+ | She had several arranged marriages coordinated with the help of her step-mother. The marriages would cancel as the suitors died within months even weeks away from the wedding date. The following is a list of those who were publically announced to wed her.
+ | |||
+ | Chadugan Dotharl (who was known as ‘the widower’.) He had several wives before who had died in various ways unrelated to him directly. This Dotharl that was to marry Khuulan died when he fought in an assumed duel observed from a distance. The duelist has not been named or found.
+ | |||
+ | Muukhoi Dotharl from the tribe was chosen to replace Chadugan. However within a week he was discovered dead, thought to have been thrown from his horse and died from a sustained neck injury and head trauma. He was related to the Khan of the Dotharl albeit distantly. Many suspect foul play, as he was an excellent rider.
+ | |||
+ | Bogorchu Tumet. This suitor a month before to marry her got into a duel with a Dotharl outside of Reunion. He lost the duel and succumbed to his injuries. It is rumored the challenger was someone related to Muukhoi.
+ | |||
+ | Bayarmaa Oronir, distantly related to Khuulan by blood (roughly 5th cousins.) He was killed in an honor duel with a Dotharl near the Dusk Throne. The reason for said duel is unclear, though it is thought to be the same Dotharl who challenged Bogorchu before.
+ | |||
+ | These are the most well known and also the known ones who had arranged marriages with Khuulan. Several others who were rumored to pursue her had disappeared or died through mysterious circumstance, however this cannot be verified.
+ | |||
+ | Several things happened not long after. Khuulan's role in her clan/tribe shifted from a hunter and performer to go on raids and assist in those. In one such raid however, she was ambushed and taken captive briefly by some Buduga. Her two older brothers fought to free her and though successful both died from their injuries. She was soon 'sent' on her pilgrimage out from the Steppe to travel to the West to Eorzea.

General Information Born to the Qalli tribe. A tribe known as the 'Songbirds of the Steppe', Khuulan was raised up and groomed to become someone's bride. This, was because of a marriage between her mother, an Oronir, and her father. It was thought that she would be groomed to become the bridge of an Oronir, however as fate would have it the circumstances changed. She was sent away on a quest, on a journey west of self discovery. Eventually, she returned to the tribe which had changed since she left. Now the daughter of a Khan (a princess equivalently) she had more autonomy to choose her partner. So she takes to being a caged bird no longer and instead flutters free about where ever the wind or her mood takes her. Thus, it is why she is see often in Eorzea, seeking people who she knew during her travels to reunite with them once again. Appearance

- ● Yol Call: With her voice alone, Khuulan is able to call for her Yol. She has such a mastery with her voice, or the Yol is so highly trained, that it no longer requires a whistle to guide it's actions. However, the Yol whistle is needed when her Yol is afar. (In Character)
- ● Viscous Song of Mockery: On use; Sharp tongue and sharp wit, Khuulan taps into her bardic song through her voice passively to cause damage to the phyche, which either can be used to: Intimidate, Cajole, or Goad an opponent. This is a trick with her song, and is one that can disorient and unbalance, though strong willed individuals can resist. (roll vs roll, defender losing gains -100 to any 3 rolls vs. Khuulan of Khuulan's chosing.) (Mostly a vs. NPC, but if allowed can be used vs. Player Characters.) These rolls are non-combat only rolls.
- ● Perfect Pitch: Passive ability; Khuulan always can strike the proper note in a song due to the many years of singing as a Qalli and the training as a bard. This affords her to always sing in whichever chord or note she can sing within her range, unless her voice is damaged or intentionally failing. (Passive +300 to performing: Singing)
- ● Animal Empathy: Passive ability; Due to the many years upon the steppe and in the presence of animals, Khuulan has a pacifying aura about her and can befriend neutral and friendly creatures. To calm hostile creatures, Roll vs Roll (Or DC decided by storyteller).
- ● Fast-Track: Active ability; As a hunter on the Steppes for many years, Khuulan had learned basic survival, including advanced levels of tracking. She did it so often growing up, she gained a keen eye for detail. For spotting tracks (either forensic evidence, or simply footprints/animal prints) passive +200 to her rolls. However, because of the focus, she might lose situational awareness (-200 to all rolls).
- ● Mosquito's Bite: Activated ability; Learning to draw a weapon quickly, Khuulan can do so in the blink of an eye and attack in the same instance. Concealed weapons gain in the first attack with them a +200 to hit. This can only happen once per combat action. Once the knives are visible, they can be tracked. The knife however, is not seen but felt in the following turn after the first defense.
- ● Two Weapon Fighting: Passive Ability; Due to her size, Khuulan has learned to fight using not just a primary weapon, but also a secondary. When wielding two weapons (One light, one normal sized, or both light) she can perform a Florentine action to increase her defense at the expense of offense and vice versa. This can only happen in increments of 50 to a maximum of + or - 300. (-300 to defense for attack and vice versa), the penalties carry over into the next roll until the amounts changed in the following turn.
- ● Acrobatic Fighting: Passive Ability; Due to her many years of dance and acrobatics, she incorporates it into her fighting style. This affords her greater movement and astounding acrobatic feats. Thus, she suffers no penalties for using the bow or any large weapon (two handed or otherwise) in close range.
- Willing to work with any system. The above is outlined as more so within the rolling system in FF14. However, if the character can be adapted properly I am willing to try almost anything.
History . Disclaimer: First and foremost, this is all OOC information to people who have not spoken to Khuulan and had her lay her past out to them. With exception only to those who frequented the Steppes and were keyed in on maidens to be wed off and politics upon the Steppe. With the events happening before Stormblood, this would mostly pertain only to Xaela characters and a few Raen part of the Malaguld tribe. If you think your character would know of her circumstances, please send a tell for permission. If you wanted to tie your character's story with mine, also please send me a tell for permission so we can make it work ICly.
