Hair & Eyes
Alaisia’s long black hair is kept out of her eyes and her way by being pulled into a high ponytail. In order to discourage enemies from grasping it during a battle, she threads small, personally crafted strips of spiked strap through it.Her eyes, a deep crimson, are ringed by limbal marks as dark as her hair. They are often cold and expressionless.
Physique & Markings
Alaisia has spent the entirety of her life fighting or training to fight. As such, she is in perfect shape for fighting. Her body is powerfully muscled despite her small stature, wiry but not unfeminine. Her bust is fairly large for an Au Ra, a large B or small C.The most notable tattoos Alaisia bares are the names of each primal she has slain in kanji on her shoulders. The most visible are the three claw-mark streaks across her face. Alaisia is heavily scarred, some more severe than others. More than a few, and the most brutal, are evidence of the attempted murder visited upon her by her former clansmates.
Hygiene & Attire
While Alaisia, given her life on the steppes, doesn’t have any burning need to look attractive, she does very much enjoy the results of being such. That being the company of beautiful maidens.
Alaisia is almost always wearing armor of some kind, predominantly medium or heavy armor to suit her preferred styles of combat. She also prefers to wear darker colors, trending heavily towards black. This is mostly because her ‘casual clothes’ would have her mistaken for a street dancer or a courtesan.
Personality
Psychological Profile
Alaisia is, in short, a battle fanatic. Born and raised as a member of the Dotharl Clan, she spent her entire life being conditioned to be fearless in battle and ruthlessly cruel in victory. It is during this time that the origin of her surname came to light, for when she engaged in battle she would lose herself to the singing of her blood, a bone deep craving for destruction and battle.
However, this outlook began to change overtime, and everything came to a head when she helped raid the Kharlu and met the woman who would change her life, the elezen Ishgardian noble-woman Astrelle De’bayle. Something in her rebelled at the thought of killing this stranger, and so she spared both the Elezen and the Kharlu with her. As a result, she was later cast out and left to die by her own kin.
When Astrelle came across her and saved her life in turn, she swore to break away from her clan’s cruel and pointless blood-soaked existence. Since then, she has become a chivalrous protector of the innocent as she seeks redemption for her previous atrocities. She still struggles, however, with the Blood-Song
Voice
Alaisia’s voice is husky and low, often devoid of emotion beyond snarky sarcasm when interacting with strangers. Only for a select few are allowed to hear anything else in her voice. [Jennifer Hale aka Commander Shepard]
Philosophy & Mannerisms
Much to the concern of her few friends, Alaisia could be called “Deathseeker” as well as “Bloodsong”. Seeking penance for her previous actions of cruelty and wanton destruction, Alaisia throws herself into battle without thought for her own safety. It is not to say that she doesn’t parry or block or dodge, but she will charge into situations where a tactical withdrawal would be wiser. Since her change after meeting Astrelle, she has adopted the ideals and mannerisms of the Elezen’s home, dedicating herself to the protection of those who cannot protect themselves. The root of her philosophy is that "Power Is No Blessing In Itself, Except When It Is Used To Protect The Innocent!"

● Those Who Hurt The Helpless
● Being judged for her racial heritage.

Low: Self-Control (In Battle)
Non-Combat Abilities
(Passive) The Bloodsong: Alaisia is constantly resisting the call of her own blood to do battle. It is a craving, an addiction that she faces every moment of her life, one that becomes even more difficult to resist when she enters a conflict (either verbal or physical).
Kinesthesia and Situational Awareness: Alaisia learns by doing, which is how she is able to fight in so many different ways. While she enjoys reading, she has significant difficulty learning in this way. She is also what some might call paranoid, thought she prefers to think of it as high situational awareness and cautionary attitude.
Combat Abilities
(Passive)Mistress of War Alaisia has dedicated her entire life to fighting and learned ever method of waging war that she could get her hands on. While most are only middling in skill, she nonetheless is an extremely experienced fighter with a significantly larger skillset than those that focus their efforts on a single discipline.
Sword and Shield Alaisia will greatly enhance her speed, essentially teleporting herself to a fixed point to either attack or defend a targeted individual. Can only be used very rarely due to potential for disoriantetion and the not-insignificant aetherial cost.
Voice of the Damned: Alaisia focuses her aether to her vocal cords and lets lose a high-pitched shrieking sound that is severely debilitating and disorienting to those in ear shot. Given that it effects ANYONE in audible range, it cannot be used with allies except in the most dire of circumstances.
Unleash: Alaisia’s aether erupts from the ground around him in a circle, spiked and hardened to a point to strike at the enemy. Only used if she is surrounded by at least four opponents.
Shatterpoint: Alaisia tends to focus on placing significant strength behind her blows while targeting certain points of her enemy or the landscape. These blows, while powerful, are ungainly. They often miss with devastating results to whatever they ultimately hit
(Limit Break)Deathseeker: When the battle turns grim and defeat is imminent, when a hero becomes so inspired they push beyond their boundaries, when a long slumbering power is awoken, a person's Limit Break is revealed. Alaisia trades damage now for damage later, significantly increasing her physical abilities (speed, strength, etc.) while damaging her muscles severely. If she failed to defeat her opponent within a short time frame of activation, she would be overwhelmed by pain and weakness, becoming utterly helpless.

