− | Upon taking a quest from Baderon San | + | Upon taking a quest from Baderon San, I found myself in a forest village known as Gridania, seeking out the keeper of the inn, whose name is known as Mother Miounne, for assistance. I normally would not trouble other people, but I find myself still terrified of this unknown land. Mother Miounne is a very kind elezen that takes care of people, like myself, who are new to Gridania. After listening to my request, she informed me she had the perfect person for the task of guiding me and instructed me to enjoy the town as she sent word. I departed with my carbuncle, Shimmer, after she directed me to the market. The market was so much fun! I hid among the crowd looking at the beautiful jewelry til I made my way outside to rest on some crates. It was not long after questioning Shimmer on the whereabouts of my guide, when he appeared before me. He was a Rean just as I am! My heart stopped for a moment as time stood still, for I could not believe there are others of my kind here. He was very tall with dark skin that made his eyes shine like the northern hawks of Othard. His weapon of choice is a bow, and his armor was that of an archer. |

This place was as thick as any forest I have ever seen in central Othard. Fortunately, we found a small camp on our travels. Though I found their jewelry to be less than glamorous, the merchants were very kind. I hurried through my shopping (sort of) so that the-ever-so-patient Hariken and I could continue walking deeper into the woods. With his guidance and protection, we were able to lay low the plant monsters. As the last one fell a sudden CRACK sounded around us. The land shook and trembled as the birds took to sky and the beasts of land froze with fear. The next thing I knew, I was being yelled at to run! I was beside myself! Run!? Out of everything I must endure, running is one I loath the most. So hard on my clothes and unbecoming of my upbringing. Yet, I did as I was told and followed my guide. In no time we settled on the outskirts of another small camp. Upset and cross, I let my temper fly upon poor Hariken as he tried to reason with me informing me of how his people were taken over by the group called Garleans. Upset with myself and what had happen, tears soon took hold. |
− | Hariken, | + | Hariken, though I'm sure he is not, reminds me of a close friend I had growing up. This childhood friend's name and face is now a blur as I fight to recover my hazed memories, I can not help but think of this person as I converse with Hariken. Out of instinct I pleaded with him to never leave me behind and, feeling that all too familiar kindness, referred to him in a informal name. Oddly enough the moment the words "Onichan" left me, he turned away. Confused and worried I looked onto him, only to be reassured that I did not offend him. |
We returned to the to the Gardana inn to rest at the tables before I turned my report over to Mother Miounne. As much as I didn't want to part ways with him, I knew we must. Our paths are different, but when will I ever meet an Au ra again? Will my next incounter be as pleasant? Hariken bestow apon me some Gil that would cover my meal cost during my stay. I seen him off with a forced smile to honor my upbringing and not seem selfish. Returning to my room at the inn for the night I was beside myself. For once, since I came to this land, I felt so alone I cried myself to sleep. I pry, let me remember what I have forgotten and bestow apon me my family I have lost." | We returned to the to the Gardana inn to rest at the tables before I turned my report over to Mother Miounne. General Information Kimiko is a very young girl who is normally polite but comes off childish and rude at times due to her age. Adrift and passed out off the shores of Limsa, she was found and taken to the Drowning Wench Inn until she recovered. To repay for the kindness of the people of Limsa, Sakura has committed herself to a variety of tasks (but only those befitting a Miko of the Red Shrine). Appearance
