Basics

Appearance:

Caleb is tall even by Highlander standers towering at 6 fulms 5ilms. He weighs in at around 253 ponz with a broad chest and a large muscled frame that could wield a Lominsan Roedagyn's Greataxe with ease. The constant swing of the hammer and hauling of metal and stone has kept this blue eyed Hyur in top shape. And the glow of the forges embers has turned his once fair skin bronze. When shirtless, one can see a large scar running down the far right side of his chest. The large scar starts slightly below the arm pit and runs down to his waist. In keeping with military standards, Caleb prefers his black hair closely cropped and sometimes shaved altogether. And rare is it for Caleb to have his face clean shaven, preferring a scruffy or shortly kept beard in it's place.

Fashion:

Calebs job will sometimes leave it's mark as soot can be found on his pants, shirt and skin depending on if he just left the forge. He prefers the simple cloths, not caring about the latest fashion or trends. And it is not uncommon to find him shirtless while working the smith shop or out in the woods working out. He still has the plate armor he used while in the militia, and it's kept in immaculate condition.

Personality:

Quiet would be the first word used to describe Caleb when around people he does not know, that is unless he's been drinking. He for the most part keeps to himself, choosing instead to observe the scene makers rather then be at the center of one. Around family and friends he is a bit more relaxed and speaks more freely. Caleb could also be described as stubborn, and in rare cases insightful.

Relationships

Family:

Caleb and his twin Cayden were inseparable and literally joined at birth until the doctor took a knife to the boys (Hence the large scar that runs along their sides). They had their differences from time to time, but by and large were the best of friends. He always took the defensive brother roll along with his twin when it came to their younger sister. Dear Anya however seemed to have an endless supply of willpower, especially where her ideology came into play. Ever a font of conviction, the three of them rarely found themselves lacking an adventure. His relationship with his mother is still strong to this day, but because of the strained relationship with his father he rarely sees her. Prior to coming out about his bisexuality, Caleb got along just fine with his father who always ran the ship tight. But afterwards, few words have been spoken between them. This in turn has caused a strain in relationship for his parents.

Friends:

Over the past few months Caleb has meet a few people, some of which he considers to be good friends, other with more complex relationships. Sarij Rahzersyn is among these friends, the Roe is among Caleb's closest and most trusted circle. He was instantly drawn to Sarij kind heart, and their friendship has been solid since the day they meet. Gerik Aston is another of Caleb's friends, the carefree and friendly man intrigues Caleb as does the two's similar features. And while the two are in no way related, the two have jokingly called each other twin. Coral Ferrinas is another of Caleb's friend as the two have had very personal conversations over the years. Caleb has come to rely on Coral's ear and would gladly lend his anytime his friend needed it. Caleb's relationship with Corin Winterborne is a bit more complex, but as a result of a recent heated discussion, the two have found common ground and he can count Corin among his friends.

Lover:

Among the new friends Caleb as also found a lover in Berrod Armstrong. The unlikely pair have been through a lot in recent years, but Caleb remains fiercely loyal.

History:

Childhood

Caleb's childhood is as boring and normal as they come. Having an identical twin and younger sister to grow up with meant that he was rarely alone. While their parent's were at work the siblings would often play in the woods near their house, making forts and pretending to be on some great adventure. Despite their mothers warning not play in the forest they had gotten into a few close calls with the local fauna, ending in a few swift swats to their behinds once they were safe.

Adolescency

This was a tumultuous time for Caleb as he began to pull away from his family and become more isolated. He felt different for most his childhood and it wasn't until adolescence that he came to accept the truth of his bisexuality. His father took it the hardest causing a rift between the two as he felt ashamed of Caleb. For days his father would avoid him, never even looking at the boy. And although his mother and siblings were more understanding, Caleb made the decision to leave home. The first year was difficult for him as he made his way through the forests, living off the survival skills he was taught as a kid. But food was scarce and his ability to hunt was sub par. Having no real skills to speak of and desperate for gil he enlisted in the Eorzea militia. This in turn helped to keep him off the streets and make his coin sack a little more heavy. He would spend the next few years defending the borderlands from Garlean encroachment.

Adulthood

Years past and many battles were seen by Caleb, the pain of losing one comrade in particular however was more then he could bare. He had become very fond of another soldier, Adolston, who returned Calebs affection. The two became inseparable for a time ever at the others side in battle and in bed. Their relationship however would come to an abrupt end with one bloody skirmish with the Garleans. Adolstons death in battle sent Caleb into despair, and every battle after would only remind him of losing his lover. He chose to leave the militia and return to civilian life in Gridania. His coming home from the militia was first meet with a slap in the face from his mother, followed by weeping and a strong embrace. He knew before he left that it would hurt his mother, but the shame he felt at the time caused him to leave regardless. Only a nod was exchanged between him and his father as he still to this day continues to try and heal the old wounds.

Recent Years

In recent months Caleb is starting settling down from the life of a wanderer, to an apprentice at a smithy. He does not own a place of his own just yet, but has been saving gil to one day own a piece of land. He has also recently been reunited with most of his family, save for his father with whom he still has a very tense relationship with. But the wounds with the others have began to heal, and Caleb is making his best effort to ensure that they do. Caleb has also made a few new friends along the way.

Theme Songs: Bah! Character music is always so hard for me because it's difficult to find a single song that all around grasps a character. So I'm gonna have to pick 3 heh. The first being the "overall" theme song, I also picture this being what Caleb would sound like if he were to sing. Ordinary World The Next two are more "Battle" theme music but can still be applied to his theme as a whole.Master of Shadows League theme song
