Rena Gran （レーナ・グラン）, is a player character from Balmung. She is Niklas Gran's adopted sister. ((STILL RECONSTRUCTING. WORK IN PROGRESS!))

Appearance

History

Rena was once a Miqo'te from a Seeker tribe near the Sagolii Desert who traveled northward and got captured near Coerthas, where she met Niklas. Nik adopted her as his sister, since she has been separated from her tribe, and she gladly got along with her newfound foster brother.

As of recent, she and Nik joined the free company Arcadeus, with them forming their own subdivision called the Gran Knights. One day, Rena snuck into Ellaria's office, finding a concoction that she drank where she thought it was an energy drink because the scent was aromatic and was out in the open. This was actually a Fantasia potion, and it turned Rena into a Hyur Midlander. Although it was shocking to her at first, she actually liked it because it made her more like her foster brother.

Personality

When one sees Rena at first glance, chances are they can tell she's a tomboy, and that's correct. She has a tendency to not ease up on her punches and stabs, and chances are that she will be looking for a fight. She has an opposite personality to her foster brother Niklas, but she shares his pure heart and love for the realm, and will not stand for any innocents being hurt, even if it costs her life.

Affiliations and Known Associates

Zahara Nunh (Romantic Interest): A strong and nice Miqo'te Rena found looking at her in front of the Quicksand in Ul'dah. Together they went and had fun at Costa del Sol, and then he defended Rena when Aaron grabbed her. While they were chatting, Rena fell in love with him, and Zahara has feelings for her.

Niklas Gran (Foster Brother, Good Standing): Nik and Rena first met when he saw her captured one day by some poachers. After he beat them, Nik rescued her from her bondage, and after they chatted, they found out that the rest of her tribe abandoned her. Feeling sorry for her, Nik decided to adopt her as a younger sister, giving her the name Rena, which she gladly took. To this day, Nik and Rena are inseparable. Rena even didn't mind becoming a Hyur due to this.

Rutu Tutu (Great Friend, Good Standing): Rena holds a high standing to this rather flirtatious Lalafell, who guided her from Gridania to Ul'dah for her so she can reunite with her brother, Niklas.

Xuri Tia (Friend, Good Standing): This outgoing Miqo'te is a close follower to Niklas, joining him on his first leve as a Gran Knight, and he holds some respect for Rena for being his sister. Rena and Xuri both know fist-fighting, although Rena is more of a mage actually, and both are orphans, with complicated pasts, so they can relate.

Aaron Glacier (Good Standing): When Rena first met Aaron, he thought that she was spoiled because she announced herself as Niklas's sister. Already having amnosity for Niklas at the moment, Aaron didn't think highly of Rena as a result, and vice versa. However, after their latest fight, Aaron apologized for trying to kill her brother, and Rena, who watched nearly the whole fight, saw Aaron in a different light from that day on.

• She absolutely hates the cold. She doesn't want to set foot in the now snowy Coerthas, which was her previous home.
• She is smart, but she is not very bright, therefore she does not understand half the smart things she says.

• She carries marks on her cheeks similar to Niklas.
• She has a large amount of aether in her. Her magic is really powerful as a result.
• She has been under the care of the Opo Tribe in her childhood.

Equipment

Her combat skills were exceptional such as her fists and lance while she was with her tribe in her childhood. Her skills only improved while she lived with Niklas, but she's still not as strong as Nik, although she's close.
