Chigusa is a small and fairly petite Au Ra with dark blue-black skin and bright white eyes. Her horns are long and flat to her head and a light ivory coloration, the scales along her cheeks and the rest of her body the same hue as well as her long whip-like tail. She keeps her hair mid-back length and a deep purple with long bangs on both sides as well as short side swept bangs on her forehead. She's round faced and almost cherub-like in appearance, which often conflicts with her being a sword and board type of person as many often cannot take her seriously when they look at her. When not about to run into combat she tends to opt for soft flowing dresses of whites and purples, but when she knows her skills as a tank are needed she can be found wearing very elaborately designed purple and green armored garments with matching weapon and shield. It is obvious she is a girl who puts a lot of thought into her appearance, both on and off the battlefield.
Chigusa is a kind-hearted girl who only wants to help protect those she cares about and those who cannot protect themselves, although her shyness and timid nature can sometimes lead her to not being the most effective at doing this. A crippling anxiety that is often creeping in the back of her mind also causes her issues and she often needs long periods of quiet to herself to de-stress so that she can begin the next day a little less frazzled. While she loves to help people, she is incredibly shy when it comes to meeting people in social environments, often over worrying about any manner of things and constantly second guessing her words and actions.

Likes
Peace and Quiet: She likes the quiet times where she can just relax and reflect on things.
Cute Animals: She loves things small and cute, specially cute little fuzzy critters (or not so fuzzy, really.)
Tea Time: She loves herself a good cup of tea, and can often be found drinking it when in her relaxation time.
Cuddling: While her shyness makes it hard for her to have someone to cuddle, when she is close to someone like that she very much enjoys it.
Helping People: Even if she's not the best at succeeding at times, she does truly enjoy trying to help those she can.
Dislikes
Crowded social situations: She is an anxiety baby, being around a lot of people in a normal social situation is very tiring for her.
Failing to protect: Which is something that happens more often then she cares to admit and often adds more to her self doubts about herself.
Overly assertive people: They make her uncomfortable, more often then not
Sour foods: She just doesn't like them, she prefers it sweet.
Cruelty: Of any kind, really. To people, to animals, to inanimate objects. Whatever doesn't deserve it, really.
Fears
Aggressive people: Much like assertive people, aggressive people downright terrify her and it can be easy for her to crawl into herself when having to deal with them.
Oceans: She once almost drowned in the ocean and has ever since been scared of it. She'll wade in the shallows with only slight discomfort but try and get her any deeper and you're outta luck.
Loud Noises with unknown sources: While nobody really likes hearing things they don't know where they're coming form, she can often be downright terrified of such instances.

Hobbies
Tea Drinking: She loves everything to do with a good spot of tea. Preparing it, pouring it, and of course drinking it. Tea parties are lovely too if she's comfortable with the people attending.
Paper crafts: She loves making little objects out of folder paper (origami) and her room is often littered with all sorts of little paper objects she's made.
singing: She has a very lovely singing voice but due to her shyness she rarely sings in front of anyone, but when on her own she truly enjoys the act of it.
Motivations
Helping Others: She truly wants to better the world for everyone around her, even if she's not so great at it.
Improving herself: She knows she's a bit of a failure at many things, and probably has chosen the wrong lot in life, but she's determined to better herself, even if it's a slow journey doing so.
Family Obligation: Almost everyone in her family has been a protector type of person, and as such she wants to follow in their footsteps, as tough as it is to do so for her.
Strengths
Willingness: She is willing to push herself to the limits, albeit small they may be.
Kind Hearted: She truly cares for people, even if she's shy around them. Helping them is a large guiding force for her and can cause her to do things she normally wouldn't.
More sturdy then she appears: She may be small and petite but anyone who has ever actually attacked her can find she is surprisingly sturdy and well grounded.
Weaknesses
Shyness: Her shyness causes her more issues in social environments then combative ones, but there are times when it can get to her there as well, specially if her foe is very talkative/aggressively spoken.
Anxiety: She gets anxious easy, and in combat that can sometimes put her in very rough situations when her anxiety takes over and she second guesses herself at the worst moments.
Timid Aggressively: She doesn't always have the gusto behind her attacks to really hurt someone enough to really win, luckily as a tank she usually has someone else there to do the attacking for her.

Chigusa's main go to is sword and board, she rarely strays from it as it's the only thing she's every really been comfortable with. She also uses her agility to her advantage, doing her best to dodge hits more so then taking them on full force. When it comes to attacking she's not the best at it, her strength lying more in defending. All in all she is very much a fledgling tank who has a lot to learn and a much needed boost in confidence if she is ever to truly succeed in what she feels is her path in life.
OOC Combat Info
The mun is not really looking for combat RP for this character, unless it involved her finding a trainer to help her get better in skill and confidence. If combat RP does occur for some reason, the mun prefers the combat RP style of using random rolls to keep things fair and will very rarely ever go with the honor system alone.
Public Info
Not a lot is actually known about Chigusa publicly, since she's such a shy and reserved person. What little public records would be of her arriving in Gridania when she first did and applying for temporary citizenship there while she gained her bearings. Past that what little info people may hear is likely just stories of her attempts to be a tank for adventuring groups, which often ends in failure. Anyone who looks into her family line will easily find records dating back many many years about a long line of successful protective warriors, with many still alive to this day and traveling the globe much like Chigusa is.
Timeline

Childhood
As a child Chigusa was inquisitive of most things around her, although also very frightened of everything, it was an odd mix. She'd get curious to see what something is but then get quickly scared of it for one of many reasons. Her family was often exasperated by their tiny scared child, uncertain what to do with her when the rest of the family were strong and brave individuals and she just seemed so out of place. They did their best to try and steel her for the world, with varying degrees of success and utter failure.
Early Years
As she grew older she got a little better about not being frightened by everything that moved (and sometimes didn't move), but her shyness seemed to grow stronger. Whereas as a child she would shower her family in affection despite her timid nature, as she grew older she grew more reserved, specially around anyone she did not really know all that well. Her family started to try and train her for magic, thinking the child would possibly be better with that then their normal line of work, but she showed no prowess in the magical arts and they eventually started to train her in sword and board. She picked up on it fairly well, surprisingly enough, but her timid nature always failed her at every turn.
Young Adult Years
As she reached her mid-late teens she really hadn't shown much improvement in her shyness, although she seemed better at letting it not completely control her every action. She continued to train with sword and board as well as working out almost obsessively, trying to build any form of muscle. She ended up hurting herself in the pursuit, causing herself to be bed ridden for many moons, losing what little muscle mass she had built up. Once well enough to move around again she realized that was not the path for her to take, and instead focused on relying on her armor and shield and her speed over brute strength as she was just not built for that. She continued to stay close to her family, fearful of the world despite an underlying curiosity to see what was all out there.
Up to Now
As she reached adulthood her family grew tired of coddling the shy woman, telling her to go out into the world and find what made her happy, whether it be continuing on with their profession of protecting others or finding something else they didn't really care, they just wanted her to stop hiding from everything and everyone and felt getting out there and out of her comfort zone was the only way she would ever achieve that. So she left, begrudgingly so, and has since been traveling and just trying to do just that.
