Just a few cycles ago he would have been another dumb grump with an axe looking for whatever work got him some gil. He earned a small reputation for being a surly bastard around Limsa, until a chance meeting (supposedly “fate”) would set him on a course to the man he is today. A stark contrast of the past, he is now a “well mannered” young man trying to solidify his purpose. He’s awkward, lacks propriety, misses a lot of things right in front of him, but damn if he isn’t determined to enjoy life and make friends. Somehow.

Personality and Appearance

N’taeyl is honest and generally fairly upbeat. For those he doesn’t know he may be a bit more reserved, and for those he’s familiar with he tries to be perky and smile, even if it makes him look a little ridiculous. He’s not that graceful but he’s far from without wisdom, and if he thinks he can help by sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong, he’s probably going to.

Unbeknownst to him, his time hanging around crowded areas and eavesdropping on people has actually taught him well. Mostly. He listens to people well but is generally quick to point out the obvious, which is sometimes really helpful, and other times probably just annoying. When he feels like he might get along well with someone he may get attached to them fairly easily.

He does little to maintain his hair and is often at the mercy of his hand plowing through it. He’s roughly an average height and build, though in the middle of improving his physique. His gear of choice is a solid metal axe and a slim assortment of armor, and he’s prowling around for lighter armor substitutes. His casual clothing is pretty much anything that's publicly decent and comfortable, and generally loose. Shirts, sleeveless or otherwise, and he almost always wears his loose trousers. He doesn't own very expensive or proper clothing and is sometimes worried he may be offending someone with his attire in more proper company.

How you might know him

He worked as a mercenary in Limsa for several years following the Calamity, and was an ass. He’d do jobs for anyone, unless he thought they were stupid.
After that, he worked in a bookstore under Zeraia’s direction. A legitimate business with a large selection, but those that deal in darker things may know some secrets. (Ask OOC)
Currently, he ‘works’ at the Rendezvous in the Goblet as a host. He’s rarely been active on opening nights however, but he totally works there.
