Color tones can range from dark havana to a lighter shade depending on the season, but always with soft snow-white highlights. Her eyes are best described as robin's egg blue in color, often either inquisitive and focused or lost in thought. Despite her generally shy demeanor, her gaze can be intimidating with how unwavering it is; on the other hand, it also makes her seem more genuine-hearted. Physique & Markings Roe is lean and petite with some muscle tone, but not enough to be considered particularly muscular; more of a (healthfully fed) survivalist’s body type with average proportions for someone of her stature. She has a narrow waist with slightly straighter hips and an average-to-smaller bust (basically she has enough shapeliness to give her a figure, but it’s slight). Hygiene & Attire Roe's style of dress is always functional and usually on the rugged side; you won't find her in elegant finery so much as outdoorsy garments and vestments. Knee-high mountain boots and clothing furnished from soft leathers and durable cloth are among her clothing of choice, which is usually combined in an overall "mori-like" style. As far as personal adornments go, Roe prefers accessories crafted from natural materials such as wood, bone, crystal, feathers, and other semi-precious stones. Although she lives in the forest and dresses accordingly, she does keep herself well-groomed and bathes regularly in the waters of Everschade. Personality Psychological Profile Although Roe has experienced her fair share of hardships, the only particularly traumatic event in her life was witnessing the death of her father. She never knew her mother, but grew up with a loving single father until his untimely demise at the hands of Garlean soldiers when she was 12 summers; Roe was spared a similar fate thanks to her father ensuring she was well-hidden, but unfortunately not beyond the vantage of his murder. In the aftermath of her father's passing she was able to live a difficult but overall happy life supported by seedkin, which she had always had a mysterious bond with, until she became more self-reliant. Her partially wild upbringing and lack of contact with civilization/social norms from her teenage to early adult years has left her with conditions typical of those who are used to life in isolation from such things, but her mental state is more or less vibrant and healthy. Voice Soft-spoken with a medium tone and faintly raspy; her voice claim is singer/songwriter Melanie Martinez; specifically, the music video "Pacify Her" is a great (only vocal) comparison. RP Info Location & Probability Places where Roemi is very likely to be seen: ■ Gridania: High - This is Roemi's allied city-state and she visits frequently to assist its inhabitants or report to summons from the Order of the Twin Adder. Additionally, she is more likely to socialize and have casual interactions with Gridanians comparatively to any other city-state populace. ■ Limsa Lominsa: Fair - Roemi primarily visits Limsa/La Noscea in general as-needed for her duties as a WoL and other niche reasons. Examples could include: - Visiting the beach at Costa del Sol; - Relaxing at Camp Bronze Lake's hot springs; - Vacationing for a day at the Hermit's Hovel; - Gathering regional plants/herbs; or - Simply wandering the area to enjoy its unique coastal environment. ■ Ul'dah: Poor - Neither a fan of the Thanalan area nor the city-state itself, you will only find Roemi in Ul'dah on WoL business, for a special occasion (like an event/festival), or to gather regional plants/herbs. Though she is aware of Thanalan's singular beauty—the unparalleled sunsets, lush oases, local fauna, etc.—the climate doesn't agree with her and she can't stand the often crowded, noisy streets of the city (or its over-abundance of fetid smells, smokes, and perfumes). ■ Ishgard: Fair - Like Limsa, Roemi primarily visits the Holy See for WoL duties; however, between Limsa, Ul'dah, or Ishgard, she vastly prefers Ishgard and enjoys visiting Coerthas for reasons outside life/work necessities. Extremely cold climates are more tolerable to her than extremely hot ones—she spent a good decade of her life in the Dravanian Hinterlands—and the frigid, blustery air keeps what few unpleasant smells surface mainly to the Brume. Since her happenstance introduction to Sharlayan Astromancy, she likes to study the celestial craft when she finds time at the city-state's Athenaeum Astrologicum, or at the First Dicasterial Observatorium of Aetherial and Astrological Phenomena in the central highlands. ■ Idyllshire: Extremely Likely - The Sharlayan's Eorzean city-state was Roemi's home before it was abandoned and subsequently ransacked by treasure hunters, Garlean forces, and Bahamut's