Born in the North Shroud of Gridania and living alone with his father for most of his life, Kioro grew up to be very timid and shy around outsiders. With the ailment of his father, Kioro was forced out into the world in search of a cure, and with this he eventually overcame his shy nature and learned to be more open with those he met in his travels - especially the ones whom he considered friends. Kioro joined up in the service of The Black Sun Vanguard, where he worked as a young member of the Reapers in search of the cure for his father. This victory was short-lived, however; after the cure - Litoru Aesin - was found, Kioro discovered that his plight was all for naught, and his father passed away only days after the cure was administered. It wasn't long after this that The Vanguard began to crumble due to internal squabbling and Kioro found himself scrambling with the former members in search of some way to re-establish what they had and not lose the only friends he had left.

Kioro is an aloof character, and has been known to shy away from large cities and crowds if only because he feels uncomfortable in the company of others. Being incredibly shy he has found it very hard to make friends, but due to the recent happenings with his father he has forced himself to work with others in order to save the only family he has left. Kioro can often be found in taverns which are distanced from large cities where he searches for other adventurers to aid him in his struggle, albeit reluctantly.
+
What seemed like weeks passed and he, as well as several other members of what Kioro came to refer to as "The Old Vanguard", were called in by one Orin Aduro. Orin, and his brother Cesar offered him an opportunity to expand his knowledge, and with time offer his own wisdom to others in a undertaking that would soon be revealed as the Limsa Lominsa Garden Academy. As the ranks of the academy grew, Kioro stepped down as an instructor to take up the mantle of the Garden counselor, which he still holds to this day while continuing the effort of re-establishing his family's noble house.

He is average size by lalafell standards and somewhat frail thanks to his adventuring lifestyle and his relatively poor eating habits. His sandy-blonde hair, when not tied back, hangs to just above his shoulders and he will often leave his bangs unkempt where they hang over his eyes and sway with the wind as he moves about. He prefers to dress in heavier attire, such as coats due to the harsh elements he has to endure in his lonely journey. During battle he will often dress in hide and studded armor to allow for better mobility.

Some may notice that he wears an oddly-shaped brooch clipped to whatever garment he might be wearing- usually beneath the flags of his collar. It appears to be that of a silver serpent with features much akin to that of a wyvern that clutches a glistening emerald between it's talons. It isn't immediately apparent why the Lalafell keeps such a feminine keepsake on his person, but one could easily assume that it is of great import to him.

===Behavior===
+
Much to Kioro's chagrin, he has been mistaken more than once by others as a female; this often leads to him being hugged tightly by others or simply being ostracized for his feminine appearance. Men and women from the Lioro family have all been known to have fair skin, wide eyes and silken locks. Very few have ever had to toil among the commoners to harden their bodies, leaving them very ambiguous when it comes to the topic of gender. Sadly, even though Kioro has lived most of his life in the wilderness and has worked hard at toning his form, the one thing he couldn't change about himself was that his eyes are the color of lavender; a common trait shared with females in the Lioro family, but never males until the fateful day of his birth.

Kioro is very shy, and often times will go out of his way to avoid confrontation entirely, and if forced into it will stutter more often than not. Only around friends, and those he can trust, does he feel safe enough to relax and just talk about things. He is a gentle soul and would mean no harm to anyone, going so far to offer his support to others, even during his trial. When there is an obvious threat to those he cares for, he's the first to show his distaste and spring to action.

His gentle nature, however, gets him in trouble more often than not. Kioro tends to be far too trusting of others and due to his naivety can often times be made do things that could endanger his life simply out of hopes of finding a cure for his father, or making a new friend.
+
Kioro is a very shy and timid Lalafell, due in large part to being raised in the forests of Gridania, away from the bustling city streets and market stalls of the trade districts. With the help of his friends and family in the Black Sun Vanguard and eventually the Garden of Limsa Lominsa, Kioro better learned how to steel himself and control his emotions. Even still, the young Lalafell can still be brought to blush very easily, especially when he has a strong emotional attachment to the person who is teasing him. He is apt to stammer and trip over his words when embarrassed and because of this prefers small gatherings to large meetings and get-togethers where the chances of him being called out and embarrassed are far less likely. When confronted in a crowded area, the noble is quick to withdraw, and eventually vanish into the crowd at the first opportunity.

Kioro has also been known to be very impressionable, which has been noted on several occasions where he has borrowed words and phrases from people whom he holds in high esteem. Much to his chagrin, however, simply parroting these or further attempting to incorporate them into his vocabulary tend to lead to raised eyebrows and embarrassing moments for all involved. Despite his kindness, shy undertones, and morals ingrained in him by his father, Kioro is a Lioro at heart. He has, on occasion, shown a darker side of himself, especially when it comes to riches, fame, lust, and violence. Most of these aspects of his personality he keeps under wraps and away from the eyes of all but only his closest friends and family members. This fact is further complicated by how susceptible he is to the influence of others.
Kioro is an average archer at best, learning much from his father and his life as a huntsman. Despite this, he has learned a lot in his search for Litoru Aesin and his slowly approaching his father's skill with the bow. The agile Lalafell much prefers wearing lighter armor, and as such uses his speed of movement and lithe form to weave through enemies and allies alike on the battlefield. Although he has learned the basics of stealth, he fails at using it for anything more than listening in on lewd conversations and sneaking out of taverns without paying his tab.

