Physical Training:

Preferences/Strengths: Jariana is first and foremost a swordswoman, with supplementary training to support her general usefulness as a front-line battlefield fighter. Her style has been described as a 'brutal dance', her strikes always efficient and well measured, balancing power and speed.

Aversions/Weaknesses: She can fire an arrow... sorta... in a general direction... at times. Maybe. While she is well trained in grappling, she is no pugilist, as fighting with one's fists is not terribly effective against armor in her mind.

Historical Basis of Fighting Style: Jari's style is based on the German School of Swordplay following the traditions of master Johannes Liechtenauer through masters Sigmund Ringeck and Hans Talhoffer. Her training is meant to represent the full gamut of a 15th century man-at-arms, as described by Talhoffer's works and other sources. A visual reference of the style can be found here and here. While the example is limited to longsword techniques, the general feel of it can be seen.
