first breath of fresh air. The Mother was weak and sickly, a severe Aether deficiency ravaged her body, being devoid of Ather was like being devoid of life. Giving birth to a child took the last of her energies, before the Mothers passing, she named her child "Jochi" and said her final words before returning to the Aether. Alas, Jochi was born only a little stronger than his mother, he clinged to life just barely and as he did so, his father was so heartbroken he had ran away, assuming his son would pass in the dusk of night. Jochi was stablized with what magic and herbs the tribe used and they kept him healthy with such methods, but only for so long. As he grew within the confines of the tribe, it became very noticeable that he did not grow like the others, his growth took longer, his body did not form in the way it should have, his appearance was became more womanly than manly. As he grew he had times of strength and times of utter weakness, his body fought hard in the early years to find it's proper place. By the tender age of ten a fit of weakness struck a again, but one not like before and the tribe could no longer help him and a week into his worsening condition the tribe chose to let him pass rather than continue his suffering. A friend of his father took him away from the tribe and headed toward Doma in search of help.. When they arrived in Doma, they met a Garlean pureblood whom offered their help, their medicine was far more effective and it put him on the fast track to recovery. Jochi elected to stay with Man, finally coming to know him as Tiberius and so Jochi was left there in his care. It wasn't long before Jochi was "Healthy" enough to be put to work, Tiberius had plans to make him a warrior, just like himself. Tiberius helped Jochi to strengthen his body and learn ways to overcome his weaknesses, everyday for the next 8 years were filled with training for hours on end. At the end of his training the two of them set out to put that training to use, traveling through the Empire's vast territory. They acted as mercenaries on behalf of the Garlean Empire, but for what purpose? This line of work continued on for two long years and by the end of it, Tiberius revealed the purpose of his training was to make him suitable to become a knight under his command. Within that year, Jochi under went his last trials to join "The Order of The Seventh Sun". It was long standing group of warriors, essentially mercenaries, they followed a strict set rules and only fought for those they agreed with, even if the pay was lesser than that of the other side. The Order was often employed by members of the Garlean empire and so they two had a longstanding history. Now under the banner of the Order, Jochi swore his loyalty to his new brothers and promised to fight by their side till the day he died, solely on Tiberius's word, at this point there was no one more dear to Jochi, he was a father to him. Jochi would serve them for another eight years before the razing of Doma happened. . With the succession crisis on the rise, the Order found itself split apart, one side supported Varis and the other his Uncle. The order fought amongst themselves as the civil war raged and only would come to end during the razing of Doma. All members of the Order were present, one side fought to crush the revolt and the other supported it. At first Jochi supported Varis and fought to eliminate the revolt whilst Tiberius fought to protect it, it was no surprise when they both met on the battlefield, but they both held back on their attacks, both unable to harm one another. Only when another knight came and struck down Tiberius while he was fighting did something click inside Jochi, at that moment he switched sides, but it was clear to him that the battle was far from in their favor. Jochi gathered who he could and escaped the fight amidst the chaos and used the following anarchy to escape to Eorzea. Jochi proclaimed himself the new leader of the Order and prepared to reform the entire group, but first they traveled to Ishgard, but he found it too cold and thus moved toward Dravaina, the new home of the Order. Now Jochi focuses on rebuilding the order and regaining the honor they once had and keep their rich history alive. |