==Tendencies==
+
With the loss of his father, Kioro became increasingly clingy, and craves the affection of those around him - particularly his lover. Most of all, he hates the idea of being left alone again, having already been abandoned by his mother as a child, and now by his father in death. He doesn't want to lose those he holds dear to him, and is often-times very selfish and even overbearing with those he falls deeply in love with. Because of this, Kioro is known to become jealous very easily, especially when he's afraid that there's a possibility where his lover could be stolen away from him. This does tend to be a double-edged sword in that due to how eager he is to receive affection and give it in turn, he's found himself in uncomfortably close relationships with other boys.

His only family are his mother and father. His mother, whom he knows nothing of, left his father when Kioro was only the age of six. His father, Teroro, sunk into a deep depression, but always did his best to give his son the best life he could offer him as they lived alone in the forests of Gridania. The only keepsake that Kioro has of his mother is a brooch she left behind, and his father hasn't spoken of her since, leaving Kioro completely in the dark on the subject.

+
After the fall of the Vanguard and the death of his father, Kioro felt it wise to leave his past behind him. With what little knowledge he had about defensive fighting he took up the mantle of a lancer and enrolled in the lancer's guild. With time, Kioro would learn how to position himself, and how he could manipulate fights in his favor with agile footwork and rapid strikes. With the teachings of Ywain fresh in his mind, he set his sights on old enemies, and the rivalry that had sparked between the Lioro family all those cycles ago.

He isn't that great at making friends, yet he has met a few interesting people in his adventures that just may be strong allies.
+
With the passage of time, and as his lust for knowledge grew, Kioro began to dabble in thaumaturgy and alchemy to further enhance his skill-set. Oddly enough, his progression was rapid, and he was quick to learn how to manipulate and draw from both his own aether, and that around him. As time went on he developed a fascination with aetherweaving and how how to further channel his own aether to increase his destructive potential without weakening himself in the process. One could only speculate as to why he has an almost natural affinity towards aether.

===Lioro Family Timeline===
+
[[category:Character Stub]]
The Lioro family line can be traced back to Ul'dah, both before and after the battle at Carteneau. Ororo Lioro, the first in the Lioro family line, was a wealthy fur-trader whom peddled rare and exotic animal pelts which were supplied by seedy huntsmen and poachers that were infamous around the world of Eorzea; especially those whom worked out of Gridania. Ororo made a name for himself, and became one of the richest tradesmen by peddling his ill-earned goods to weavers, leatherworkers, and the higher-class citizens of Ul'dah, and in doing so secured his house for many decades to come. Although Ororo wasn't directly involved in the battle that took place, it is written in the family history that much of his wealth was used to aid the war effort. Ororo wed Ixrixxi Krixxi and gave birth to both Koyoro Lioro and Polioro Lioro.

Koyoro, seeking to bring honor to his family's shady past, quickly took it upon himself to join The Bronze Blades and was stationed near Blackbrush. Polioro became a skilled weaver and her designs and colors were celebrated by the more well-to-do of Ul'dah. Koyoro, upon seeing his sister's fame, and the fact that she continued to use her father's connection with known criminals infuriated him. The rivalry between the two siblings came to a head when Koyoro threatened Polioro, stating that he would use everything in his power to stop her from soiling the family's name by her supporting poachers and black-market tradesmen. Polioro was outraged by this, and took the matter to her father.

Ororo didn't take kindly to his son's threats-- he knew this would lead to action by The Blades, and tension between Ul'dah, Gridania, and by proxy would sully any trade agreements he had, in turn halting the supply of furs from Gridania, and otherwise. Enraged at this, Ororo disowned his son, despite Koyoro having good intentions at heart. Koyoro, feeling that he had shamed his family, left Ul'dah and the Blades behind, using what little coin he had to purchase passage to Gridania where he would live out the rest of his life in peace, and wed a young plainsfolk girl by the name of Mirara Mira.

Koyoro and Mirara lived happily on the outskirts of Gridania. Koyoro took up the trade of carpentry and built a small homestead in South Shroud where the two lived out their life, free of worry, and happily trading supplies with the city and the countless traders that passed through South Shroud to stop at Buscarron's tavern. Late in their life, Mirara gave birth to Koyoro's only son, Teroro.

During this time, Polioro continued to amass a small fortune from her craft, and as Ororo grew older, his health began to decline. Having only one child, now, he left his home, and all of his valubales to his daughter, leaving nothing for his son but harsh words. Roughly two cycles after the birth of Teroro, Ororo passed away, and Polioro became the lady of Chateau D'Lioro.

