Raven hair cascades down in long waves and stops just above his shoulders. Violet eyes are constantly scanning their surroundings, occasionally twinkling with a subtle mischief. Though he appears to lack markings on most of his body, a dark gray, runelike tattoo does stretch over his right eye. He often wears light, revealing clothing -- well suited for a warm climate of Thanalan. It is complimented by an array of jewelry, everything from rings and necklaces to sashes lined with precious metals. It is almost as though he is trying to project an air of opulence to anyone and everyone he meets. "Some may sneer at my apparent lack of conviction, but if I'm ever selfish, it's for the benefit of those I care about." Likes Humor and mischief. Books and other texts. Particularly those pertaining to magic. Smoking. Pipes packed with tobacco or hookahs full of shisha are his preferred poisons but it isn't uncommon to find him enjoying moko grass from time to time. Exploring ruins for not only treasure but the wealth of knowledge they often hold. Relaxing in his loft or some other lounge with pleasant company. Dislikes While he understands that it's a dog-eat-dog world, he grew up on the streets and feels a certain kinship with the people who still call them home. Showing them cruelty for the sake of amusement or feeling superior is a good way to earn his ire. Being cheated or scammed. Asking about his "pedigree." A sharp eye might be able to tell he is not a full-blooded duskwight but it isn't a subject he's fond of getting into. Fears Losing everything he's worked for and again being reduced to poverty. Dying alone and forgotten. Skills/Talents Diplomacy - While he isn't useless in a fight, combat is very much not Cynel's forte. Whether its striking a deal, talking his way out of trouble, or simply charming someone over, charisma has always been the favored tool in his arsenal. Magic - Though he's still something of an amateur, Cynel has quickly picked up various forms of magic and continues to study it where he can. Perceptive - One thing Cynel learned on the streets of Ul'dah was that you should always be aware of your surroundings. Developing that skill has not only allowed him to read a room but further compliments his search for valuable artifacts in the ruins he explores. Knowledgeable - Cynel has a healthy mix of both street and book smarts. At least when it comes to the things that are of use to him. He's spent a great deal of time researching what relics are worth good money and knows how to make the right connections to sell them. Adaptable - The talent that ties all the rest together is Cynel's ability to adapt. If there's a vital skill or piece of information necessary to thrive, he's usually pretty good at picking it up. There are limits to this, of course. He's by no means a prodigy in all aspects of life but he's usually a quick enough study to get by. PC Sakialyn Blackstone (♥✔) - Business Partner and Bodyguard Cynel first met Saki in a seedy Ul'dahn tavern. If her beauty wasn't enough to catch his eye, the sight of her decking an overly handsy patron certainly did. He immediately rushed over to praise her for her prowess and offered her a job as his bodyguard out in the field. Since then, her role has evolved into that of a 50/50 business partner. The two have slowly developed a growing attraction for one another, and in no small part due to Cynel's persistance, they've taken the tentative first steps towards a relationship. Es'mena Nenda (♦✔) - The Enigmatic Captain Cynel first met Es'mena at a party in the Goblet. For better or worse, strong women have always managed to garner his attention and she's exuded an air of confidence whenever they've met. He's found their interactions entertaining to say the least and she's even offered him candid advice on some personal matters. Though they have yet to strike an official deal, she's been insistent that Cynel use her ship for transporting his special brand of merchandise. He considers Es'mena to be a friendly acquaintance and possible business partner. Though, there are times where he feels like she's trying to lure him and Saki into her crew. Faye Covington (♦●) - The Porcelain Tea Cup Despite her penchant for running a teahouse out in the twelveswood, it was actually the Quicksand where Faye and Cynel first became acquainted. Ever the one to people watch, he couldn't help but listen in on her coversation with an Ishgardian newcomer and soon butted in. The pair eventually delved into their own discussion about the value of tough lessons and Cynel has found great enjoyment in the brief topics that have followed. Even if they hail from different backgrounds and the chats have been relatively few, he's judged her company to be quite pleasant thus far.