wrath. At age 13, in the aftermath of the researchers' exodus and her father's death, she lived under the protection of seedkin at Saint Mocianne's Arboretum (where her father had worked and she spent much of her early youth) until the echo awakened in her 23rd summer. Drawn by whispers from a distant entity, she journeyed from Dravania and returned to her birthplace at Everschade in the Black Shroud; a place she had no prior memory of. Overjoyed now that her old home has been revitalized, she still lives half of the time in the Arboretum and is often seen in the redeveloping city-state. ■ The Black Shroud: Extremely Likely - Roemi's current place of main residence is within the Central Shroud (a "Hermit's Hovel" by the waterfalls in Everschade), and she is very likely to be seen or randomly run-into just about anywhere in the Shroud for any number of reasons. Want to RP with Roemi in a tavern setting? Buscarron's Druthers is a prime location (even though she's not a big drinker) and one where she'd be known as a local by NPCs. Attacked by an enraged Rafflesia? Not only could Roemi quickly pacify the situation, she could find out what's wrong from the distraught seedkin itself. It's highly likely that any RP plot conceived in the Shroud could easily hook her; though that's not to say she wouldn't be interested in more challenging hooks! Affiliations Most of these aren’t public, and would have to be asked after! ■ Gridania: Roemi's allegiance to Gridania is quite apparent (though it is definitely an "outsider's" working relationship), and to anyone that may not be able to discern that by just looking at her, it is not difficult to find out. ■ The Conjurer's Guild: Roemi came to practice conjury and more mundane healing arts either through mysteriously intuitive means, Sharlayan tutors (early childhood), seedkin tutors, or self-study with abandoned Sharlayan texts during her decade of life in the Arboretum/Hinterlands (age 13+). She is not affiliated in any way with the Conjurer's Guild of Gridania, except where her path as a WoL has necessitated interaction. In fact, she has minor disdain for the guild and is skeptical of how some of the non-Padjali Hearers interpret the will of the Elementals. ■ Limsa Lominsa: Roemi has no personal affiliation with Llymlaen's chosen city-state, but her father was a former citizen and studied/resided there when he was not traveling for work in years prior to Roe's birth. ■ Miqo'te Seekers of the Sun Sagolii Desert Hipparion (K) Tribe: Roemi has a life-threatening affiliation with this tribe—her mother K'ami Yoh's tribe. This is unknown even to Roemi, and short of being an actual member of this tribe that knew Roemi's mother and father it is extremely unlikely this information would surface. As a result of a forbidden relationship with Roemi's father that culminated in pregnancy, K'ami and Jakohba "Jacob" Khei (Roemi's Keeper father) eloped. They were hunted ruthlessly by K'ami's elder sister and only pure-blood sibling, K'ari, who finally caught and killed K'ami in a moment of vulnerability (labor) with a poisoned arrow beneath the Guardian Tree mere minutes before Roemi's birth. Enraged and heart-broken, Jacob killed K'ari and attempted to cut Roemi out of her mother's abdomen at K'ami's dying request. Roemi appeared lifeless and was presumed stillborn for several minutes until Jacob, who was clutching his newborn daughter against his chest and wracked with grief, felt a powerful presence. Upon looking back at Roemi, he found her peering up at him curiously, cooing. Fearing pursuit from the K Tribe, Jacob changed his surname to "Everschade", connected with an old Sharlayan contact, and smuggled himself and his daughter to Idyllshire. OOC Note: The above information is entirely based on this player-made lore and the mun's personal spin on part of it; it does not represent official lore and did not involve any of the other players who RP as a part of this tribe. ■ Idyllshire: Roemi's former citizenship with Idyllshire (especially pre-exodus Idyllshire) would be basically impossible to know without her directly telling you (or unless you also lived there once and somehow recognized her as an adult). Finding any kind of recovered Sharlayan artifact on her would sooner be attributed to treasure-hunting than something more. ■ Athenaeum Astrologicum: Roemi studies here sometimes and would be considered a "student" of astromancy. She is only interested in its relationship with aether, astrology, and healing, and does not use her arcana for things like divination or gambling. Her affiliation with the A.A. might be difficult to find out unless you met her there, were stalking her for some time, or met her elsewhere and got to know her a little.
