Rakaso has long, snow white hair that is either tied up into a ponytail or let down onto her shoulders. Her eyes are a pale shade of yellow (Or gold, depending on who you ask). Her skin is a dark blue color, prominent proof of her Duskwight heritage. From what is shown, it is unmarred. Underneath the many layers she wears, however, scars lace about her back and inner legs. Overall, she is fairly slim and possesses little to no muscle tone.

Her aether also causes her healing to feel similar to being dunked in ice water, which many find fairly unpleasant.

Biography

Early Life

Rakaso Haurtafert grew up amongst Wildwood Elezen. Her family treated her as kin, though it was terribly obvious she was unrelated to them. Their pale skin and honey colored hair were obvious contrasts to her dark blue skin and pale white hair. She spent her formative years within Gridania, until tensions against Duskwight rose to an all-time high. A mob struck against her family, slaying her father and barely missing Rakaso and her mother as they escaped. They fled to La Noscea, seeking to get as far as possible from the Shroud. They spent a year slinking from town to town, unable to get work or shelter due to Rakaso's appearance.

Teenage Years

Rakaso and her mother didn't stay free within La Noscea for long. Hearing of a pair of Elezen, one a Duskwight, a band of pirates captured them for their own purposes. Originally planning to sell them as slaves, some of their crew became attached to the novelty of the snowy-haired elezen. Rakaso spent many years under their captivity, and was only rescued when the Maelstrom took action against the crew. By that point, Rakaso's mother had already been slain by the pirates, and Rakaso had already been greatly ravaged.

Returning to the Shroud

During the Maelstrom's raid, a Half-conscious Rakaso fled the cavern. Knowing no other place to go, she made her way back to the Shroud. She spent her journey in a daze, and only truly saw where she was when she found herself approaching the gates of Gridania. It was here that she was approached by the Conjurer's Guild guildmaster, and brought into the fold.
