Lucaell Tareth'eian (Lu-kell Taret-Eyan), also known as Lucile Townsend, is a young secretive street musician with a thing for blue items, archery, mercenarism and naps. Your archetypal adventurer - with a twist. The girl is a traveler. She is mostly seen in Ul'dah, occasionally in Gridania, and rarely (if not never) in Limsa Lominsa.

OTHER

Alias: Luka, Lulu, Caell, Lucy
Nameday: 25th Sun of the Sixth Umbral Moon
Guardian: Thaliak, The Scholar
Alignment: True neutral
Vice(s): Idleness, recklessness, relative vanity
Favorite Food: Roasted pepper bells
Favorite Drink: Ginger beer
Favorite Color: Ice blue
Other: Individualist. Apparently not really prejudiced against other races, other Hyurs often think of her as naïve.

Appearance & Personality

Fair skin, snowy hair, odd eyes. Lucaell is of almost average build and average height - she does enough outdoors activities to be fit, but isn't really brawny. Pretty yes, but only through relative efforts. Like most performers, the girl takes care of her appearance daily, and behind the cosmetics, any eye can see an ordinary, plain, mundane round face. If it wasn't for the powder, Caell's face would be easily forgotten.
She is as pale as a ghost and acts like one. The girl's expressions are absolutely neutral. She's extremely hard to read and, although understanding humor and using it quite often (in her own way), is rarely seen laughing out loud after a good joke. There are times she just spaces out. She's soft-spoken, her voice is rather high-pitched, but she always speaks in a slow, hushed, almost monotonous tone. To top the cold beauty trope, the girl's words are sometimes disturbingly cryptic.
The girl has nerves of steel and is a patient being in general. The façade is thick and well built: she will keep her head cool in almost all situations. It takes a lot to make her openly uncomfortable, angry, or overjoyed, and can be slightly frustrating for people looking for/expecting strong reactions. Luca is outgoing and an absolute extrovert. She is a people person, enjoys long discussions and tries to launch debates every time she is able to do so. She can be surprisingly opinionated at times, but is always willing to consider other viewpoints. In the same manner, she tends to over-think many things. Coupled with her laziness, she can become quite the indecisive character. She's perceptive, but then again, her ability to doubt things, anything at all, can be either rewarding or a huge waste of time.
She's fascinated by outer beauty and colors, and tends to always compliment people at random, especially strangers. Good at dealing with kids and elders.

Present

The girl is most often seen in Ul'dah. According to her, she visited the city for the first time three years ago or so. She's been an adventurer since then, but definitely the lazy kind. Only taking contracts when large sums of money are absolutely needed in the week or when she sees a new instrument she'd like, she prefers to play music to put bread on the table in general.

RUMORS

Some of these rumors might be untrue or greatly exaggerated.

◢ Common Rumors (Easily overheard)
"She's often seen playing outside for gils, with an instrument like... A guitar maybe?" "A mandolin." "Yeah, whatever. She's skilled. And cute. I'm digging the pigtails."
"Of course 'Lucaell Tareth'eian' isn't her real name, dumb ass."
"Well, I am worried after all. I mean, the girl keeps sleeping at the most unusual places. What's up with her?"

◢ Moderate Rumors (Moderately difficult to overhear)
"I heard she was playing at parties for upper-class folks! And that they're being hella generous, too." "What, really?" "Check out her boots, you really think that they're something you can pay by stroking some guitar strings in the street?" "Mandolin." "That's what I said."
"Perfect pitch. Yes. That's certain."
"Trading information for money is not a rare thing, you know. I don't see why she wouldn't do it. You hear a lot of things when you spend hours in the streets, or near drunken people from all kind of social standings."
"I've seen her outside Ul'dah. She's not a master of archery, but definitely an excellent student. She can't possibly be self-taught. She had some training."

◢ Rare Rumors (Very difficult or rarely overheard)
"You're never going to believe this. Lucaell's real name is Lucile Townsend, right? I heard that she was called Lucaell Tareth'eian because of her terrible handwriting. When she registered at the Adventurer's guild, people read her name that way on the journal, and started to refer to her as such. She doesn't seem to mind the name, but I'm not sure she wants people to know about the handwriting thing, I mean... To think she's trying to make us swallow it's some kind of spiritual title or whatever!"
"Well, technically, she is engaged. Her mother is a despicable woman, though. There's not doubt about it being an arranged marriage. I'd want to run away from home if I were her, too. Merchant families are no fun, sometimes. Especially when it comes to climbing the social ladder. It's all about contracts and trading. Even with their kids. Ew."
