Azeyma General Information Mai is a young Raen girl who travels across the realm, seeking adventures and opportunities to further strengthen her skills. She tries to help people whenever she possibly can. Her big black eyes emphasize her face even more so. Physique & Markings Mai is comparatively small and doesn't feature any extraordinary markings. Hygiene & Attire Mai is a very clean person. She is often seen visiting various bathing locations. Her clothing style is more traditional, always having a stylistic touch from home. Personality Psychological Profile Mai is usually seen having a clear and fixated mind. She doesn't lose her composure all too quick and can calm down rather fast. At times she can be seen day-dreaming a lot, usually when she's on her own. Voice Mai has a rather soft and quiet voice. She rarely is seen having a discussion and would rather just keep her mouth shut, arguing not being a strength of hers. Being somewhat timid she also rarely starts conversations on her own, but can get more talkative once she grows more attached to a person. Philosophy & Mannerisms Mai sees herself as a helper of people in need. Whenever she sees someone is hurt she won't hesitate to help out. She is usually seen as very polite person and knows how to behave around different kinds of people. History Mai was born in Doma, where she grew up with her parents. Even with the neverending conflicts going on, they all tried to live a rather normal life, making the best out of the situation they were in. She'd play with the other children and overall would enjoy some rather peaceful years. This so called peace would soon be destroyed however, as the conflicts reached a new high and Doma was attacked once again. During the attack Mai was told to hide and not leave her hideout under any circumstance until the conflict was over. Scared of the whole situation she did as told and hid ... waiting and waiting. Even after the sounds of weapons clashing calmed down she wouldn't move out of her hiding space. It was a whole while later that another citizen of Doma discovered her hideout and told her it is safe to come outside again. However that attack caused a lot of bloodshed, many lifes were lost that day, including that of Mai's parents. She was told that her parents tried their best to protect her and block off the way towards her hideout. This was the point in time where Mai decided she had to do something. She couldn't just sit here and do nothing about the conflict. Even if they perhaps could never solve the conflicts, she atleast would like to be as helpful as possible. So Mai started getting trained in the arts of a lancer, soon wielding her spear rather reliably. As an opportunity arised she'd flee towards Kugane, knowing that there would be means to travel towards Eorzea. Having heard about the lancer guild in Gridania she decided that it would be the best place to get started with enhancing her skills. So Mai travelled to Eorzea and further towards Gridania where she eventually continued training in the lancers guild. She would also take missions from the adventurers guild for a means to earn some gil. After the conflicts involving the Dragonsong War calmed down, Mai would travel towards Ishgard, hoping she could learn more about lancing, afterall Ishgard was known for their dragoons, wielders of spears aswell. During her training in and around Ishgard she'd return to Doma occasionally, helping with the reconstrunction of her beloved home however she could. Mai would never forget the events she had witnessed, losing her parents and almost her home. She'd visit the grave whenever she was home, mourning but also reminding herself that this event strengthened her in the end. She might have never picked up training weaponskills if it weren't for this happening. Even today Mai would continue her training wherever she was, her lance always at hand, chasing after her goals. In Recent Times Moving Forward Mai is currently situated in Ishgard, having rent an inn room.
