Behind orange eyes lies a pain most familiar to the people around him, the pain of loss, of being surrounded by death and dismay. And yet. He persists. ❝ Stay with me, alright? Your story doesn't end here. ❞ Appearance Eyes Hair Skin Build Voice Orange-yellow Blonde Pale Athletic Varies; often orotund Bearing Laterality Scars Markings Style Tall and Straight Right Numerous, one facial Multiple scars Light and noble Hair & Eyes Rialian's hair is medium-length, hanging to his collar and usually well-layered, with a bit of unruly hair poking up near its center. His eyes are yellow-to-orange and piercing in their gaze, often difficult to look directly at. He has one facial scar on his left cheek, which nearly reaches his nose. Hints of other scars can be seen right at the edge of his collar. Physique & Markings Rialian stands with the bearing of a front-line leader. He is tall and confident, rarely if ever slouching. He is muscular but only to a limited extent. His body is more built for speed than power, and while he has higher than average strength it is his agility and precision that often wins the day. Were one to see him without a shirt, they would find a criss-cross of many different scars from many different battles. Hardly an ilm of his chest is unscarred, and he has the look of someone with twice his lifespan in battle. He has no visible tattoos or identifying markings. Hygiene & Attire Rialian bathes at least every other day, and keeps a clean visage when available to do so, though he's mostly unaffected by the inability to do so. He seems to have a cologne preference, which comes out to a woody, oriental smell throughout the day - starting with a cinnamon-styled scent and ending on sandalwood. He is usually found in plate armor, which makes his insistence on having a good cologne somewhat peculiar given his usual metallic scent. Clothes outside of his armor vary heavily. Personality Psychological Profile Rialian's outward psychological profile is that of a protector. He speaks in heroic and noble tones, always seeking to inspire those around him to better and better heights. However, just under the surface lies deep and painful emotional scarring, almost solely driven by the loss of his wife and home twenty years ago. Since then he has been a wanderer standing at the front, seeking something new to live for. Voice Rialian's voice generally settles into an orotund pattern, having a full and deep tone designed to draw attention and keep it. He would make an excellent public speaker, and is prone to short inspirational speeches before battle. It is a naturally pleasing voice and is generally easy to listen to without too much trouble. Philosophy & Mannerisms "There must always be heroes." Even in a world where the very concepts of heroism are mocked, Rialian strives to meet them. Throwing his life away is not on the list of actions he desires - in fact, he seems to have a deep dislike of sacrificial tactics and will work to ensure as many come home as possible. While some underlying attraction to the woman does exist, Rialian respects her more for her craft than anything, and she is the creator of virtually all of his equipment. Specifically, her maker's mark sits on his focusing sword and mirror shield, allowing him to be the hunter of angels that he is. Rialian could have spent the rest of his days with Tanwynne, a fiery mage born into a difficult family. What was a childhood friendship blossomed into a passionate romance and eventual marriage. He was her knight, her love, and she was the fire that filled his soul. He would have been happy to die with her engulfed in her final flames, but she never gave him a choice. Yet another lost to those damned Sin Eaters, angels in name only. Her loss twenty years ago set him on the path he walks to this day.
