With sharp features framed by wild hair the colour of sun-burned shorelines, his vibrant, dreamy eyes serve as a topical pinpoint caught between lush cerulean and ultraviolet peridot, often alight with an artless spark folded-away beneath a half-lidded gaze. With shapely brows curved into sweeping arches above his careful gaze, prone to an impish loft, or thoughtful knit of consideration— his features are softened only by the fullness to his cheeks. Etani'a is a natural blonde, with cropped-short hair that is often left to do as it may please. The ends often brush at the nape of his neck, and fall forwards into his eyes. He’s quick to brush and sweep them aside, even, at times, going as far as to pin them aside when lost in concentration, or focussing on a task that requires his hands. Though he doesn’t fuss overly so with his locks, allowing them to fall where they may, Etani is prone to sweeping his fingers through these looser, shorter tendrils when relaxing, when thinking, or when agitated. Stray feathers, beads, and other adornments often find their way into his sandy strands, usually for the purposes of entertainment, though he’ll admit (if a little shyly) to enjoying the way they appear. Standing at a mere five fulms and one ilm, Etani is of meagre height compared to many of his kin. In a society that values strength and ferocity, it would be considered somewhat of a setback, but to a Keeper with no high goals of leading a clan, he’s fallen complacent, albeit a little defensive. Etani form is noticeably lean. The kind of strength he cultivates isn’t that of a typical fighter, but rather that of a careful dancer trained for dexterity, and agility. Despite this, his body maintains clear shape, with a light curve to his waistline, tapering out to his hips, his chest (or his ‘core’) contains the least of his strength, while his arms contain the most— corded, and clearly defined. By no means is Etani unfit, a history of life along harsher climates coupled with his current, more active lifestyle has left him with a body that boasts abdominal strength, and an impressive amount of spine mobility. Etani carries himself confidently, with his shoulders squared— Nunh he may not be, but the thought scarcely seems to concern him. His grace is evidenced with every step he takes, as if he’s walking upon the balls of his feet. Though his skin tone is hardly pale, the natural bronze to his complexion is made all the more noticeable by the touch of the sun. Cinnamon-like freckles have been carelessly dusted over the bridge of his nose, the arch of his cheeks, the curves of his shoulders, and the sways of his hips. Slender fingers are scattered with light scars, and the faintest of pale streaks ring both of his wrists, and both of his ankles. A scar drawn from the hinge of his jaw to the cut of his collarbone stands out as a pale streak against his blemishless facade, jagged and rough, as if it’s been traced over (and over) more than once. A thin, white-inked tattoo spans across the base of his throat with opal-threaded roses as opulent and as extravagant as something plucked right from a fairytale book in Ishgard. Pale thorns tangle together towards his collarbone, where they lose their roots at the swell of his shoulder. Etani primarily dresses for comfort, though his tastes glaringly lean towards the more luxuriant. Favouring soft fabrics with sheer cuts that drape across his frame and leave very little to the imagination, his favoured colours seem to be shades of violet and blue. Preferring silver to gold, many of his more lavish clothes are hemmed with glittering thread that catches the eye without the need for grandiose lighting. When far from the stage, Etani settles happily for a simple pair of slacks, and no shirt at all. Both of his pointed, black-tipped ears have been pierced a generous number of times with eye-catching beads and pearls. A thread of thin opals has been strung across the crest of his head like a makeshift crown, held in place with a piercing at the base of each ear. A thin string of glittering amethysts has been strung about his neck, and an array of preternatural rings sit upon his slender fingers, studded with a number of precious and semi-precious stones. Etani navel has similarly been pierced with a simple, plain barbell. A thin, silver cord has been wound about his left ankle, with no join, and no tie to speak of— the piece of jewellery looks as if it’s simply been melded shut upon his very flesh, as if he’s merely never meant to remove it. Notable points: Etani suffers from anomic aphasia as a result of a rather gruesome accident. He will probably refuse to talk about it. --- Likes Moogles. Jewels. Music. Dislikes Fruit. Alcohol. Sand. About Me as an RPer ■I am located on Balmung. ■I am over 18 years of age. ■I do freestyle posting, most often para-RP because I do get carried away. I will typically try to post-to-match, but if you do nothing but one-liners, I may settle on something more moderate. I do not mind your post style, so long as your posts have interesting content I can respond to. I would ideally like to find other para-RPers, but I'm not picky! I just don't think my writing comes across well in one-liners, and it leaves me a bit antsy. ■I'm able to roleplay in-game, over Discord, over Skype, or through RPC private messages. Etani has taken up employment as a performer at the Waderer's Elysium, where he has amassed a small fanclub. He performs at every event, and he's known for his rather daring dance moves. He tends not to hold back, and he knows how to leave an impression. If you would like for your character to be a past client, or a patron who might have paid for a private performance in the past - let me know! I'm always happy for these plots, and connections, because they're always fantastic! ■ Enemies Enemies are always welcome, pending certain conditions. I will not roleplay permanent character death, but I'm more than happy to have Etani hurt, maimed, tortured, or (temporarily) imprisoned. I do prefer for these things to be discussed beforehand, but Etani is a courtesan. He is not a fighter. It's natural he would not have the upper hand in an altercation, but that isn't to say he would be easy to take advantage of. I'm happy to roll random, or to discuss things beforehand if that's the route you'd like to take! ■ Family? Etani's clan was lost to him a good long while ago, and he's let himself believe that they have passed on. I would be willing to have characters as his siblings, cousins, or just as people who knew of his mother, and his clan. They were a close knit (albeit small) group in the North Shroud, known for collecting and pawning semi-precious stones to the nearby towns. ■ Past connections? I am open to past connections with some discussion to work out the details and my permission given, if you would rather have some pre-established foundation for our characters to build upon rather than starting fresh. This includes childhood friends from the Shroud, other Keeper clans who might know of the Sedis. Other characters who might have been involved in the slave trade, especially surrounding Ul'dah, could easily have heard his name before, and might just know of his penchant for using his fangs a little too much!
