Azeyma General Information Mai is a young Raen girl who travels across the realm, seeking adventures and opportunities to further strenghten her skills. She tries to help people whenever she possibly can. Her big black eyes emphasize her face even more so. Physique & Markings Mai is comparatively small and doesn't feature any extraordinary markings. Hygiene & Attire Mai is a very clean person. She is often seen visiting various bathing locations. Her clothing style is more traditional, be it classic scholar attire or far eastern garbs from home. Personality Psychological Profile Mai is usually seen having a clear and fixated mind. She doesn't lose her composure all too quick and can calm down rather fast. At times she can be seen day-dreaming a lot, usually when she's on her own. Voice Mai has a rather soft and quiet voice. She rarely is seen having a discussion and would rather just keep her mouth shut, arguing not being a strength of hers. Being somewhat timid she also rarely starts conversations on her own, but can get more talkative once she grows more attached to a person. Philosophy & Mannerisms Mai sees herself as a helper of people in need. Whenever she sees someone is hurt she won't hesitate to help out. She is usually seen as very polite person and knows how to behave around different kinds of people. History Mai was born in Doma, however she didn't stay there for long. Due to the neverending conflicts her parents took her to Kugane, from where they eventually took a ship towards Eorzea. Her family eventually stepped foot in Limsa Lominsa, building their own residence in the Mist. Due to her parents sickness she eventually started studying the arcane arts at the Arcanist Guild in Limsa Lominsa, seeking a cure for her parents. However she didn't succeed in her endeavour and her parents eventually died in her early ages. This was the most notable crisis in her life. Seeing how she failed to provide support to her parents she stepped up her studying, promising herself to never fail again in helping someone in need. Mai expanded her studying locations and eventually became attached to adventures, always soaking in more knowledge of the world. One day she eventually stumbled upon a book about Nym, the ancient civilization. Being hooked about this story she eventually started diving deeper into the topic, visiting various landmarks connected to Nym, namely The Wanderer's Palace and The Floating City of Nym. One day as she was researching the palace, she happened to meet a Lalafell named Alka Zolka. This event eventually changed her life in the long run. Not knowing who he is she didn't bother speaking to him right away, however her curiosity eventually triumphed and she asked him out, on what he'd be doing at this ancient place. Alka Zolka explained to her and eventually hired Mai as his student, seeing how interested and fixated she was on researching Nym. One day Mai ventured into the ruins of Nym to further deepen her research while Alka was providing assistance to her. They eventually stumbled upon various Nymian documents and other artifacts which they carried back to Limsa. It was then that they both discovered they found something very valuable. Upon clearing their bags a crystal plummetted out of it. Between all the documents they gathered was a very specific artifact, the soulstone of a Nymian scholar. Seeing how Mai was so focused on her researches Alka Zolka eventually gifted it to her, knowing she would have a better use for it. That is when Mai learned about the arts of scholary and yet another milestone formed in her life. With the ongoing assistance from Alka she now would dive even deeper into Nymian history and the arts of a scholar. She would return to the Far East occasionally to venture through the regions and discover all the places she couldn't see as child, never stopping her researches. She'd buy a house in Shirogane to call her home whenever she visits. Disclaimer: The stories might not always be 100% conform to the lore and lore bending will likely happen here and there. In Recent Times Moving Forward Mai is currently venturing through Eorzea.
