His pitch black hair adds to that effect; usually kept casual or uncombed, complements his round facial features. These features, specifically his cheeks and nose, hold a slight flush while the rest of his skin remains tanned or rather sunkissed. His eyes, both being an ice white color, hold a steeled look of determination. Yet somehow also compassion and kindness. ↣ SCARS: Numerous pale scars; deep, faded, and in-between decorate his body. Across his right eye a scar adorns his face and his left cheek carries a smaller one. He also carries a crescent shaped scar across the left of his abdomen. ↣ CLOTHING: Alzec's main attire consists of a single sleeve, dark red waistcoat. Though usually his attires range from full coverage traveling gear, to simple city garments, or a mixture of both. Its a rare sight for him to be seen without his red scarf, something he holds dear to him. Aside from this, he also has two bells attached to his belt that jingle as he moves. ↣ VOICE CLAIM: Jot Davies Honest and perceptive. Alzec's a man who believes in steadfastness. While he speaks with a gentle tone, he is a calm and flexible man with universal capabilities. Known for his determination and cunning, Even when disrespected or faced with obvious hostility, Alzec rarely ever reciprocates the feelings, and often forgoes grudge-holding. He does, however, hold a grudge against the Garlean Empire, but not the soldiers serving it. He realizes most of them are ‘prisoners’ of their country, like he once was. Due to his parents their positions within the Empire, he never was able to spend as much time with them as he would have liked as a child. Mostly ending up at the kid next door their family. He didn't mind all that much as he had a good friend in that boy. Childhood friends who shared the same dreams and did almost everything togheter. Every day things but mostly mischievous things. Playing pranks on the local people or even lictors. Alzec got in trouble more than once, but somehow there were never any punishments, like because of his parents. Adolescence As Alzec got older eventually he went into some sort of military school. He wanted to become a Lictor, unusual considering all the prank he used to play on them. But he felt like it was the job for him. Not only that but his childhood friend ended up in the same training so it wasn't all that bad to begin with. Both of them did well in the training. Alzec outdid everyone in the physical aspects of the training, though seemed to lack a bit in the theoretical aspect, mostly cause he didn't care much for theory. His friend however was the exact opposite, good in theory, bad in physical. They helped eachother as well as possible and both of them graduaded with great marks and became Lictors. pre-calamity Life was rather quiet as a lictor, nothing interesting ever really happened and Alzec found himself to be bored. day in day out the same thing. Alzec expected more action. That is till one day they arrested someone who tried to steal from a man named 'Kaeso Goe Cloudius', A supervisor of public morality, and the man who remembers Alzec and his friend as the brats who played pranks on him. It was then that Somehow, Alzec's childhood friend, and 2 others from Alzec's circle of friends and collegues were falsely accused and executed for treason. Once more Alzec did not get any form of punishment, which bothered him. Though not as much as how he finally realized how the Garlean Empire operates, it disgusted him. Following this he fled Garlemald and wandered around, only to end up around Gyr Albania. Post calamity When the Calamity happened over at Carteneau Flats, news of what happened somehow did reach through the Garlean occupation in Gyr Albania. When Alzec heard about it he was astonished. Never had he imagined a dragon big enough to ravage the land as it did. It made him realize that there were bigger things out there than the Garlean Empire he had now dedicated his life to opposing. Meanwhile He started to make a name for himself in the Ala mhigan resistance. He had changed his name to 'Alzec' to avoid people finding out his Garlean descent and he grew through the ranks quite fast untill they gave him the command of his own squadron. A succesful squadron at that. Alzec seemed to show that he had a keen insight on the battlefield, his quick thinking and ability to use the lay of the land to his advantage made sure non of his squadron put their life down for a good while. A feat made further astonishing if you considered that Alzec made every member of his squadron aswell as herself wear two bells on their belts. He saw it as a way of being honorable and respectful to let the enemy know they were there. His reputation grew so big that the mere sound of the bells made the enemies shudder in fear. In Crimson It Began As Alzec was out in Ala Ghanna in an attempt to secure information on patrol routes or other locations of garleans. He heard the sound of cannon fire originating from Rhalgr's reach. Looking over he noticed the column of smoke on the horizon....rising from Rhalgr's Reach. With dawning horror he makes way towards the reach as fast as he could. Encountering many resistance fighters on his way who were trying to escape, followed by garleans who were cutting down anyone they could. Including the men of Alzec's own squadron. Pressing on to help as many as he could, Alzec returned the garleans favor by killing them left and right. Although at some point he saw the so called Warrior of light being pushed back in battle against the Imperial Viceroy himself and Alzec realized there was little to no hope. That they had to escape to fight another day. Reluctant he escaped with as many resitance fighters as he could but later dissapeared himself. Many had thought he was killed in the attack, though others started hearing different rumors. Hiding in Rumors Rumors spreaded across Gyr Albania, mainly under drunkards. But eventually also among the resistance fighters aswell as mere fighters. Rumors of a man taking on the garlean army on his own, taking out the skulls, but also in general helping the people in the land. Be it by loading carts for transport, protecting innocent people that are being attacked by monsters or even watering the crops for farmers. The only thing that all these rumors had in common was the fact that a name was never given and that the man dissapeared like a shadow as soon as his task was finished. leaving him only known by the name given by people, "The Deserter".
