When not clinking around in chain mail, he is often dressed casually in something that works equally well for relaxation or manual labor. He carries himself confidently, but a near constant look of curiosity and wonder betrays how unaccustomed he is to being outside of the Twelveswood. The same can be said about his personality: as no-nonsense as he likes to present himself, Piers can't help himself when it comes to joking around. Despite his worldly inexperience (or more likely because of it), Piers will sooner stand his ground in an than back down. He hates nothing more than being told he can't do something.

RELATIONS

Romantic Interest     Platonic Love      Good Standing     Poor Standing
Cailleagh Hayward : Piers' younger sister. In the years leading up to the loss of the farm she worked alongside her brother, looking after livestock and helping with the harvest. After moving their parents into the city proper, she started working at a nearby tavern to help pay living expenses. Even though he's began sending money back home, Cailleagh hasn't spoken to Piers since he left the Twelvewood.
J'lyneth Khal : The first friend that Piers made outside of the Twelveswood. After dragging a battered Piers out from underneath a dead Amalj'aa, J'lyneth took it upon herself to make sure that he didn't immediately die from his wounds. It took time, but Piers eventually returned to fighting shape. Since then the two have become an adventuring duo, and it didn't take long for the trust and friendship that Piers found in J'lyneth to grow into a genuine affection for her. The two of them can often be heard bantering late into the night, swapping stories about home and other various misadventures.
Ragnarok Boyd : Ragnarok is the man responsible for getting Piers back on his feet. Being a skilled healer, he mended Piers' broken ribs. Not long after, Ragnarok tasked himself with teaching him how to better wield a blade. Piers holds a strong respect for the him as a mentor.
The Sledge : A Coliseum contender that goes by the name "The Sledge". During his first visit to Ul'dah, Piers had an unfortunate run in with this physically imposing Highlander. Being pestered by some kid was the last thing The Sledge wanted to deal with after yet another harrowing bout in the Coliseum, so he brushed the Gridanian aside with an offhand comment. Naively believing that being told to "go and pick a fight with an Amalj'aa" as actual advice for quick recognition from the guilds, the events that put Piers where he is today were set in motion.
