Panther Pridewright is allegedly the bastard son born from a La Noscea prostitute. He is sometimes also called Pan and, derogatorily, Chore Boy. He is reportedly a first rate chef at The Quicksand in Ul'dah, although few have actually tasted his cooking and his true occupation there remains unknown, as he appears to be forced to do random chores, be the brunt of abuse from superiors, and constantly be punished for wildly unsuccessful flirtation with the guests. Ultimately, little is known about his origin and ethnicity.

Appearance

Panther is a young and slender Hyur, nearly six fulms tall, with dark brown shaggy hair and a scruffy chin. Despite his unkempt appearance, Panther insists on wearing clean clothes and regal clothes or drapes, claiming that it is "second nature" to him and something that he's done "ever since he was a child". Despite his reputation, Panther will sometimes show signs of surprisingly immaculate posture and grace when setting tables or handling food, although these moments are brief. There is scar on his left cheek that he is very touchy about.

Personality

Panther is known for not taking himself too seriously, but also having a flair for the needlessly dramatic and theatrical. On multiple occasions he has loudly sought the attention of beautiful Miqo'te women, even going so far as to propose to many in complicated and ostentatious ways even within sight of their lovers. Because of his quick temper and aloof attitude, Panther has often been at the epicenter of bar fights so hectic that Guards of the Immortal Flames have become involved. This has garnered him a very poor reputation with authority figures throughout the city.

Panther insists that he is a first rate chef despite very few, if any, customers ever having tried his cooking. Many can hear his cries for attention while he is waiting tables, washing dishes, or cleaning rooms of the inn, claiming that he is utterly unfit for any work besides cooking.

Aether Attunement and Combat

Panther possesses a minuscule degree of aetherial manipulation, far less than the average Hyur, and is incredibly unwieldy when using magic. Supposedly, Panther has had to travel quite far in the past due to the immense amount of stress it takes for him to align with an Aetheryte Crystal. There was once a report that Panther had allegedly used black magic to assist in his cooking and destroyed The Quicksand kitchen, although there was no empirical evidence of him doing so.

He claims that he was taught how to fence from a very young age, but few have seen him exhibit this skill.