Using her abundant wealth, Polioro staffed her beautiful home with guards, especially favoring adventurers. Polioro was known to be rather lewd, outspoken, and raunchy with those she hired. Her lecherous lifestyle led her to take many lovers, and in doing so she had three children: Poporo, Tyoro, and Ryxioro. Little did she know that the lewd life that she led would quickly become her downfall, and jealousy of the three remaining bastard heirs would destroy all that the Lioro family had built in the ongoing years.

Despite the trouble brewing for the family proper in Ul'dah, things fared much better for Koyoro, Mirara, and their child Teroro in South Shroud. Koyoro taught his son much about the art of woodworking and surviving in the wilderness. Skins, once again, became a staple for the Lioro family; not to turn a profit, but for clothing and armor, weaved by Mirara. As Teroro grew and learned much under the tutelage of his father, he became more and more interested in the forest, and defending it-- this curiosity would lead the young lalafell to take up the bow and join the God's Quiver bowmasters, despite his father's obvious distaste. At the age of only fifteen cycles, Teroro set out to the city of Gridania to train with the archer's guild, and expand his knowledge of ranged combat.

Teroro trained for several cycles with the archers, and soon became one of their own. Poporo, Tyoro, and Ryxioro bickered among themselves as to who would become the one true owner of Chateau D'Lioro as their mother lay sick, and dying from an ailment that healers could only identify as a potent toxin. Strong herbal medicine could easily cure their mother, but the three siblings cared little, for they were only interested in the wealth, and the estate of their mother, thus they were far less interested in her current state of health-- t'would be far better she die, they thought, for then they could argue over how to divvy her coffers. Polioro grew weaker, and eventually died, despite her efforts to send adventurers after the medicine she required.

Rumors milled through the taverns stating that it was naught but jealousy that did her in, and that she was poisoned by one of the very same men she shared her bedchambers with.

The three siblings each took their share of their mother's wealth, and due to their immense greed and indecision, sold the manor home and split the profits before each going their separate ways. Since then, nothing has been heard of the three.

During his time in Gridania, Teroro met with a plainsfolk lass by the name of Mikoko Miko who spun tales of her adventures in the realm. Her honeyed words sparked the spirit of wanderlust in the heart of Teroro, and he quickly became infatuated with the girl; so much so that he lost all interest in the guild, and his chance to join the Quiver just to court the beautiful lalafell. Mikoko showed him the world outside of the embrace of the forests of Gridania, and the two shared many journeys with one another, and several cycles passed before they decided to seal their love with a formal marriage. Koyoro would see his son one final time at the marriage ceremony, before passing only weeks later from natural causes. Mirara, stricken with grievance, accepted Teroro's offer to move into the city, where he would purchase a small home for her there, among the company of others where she could work her trade and live out the final years of her life. Mirara knew that there was nothing she could say to stop her son from leaving again, and that Mikoko meant much more to him now than she, or his father ever could. Teroro and Mikoko left the city of Gridania once more for two cycles, and in that time Mirara passed away.

Teroro and Mikoko finally returned to New Gridania upon catching word of his mother's passing. He knew his age was beginning to show, and that it was time for the two to settle down and have a family of their own. They moved into the small cabin which had now been taken back by the forest; vines and weeds littered the walls of the small abode, but with a bit of effort Teroro cleared it away and with a little help from Mikoko expanded the homestead where they lived happily and Mikoko bore a son for Teroro, whom they named Kioro.

Teroro was delighted with the fact that their first born was a male-- it was his chance to teach Kioro the art of the bow, and hopefully have him join the Quiver, and in turn allowing him to live out his dream through his son. Kioro was very obedient to his father's wishes, and in time became an adept huntsman at the young age of twelve cycles. Trouble was brewing in the homestead, however, as Mikoko would soon become jealous of the attention Teroro was giving their son, and her interest in their lifestyle soon began to wane. One night, as Kioro slept quietly in the side room of the home, Mikoko met with Teroro, and with only a few simple words, broke up their family forever.

"I'm bored of this life."

Was all that she said, before gently kissing him and placing her brooch into one of his hands. Teroro was shocked, so much so that he couldn't bring himself to stop her. He watched as the love of his life walked out into the cold of night, only to disappear in the thick forest. This event changed Teroro entirely, and despite Kioro's curious nature, and constant questioning, he could never convince his father to speak of his mother, or where she had left to-- he only knew that she was gone, and he would never see her again.

Appearance

He is average size by lalafell standards and somewhat frail thanks to his adventuring lifestyle and his relatively poor eating habits. His golden-blonde hair, when not tied back, is feathered, wild, and dances with the wind. Kioro, while once intent on dressing in heavier woolen attire to supplement his adventuring lifestyle, now much prefers lighter clothes fashioned from richer materials such as velveteen and Allagan silk. Kioro is an average archer at best, learning much from his father and his life as a huntsman. With the teachings of Ywain fresh in his mind, he set his sights on old enemies, and the rivalry that had sparked between the Lioro family all those cycles ago.

History/Timeline

The Lioro family history ranges back to several cycles before the battle at Cartenau. It will be truncated and scribed here in all due time.
