"There are two things that matter in life, drinking, and yourself. In that order." " "I'm here for two things. Ass and booze. I can enjoy both at once don't worry.” "Always happy to scrap mate. It's a shame though, your face wasn't pretty but at least your nose wasn't broken." "The Bloody Eft may not be the finest ship out there. But it floats. That's more than I can say for you if keep talking about it like that." "Garlean? Eorzean? Doman? I don't give a shit. I'll rob you either way. Nothing personal."
- Korrick Sailor -
Little Tidbits/Offsite Fun
Appearance
Korrick is handsome for a pirate. Some might even argue that he's handsome for anyone. With hazel eyes that look gold in some light and green in others, light brown skin, chiseled features, and brilliant smile, he's turned plenty of heads. He's of about average height for a midlander, but keeps in excellent shape. While not overly muscled, his body is lean and toned and he has rather large biceps and deltoids from years of hefting and swinging an axe. He's not one for high fashion and tends to prefer simple trousers and loose shirts- most of which are normally opened at the collar.
Aspects That Stand Out:
■ His green/gold eyes.
■ All of his teeth are not only white but intact..
■ The highlights in his hair, which can't be natural or easy to maintain.
About
Born to a Doman Sailor and merchant, and a Limsan shipwright and carpenter, Korrick's entire life has centered around the sea. From a young age he was trained to work with wood and metal as his father did, learning how to build, repair, and work on ships. His mother taught him the arts of sailing, and how to travel using the stars as a guide. While she also tried to teach him the basics of being a merchant and trader Korrick neither had head for, or interest in, business. Instead, upon reaching adulthood, Korrick set out on his own taking the first ship he could to the Far East, with the intent of finding his own adventure. He didn't quite find it. He did find a very sketchy crew, a rickety ship, and a very dangerous journey. After a bad storm brought damage to the ship and a chance to show off his carpentry skills, Korrick ended the journey with an offer to join the crew of the The Bloody Eft. Now Korrick works as an assistant shipwright, and muscle aboard a relatively "legal" ship. That may or may not occasionally attack trading vessels. His life now consist of traveling port to port, doing whatever his captain requires of him, and enjoying all the pleasures he can along the way.
Notes:
■ Korrick will never vocally call himself a pirate. Those that know what he is, are either fellow pirates, very good at keeping secrets, or dead.
■ Icly, Korrick's abilities are on par with a well trained marauder.
■ In a modern setting, Korrick's accent would be described as: "Cockney English".
PERSONALITY
Korrick likes to have fun. In fact, most people who have met him assume that's all he really likes to do. Not one for responsibilities, Korrick in the pursuit of hedonism. He enjoys spending his nights on shore, drinking, laughing, fighting, and dancing the night away. If he's lucky, and he often is, he even finds himself a partner to warm his bed. Korrick for the most part is charming, though that has more to do with his looks than any actual wit on his part. In fact, once someone gets to know him, it's not hard to realize that Korrick's good looks allow him to get away with a lot. While definitely strong and capable, he's not the brightest bulb of the bunch, and the phrase "It's a good thing you're cute." is something he's heard a bit. He's prone to having a flash temper and is quite selfish, as pirates tend to be.

Technique/Weapons
As the son of a carpenter and a merchant, Korrick didn't really receive any official combat training growing up. He did however, learn to fight. Growing up in Limsa Lominsa meant that most of the other boys were sons of sailors and pirates. Korrick learned quickly that if he wanted to make in his group of friends, he'd have to learn to scrap. For most of his youth, Korrick found himself using his fist to solve problems, and got pretty proficient at winning fights with a mean left hook. When he was older, he began training with a local marauder and the father of a friend, to use an axe. It's been his default weapon for about ten years now, and Korrick can hold his own quite well. If given a choice though, Korrick prefers to through his weapon down and resort to plain old fist. It's more personal that way.
✦ Weapon: Korrick's axe is nothing special. It's a simple steel blade, with a double sided head set on a long well polished elm shaft. He does take decent care of it, but it's plenty nicked and scratched from years of heavy use.
Weapons of Choice
■ Axe
■ Hands and Fist
■ Broken Glass, a big stick- Whatever the Hells he can grab!
OOC information for YOU
Roleplay combat can be fun, used to progress the story, and serve to break up the monotony of everyday rp. However, I do have a few things to note for those wishing to engage in roleplay combat with me!
■ I prefer the honor system to rolls.: Random rolls are 100% fine assuming characters are evenly matched. (In fact, in such situations, they're also preferable.) However, as a good amount of times one character tends to have a strong edge on another. In such cases, I prefer to simply agree on an outcome before hand, and roleplay out the fight as we see fit. Please note that I'm also 100% fine with Korrick losing in a fight. While his ego may be bruised, I think defeats help to further a character more than victories.
■ Korrick's probably down for a fight, but don't be ridiculous with it.: While he is a pirate and does have a bit of a flash temper, I'm not looking to get into a fight on Korrick every time I rp him. Sometimes, he'll just walk away. Even if he could totally kick your ass.
■ I'm not here to feed your inferiority complex: I'm sorry, but if you're looking to fight my character to oocly prove something, I'm not for you.

Roleplay is meant to be fun! I'm here for all sorts of roleplay be it a long and in depth adventure, to a simple fortune telling, to a nightly romp in the woods. So long as everyone is enjoying it and leaves the roleplay feeling satisfied, I'm not particularly picky. I do ask that the lines of OOC and IC stay very clearly drawn. I am not my character, and you are not yours. What they feel for each other is not reflective of our own feelings.
Personal RP Limits
I don't have very many hardcore limits honestly as I feel consequences must be adhered to when RPing any character regardless of whom they might be. However there are a few exceptions to this and they are as follows.
■ I will play Sexual roleplay themes/Erp, violence, romances (maybe), longer story lines, heavy mature themes (Drug use, illegal activity, implied rape/torture, death (npc), ect.) Lighthearted roleplay, slice of life roleplay, romance, roleplay combat.
■ I won't play Allow my character to be killed (at least not atm). Roleplay with godmodders (unless ooc consent is giving before hand), do most scenes involving heavy torture, mutilation or death (unless heavily discussed before hand.) Drastically change or adjust Korrick to fit a specific partner without valid story reasons.
Disclaimer
Little Tidbits.
■ I'm a strong believer in the concept of IC actions having IC consequences. If your character robs a bank, he should have a warrant. If one is badly injured, they'll need time to recover ect. It makes the roleplay a bit more believable as well as adds to the immersion for me..
■ Between real life, other roleplay and social obligations, and general moods, I won't always be up for roleplaying with you. Please respect that there will be times when I say "No I'm not up for it," and leave it at that. In return, I'll always respect this in you and will never push or fuss about roleplay.
CHARACTER TIDBITS
Potential Plot Hooks
While the below is by no means comprehensive, it's a kind of spring board for walk-up RP.
■ Sailor? Rival Pirate? Maybe he robbed you, or maybe you've worked together.
■ Korrick is always up for work on the side, and has been known to do odd jobs as a bodyguard and hired muscle.
■ First stop when making port? Local bars. Pull up, have a drink, maybe spend a night with him.