WARNING: Long entries ahead!
The Dotharl, Butchers of the Steppes

For turnings uncounted, the Dotharl tribe of Xaela have roamed the steppes of Othard, killing whomever they wished whenever and wherever they desired. They lack most forms of morality save for a few, and are taught from birth that life has no purpose beyond death, and that death is nothing to fear. As such, they will fight at any excuse for as long as they wish, before departing again. They do not claim and cultivate territory, instead simply taking what they need and want from those that they fight. This raiding lifestyle means that any attempt to isolate and exterminate the tribe has ultimately failed, though it also ensures a high enough mortality rate that they never become too numerous. They are particularly known for their disdain of the peaceful Raen. While none of the Xaela tribes (save for the Malaguld) are particularly fond of the Raen, the Dotharl view them as a direct affront to their own lifestyle, and raid them whenever possible. However, given the Raen’s tendency to live in cities, these raids rarely accomplish anything but meager loot and casualties. Dotharl have little affection for one another, but will not tolerate outsiders speaking ill of their kin. Rather, they will happily pound or kill one another, but an outsider attempting to do the same will quickly find themselves far out of their depth.

The Bloodsong Softens

Alaisia Bloodsong had spent her entire life fighting, training to fight, or waiting for either of the two former options to present themselves. She was good at it, too, besting seasoned warriors in duels before she saw fifteen summers, much to the loser’s chagrin and the observers’ hilarity. She attended many raids and assaults during her life, but it was during her twenty first year of life that everything changed. The Kharlu and the Jhungid’s annual battle was about to begin, and the Elders had decided that it was really quite rude of the two tribes to have their little squabble without inviting the best warriors in all the land to join in. The fact that it was a personal issue between the two tribes for the purpose of claiming territory and resources was utterly irrelevant to the leaders of the Dotharl. Why should it matter what they were fighting about? The point was that they were fighting, and the Dotharl were going to go after both of them at the same time. When the two clans joined battle, the Elders sounded the war-horns and the Dotharl swept out of the hills howling war-cries. They smashed into the two battling clans, who promptly put aside their differences to turn against their mutual enemy. The battle turned into a chaotic melee, everyone fighting everyone, and the ground became mud from the blood of hundreds. Alaisia cut her way through the chaos into the Kharlu encampment, seeking loot of both the material and the flesh kind for herself, a not-unpopular way to gain prestige and power amongst her people. It was then, however, that she found herself face to face with a creature she had never seen before, what she would later find out was an elezen female. A prisoner of the Kharlu, she none the less claimed a weapon to defend the women and children of her captors. Alaisia hesitated, admiring this foreign beauty that she found herself desiring to claim. However, something about her courage in the face of the blood-soaked Dotharl killer stayed Alaisia’s hand, calmed the singing of her blood. She found herself reluctant to harm the girl and those she protected. Instead, against all expectations, she showed them a way to escape and kept other pillaging Dotharl from catching them. Over the following months, she found herself sparing enemies, both combatant and civilian, more and more, in direct opposition to both her upbringing and the commands of the Elders. Finally, she was discovered and forced to flee. The Dotharl caught up to her and exacted punishment on her flesh, leaving her a tortured, bleeding wreck near death. Fate, however, had a different plan. The Elezen she had spared had appeared as if by magic, hands shimmering with healing magic and compassionate eyes. The Elezen, who introduced herself as Astrelle De’bayle in broken Xaelic, had healed her wounds and carried her to safety. When she recovered, she swore that she would be more than what her upbringing had made her. She would be like this Elezen and her people. She would protect those who couldn’t protect themselves, rescue those in need. Just as Astrelle had for her.

The Sails to Eorzea

For several years did Alaisia remain at Astrelle’s side, learning the language and culture of Eorzea and teaching the Ishgardian Xaelic in turn. However, word soon reached Alaisia’s ears that the Dotharl knew of her survival and were searching for her. Unwilling to put her dear friend in danger, the renegade Dotharl had lied, claiming she was going to Eorzea to fight against the Primal threat. Finding one of the Dotharl search parties, she crushed them and informed them that she was leaving Othard behind, and that anyone who continued to hunt her would not return to their homeland, before she left them to report to their Elders. Boarding a merchant ship, she cast one final look at her homeland, and the smiling and waving Elezen on the docks, until they fell from view. Resolute in her decision, she pushed aside the pain at the knowledge that she would never again see Astrelle and looked to the feature. As Fate would have it, the gods willed that the pair would meet again on the warm, sandy shores of Costa Del Sol.

Astrelle De'bayle, . - Savior of Alaisia
Character's Thoughts: "I owe her everything and more"
It is only through Astrelle that Alaisia is still alive, just as Alaisia is the reason Astrelle is still alive. It is through Astrelle that Alaisia found her new philosophy of life in serving a higher, more noble purpose than simple warfare. It is Astrelle's stories that shaped Alaisia into who she is now, and it is for Astrelle's sake that Alaisia came to Eorzea. The Xaela would do anything the Elezen asked of her without hesitation./div>

RP Limits
I like to consider myself a flexible player who is willing to commit to a number of different types of scenes and role-play scenarios, but even I have my limits. If something is on the play list, assume it means yes, as long as it's within the context of the current play or ongoing plot. No's are typically a hard no, and it means don't ask.

RP Hooks
While the below is by no means comprehensive, it's a kind of spring board for walk-up RP. Longer plots that are meant to run for more than a few quick RP's, please feel free to send me a tell so we can work out a good reason for our characters to get to know one another. I'm always looking for RP, unless I'm actively spamming PvE content.

Player Note
There is a lot of information on this character wiki, but it is by no means completely comprehensive. There are chunks of backstory that are left intentionally vague so that details can be later added as developed through creative writing or in role-play revelation. Feel free to use Common or Uncommon rumors freely, if you want to use a Rare Rumor as a plot hook or to spark RP, I would ask that you send me a tell first, to make certain it's alright.

Tropes & Explanations
A trope is a convention or device that is often found in creative works. In this case, the tropes below describe my character either in part, or as a whole. Their background, personality, appearance, etc, most of them can be described in the tropes below.
Trope Tropes are devices and conventions that a writer can reasonably rely on as being present in the audience members' minds and expectations. On the whole, tropes are not clichés.
