Rosik Ren

MERCENARY IN SEARCH OF A BETTER TITLE

Standing at 5'4, Rosik is fairly muscular, even for miqo'te standards. She possesses heterochromatic red and blue eyes, and medium-length brown hair with white highlights. In terms of scarring, though some may remember a previous collection, only an old battle scar across her nose, and a bite mark from a hyur of all things on her left shoulder remain. While one of her most notable traits has always been her Red Striped War Paint, these are not entirely permanent, and she's been known to wash them off depending on certain circumstances, notably when something prevents her from being able to fight at any moment, or for special occasions. Her tail always seems to be fluffed, though whether it's from a lack of combing, a natural poof or a conscious, stylistic decision is anyone's guess.

Clothing wise, Rosik tends to favor simple clothing, such as frocks or tunics, normally in shades of green to avoid letting dirt be too noitcable. Recently, she's taken a preference towards spurred boots, though she has been known to wear simple loafers. She's rarely seen without her hat, often even wearing it into battle, and has a tendency towards leather armor, despite owning several sets of plate, and always has red on when prepared for a battle. In terms of jewelry, she almost never takes off her Chocobo Earring, blue runed collar, and red coral bracelets. She ALWAYS carries a large satchel at her hip, and will often avoid any situation which requires her to remove her weaponry.

Videra Svenay ♥ My Loving Dunce
Originally having met through a duel, the two's relationship with each other has been a strange string of rivalry and comradery, until Videra pulled Rosik out of her self-imposed isolation. Since then, the two have been together,though Rosik still has difficulty with any public displays of affection, giving little more than teasing while Videra seemingly annoys her with various other displays.

Having originally met by being brought over to her table by friends of his, Rosik met Gil at a time she had been looking to find out information on how to combat a Dark Knight. Having thought the best way may have been to fight fire with fire, she asked him to instruct her, and over the course of lessons, came to have a dry, mocking humor and understanding towards one another. No one else is allowed to take Rosik's hat as effortlessly as Gil can.

"Lynne"

Considered by its wielder to be a fine balance between Practicality and Sheer force, Rosik had decided to name Lynne after its creator, Mara Lynne, whom considers the weapon to be her most well made. The Black and gold blade was given to her after a small series of fights where Mara had been possessed. Rosik tends to only carry the blade when expecting an important or challenging battle, but keeps it well maintained and safe as a reminder of the events.((Halonic Inquisitor's Greatsword))

"Blank"

Rosik's first Greatsword, she had Blank forged by a member of the Blacksmith's guild when she began training with Gilawafe. Large, black and rather imposing for the most part; or it would be if not for the weapon's most notable feature; A well made, detailed Moogle Pommel. Upon closer inspection, one would notice small holes in the design that, when air passes through, allows for a whistling sound reminiscent of a Moogle's squeeking. However, the threaded pommel comes with one more surpise; The very top of the moogle pommel's pom is hinged, revealing a small fuse beneath, and hinting at the small amount of explosive ordinance beneath. While not particularly powerful, more reminiscent of a large firecracker than a proper hand bomb, Rosik will occasionally take the technique of ending one rightly to its natural conclusion. The name was suggested by a man Rosik had dueled, who came with the name due to the distinct noise it made when swung, stating that it made his mind go blank. ((Monstrous Mogsword))

Yellow Blanket

Hidden at the bottom of her satchel is a neatly folded, always clean yellow blanket. Rosik seldom takes it out, but will become extremely defensive of it should anyone touch it.

Blue Leather Collar

While at first glance the collar seems fairly normal, a closer inspection easily reveals a small lock keeping it in place, and a series of runes carved into it. Though its aetheric presence is faint, there's clearly some form of enchantment on it. Whatever the reason, Rosik never seems bothered by it.((Dragonskin Choker))

Linkpearl

Rosik keeps her linkpearl in her ear at almost all times, with several frequencies attached to it. A small chime rings at any communication on it.((Though I will only emote such things if they're relevant so as to avoid unnecessary dinging.)) She can use it hands free so long as she locks a frequency, which is useful for giving orders, but otherwise must adjust or tap the pearl to speak. A small glow would be noticeable if it were picking up her voice.

Leather Bound Journal

Often either directly on or beneath her blanket, Rosik keeps a journal within her satchel, as well as quill and ink. Nothing but string and a tight hold prevents the journal from being read.

Old Ishgardian Lance

Perhaps from another era in Ishgard's history, Rosik purchased this heavy-headed dragonslayer's tool from a curio shop. It posesses several designed carvings, and is clearly old, though Rosik is no historian, knowing only that its of a good make. However, because of its perceived age and unknown historic qualities, she does not carry it often, using it, perhaps, only for Big Game or Cavalry((Heavy Metal Lance)).

Shimmering Leather Jerkin

Context: Another purchase from the Curio shop, this thick leather jacket was said to possess a small protective enchantment. Having wanted to be able to further protect herself and differentiate the piece from others, she bought some simple plates and strapped them to the jacket for a bit of added protection. She has yet to find out precisely what the enchantment is or how strong, but speculates that it provides some minimal protection against magic. Only the leather has a slight shimmer to it. Less Notable Weapons

Due to her long career, lack of spending throughout most of it, and finally having settled to a less nomadic life, Rosik has a collection of weaponry to be prepared for more situations, with the ones above seldom coming out of her armory without careful thinking. Having fought most of her life, she seldom travels unarmed, favoring a simple Halberd on long treks, and either a longsword or an old Falchion for walks.

Miscellaneous Satchel Supplies

Rosik's large satchel allows for her to carry a lot of emergency supplies; Several coinpurses, gysahl greens, ethers, rations, bandages, throwing knives, parchemt, fire shards, and slips with her Linkpearl Frequency can always be found within her satchel. Occasionally, she may carry books or other small weapons,but neither are guaranteed like the others on the list.
