General

Brave Horizon is a member of Ul'dah's lowest social and economic classes, and her appearance and demeanor reflect that fact for the most part. Her clothes are worn and poorly fitted. She is never filthy, but she is sometimes dirty after a day of hard work, and her calloused, scarred hands might be permanently stained. Her speech has a lower-class accent; however, she has a vocabulary that suggests some education.

Brave is of slightly above average height for a Roegadyn. Her body reflects her life as a poor laborer: strong with a well-defined build but somewhat thinner than she should be. Her bust and hips are quite feminine, though her self-cut hair and lack of makeup detract from her beauty in the traditional sense. The small orange gem embedded in her forehead matches her eyes and is permanent, but any other facial markings are painted on.

Personality

Despite her lot in life, Brave is not an angry or bitter person. She is generally suspicious of strangers. She can be very kind when shown kindness though, and an act of sharing by her (be it food, drink, or stories) is an act of trust. She becomes uncomfortable around people of wealth or power. She does harbor an intense dislike of people who waste what they have.

She spends her sparse free time either drinking (when she has a spare coin or two) or reading. She enjoys reading of grand adventures and naughty romances in equal measure; however, she devours whatever scholarly texts whenever she comes across. She particularly enjoys mathematics and physical sciences.

Brave's romantic experience is limited to her novels. She finds herself becoming lonely in an emotional sense of late. Occasional one-night stands and short-lived flings with both men and women keep her sated in the physical sense. At one point she considered whoring for income, but the demand for Roegadyns is limited, and her body had been hardened too much by her work.
